First, it is wildly overpriced. This entire company is a scam. Nearly every single detail of every…read moresingle day there are hidden costs. The cruise boasts that food is included. The food is terrible. No hyperbole, their food is awful. At LEAST one of us in our party had immediate diarrhea following every meal. They have poor quality food that was a variety of undercooked, overcooked or tasteless. The dining areas were dirty and packed. You could NEVER sit in peace and eat. You were usually touching the person next to you and staff ushered you to eat as fast as you can and leave immediately. You couldn't explore the options in the breakfast/lunch/dinner buffets because it was too busy. Most of the food was picked over or had a HUGE line. The first morning I wanted to try and omelet that was made special for you but the wait was over 20 minutes so I declined. One day, we splurged and ate at one of the "restaurants" on board. It was comically overpriced. We thought "why not, at least we can avoid the zoo of the buffet". The food was tasteless swill. The service was good at least. You had a "personal chef" to serve you disgusting slop. For someone to personally cook for you and only you, it had to be delicious right? Nope. Every course was not cooked properly. It was clearly frozen, cheap and pitiful ingredients. It was garbage that was presented nicely. They put a bow on the buffet food next door and had the audacity to charge you over $100 for it. In terms of excursions, it's better to try to figure something out on your own at each stop. Every beach, destination, or location was utterly packed and unorganized. You had to fight for lounge chairs that were "included" on each beach. If you didn't fight, you didn't get one. Umbrellas cost extra, food cost extra, transport cost extra, every Royal Caribbean staff who said hello wanted a tip. Every excursion has hidden costs. It is cheaper and better to explore the ports on your own and do your own thing rather than giving them your business for poorly executed excursions. I couldn't speak to the excursions that cost over $1000 but all the mid to lower priced excursions are overpriced tourist traps. Day to day on the ship was a struggle to do anything relaxing. Every inch of the ship is crowded. Lounge chairs were worth their weight in gold. The prime locations are NEVER available. You have to be aggressive and assertive to get anything on the ship. Nothing says relaxation like watching a drunk woman push a child to the ground for a lounge chair. EVERY day I witnessed people fighting over chairs. The stations for food, drinks, etc all come with a long line no matter what time of day. Elevators were a mandatory annoyance. The ship has many floors and elevators are nearly essential to navigating your way around to do anything. The wait for elevators was way too long. Plan for an extra 5-10 minutes to do anything as you will always be waiting for an elevator. Then there was the "packages". There are packages for food, drinks, internet, etc. Almost everything has an extra cost. Even activities on the ship cost money. The "waterpark" on board did not work the entire trip and our floor lost plumbing for 24 hours. No refunds on either front. They had the audacity to offer a 5% discount on another cruise. They'd make money on that deal. Greedy, awful, company. The drink package for alcohol is ridiculously expensive but honestly almost necessary. The only way to survive the day to day annoyances, awful food, awful people, pushy and aggressive staff, is to be blind drunk. By the time you pay for the "packages" or get the all-inclusive feel, you'd be better off spending that incredible amount of money on a new car or traveling to several different countries instead. Another fun aspect of this cruise was that EVERY day I was harassed by staff to upgrade my cruise package, buy a special dinner, get a massage, upgrade an excursion, get some special deal, etc. They legitimately did not respond to "No thank you". Not ONCE did they respect my "no". "But it's the deal of a lifetime", "Sir, you can't say no when you hear this". They AGGRESSIVELY pursued you. This is also not hyperbole or an exaggeration. Every. Single. Day. I needed to firmly and aggressively say "no" and nothing worked to get them to stop. At LEAST 5 times a day they would aggressively try to sell you something. They harassed EVERYONE. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. They did not respond to declining politely, or aggressively. They did not respond to you walking away or asking them to "please leave me alone". They did not respond to any attempt to get them to stop. They LITERALLY would not stop until they said their 5 minute pitch. I feel bad if they've pushed people people into buying more useless garbage. The last little detail was our room. It was dirty, right off the bat. The floor was not clean. The bedding was clearly not clean. I'm not entirely sure what type of hairs were on our windowsill, but they were short and curly.

Since we were in Miami during my prev. birthday trip, it was one of my birthday presents. Tickets ($20 per person) were available for purchase via Miami Roller Rink's website. Our Admission Tickets were shown at the door as we went through the front entrance. On this day, we visited Miami Roller Rink to attend "We Love The 90's" Skate Party. Skating during that several-hour session, the dj played fantastic 90's music. All 90's Everything....90's Hip-Hop, Reggae, Soca, Pop, R & B - you name it, & that dj played it. Skating to 90's "Oldies But Goodies" while singing was a good way to spend out on a Saturday Night. There are lockers for your belongings. There are snacks, food for purchase. Clean Bathrooms. There are also some Arcade Games. Seating space is on the sidelines for those that want to sit, to hang out w/ out skating, or to rest in-between skating. The roller rink is a nice size & Miami Roller Rink has lots of weekday / weekend events. These include: *Freestyle Mondays Skate Night - 8pm - 11pm (Ages 16+) *Learn to Skate Classes for all ages - Mon & Wed - 6pm - 7pm (kids) & 7pm - 8pm (adults) / Sat. 9am - 10am *intermediate Tuesday Speed Skating Sessions *Open Skate - Sunday - 12pm - 7:30pm *Afterschool Skate Events - Thurs. 4:30pm.- 7:30pm. What I did like was there spring break schedule for kids and even a skate & prayer session. Seems like management really likes to involve all ages and activities for the community and that's amazing. It was a great first impression for sure !

I have even seen some adults out on the ice learning to skate too. The class is 45 minutes long. The instructors start off with some warm up exercises to the beat of some music and this lasts about 5 minutes. The music is then turned off and they break the students up in groups which is based on their experience levels. They then work on different techniques; starting, stopping, going backwards etc. That lasts 35 minutes. The final 5 minutes is free skate with the music back on and everyone skates in a big circle. Pure fun. I forgot how much I paid for the lessons, but I think it was in the 100 range for 4 lessons. The sessions are usually 8 weeks long, but my daughter started in middle so we were prorated. The reason why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because the rental skates suck. The skates are beat up and the blades are dull. Beyond that the lessons are solid. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and bring a jacket because it's cold in there:)

I just found it strange, however, they do offer an additional item that I've never seen either. Complimentary hot chocolate for everyone who purchased a ticket to ice skate. The quality of the rentals aren't too great... it was not only the fact that my skate hurt but it hurt to the degree that I had to take several breaks because of the pain. When I went to take my break to get my hot chocolate, the king stared to get long because whoever was the cashier was not there and chatting in the back. The two food preparers saw us and didn't say anything, not even a greeting or "there will be someone with you soon". That in my opinion is a complete lack of training and lack of customer service. I do have to give credit where credit is due. The rink itself is probably one of the largest ones in the area and well kept, clean, and friendly towards kids, but it definitely needs improvement in terms of additional services offered and customer service itself.
