Chicken was good. Wait wasn't so bad compared to what Ive heard. All in all it took about 25/30 minutes in the summer heat to get food. They have a seating area that was comfortable seeing it was not crowded. We went around 1130 . My complaint is I paid 25.85 for 2 meats and didn't get but one. I have been coming to Roland Webb for years. Today was my most disappointing experience as the ribs taste like lighter fluid. The macaroni and cheese wasn't as it usually is it was dry with tons of pepper in it for some reason the greens were cooked all the way I asked for my sauce on the side. There was no sauce in my bag. My folks have lived not too far from here for nearly 20 years and we have never thought to try this spot out even when they were just a food truck. I had been waiting on this establishment to reopen because I always loved the brisket. I went Friday and ordered 2 brisket dinners, a rib dinner and a rib sandwich. I waited over an hour. I finally received my food and headed home. I open the brisket and it was loaded but the slices were mainly just fat and the pieces that weren't were as tough as leather. Omgoodness is all I can say, tried the fat box today with beef ribs, chicken wings, and Mac n cheese. My cousin brought me here and we got our food to go. The establishment seems pretty busy and I can see why. The food did NOT disappoint the Mac n cheese was on point flavor, texture, cheesy creaminess and all. The chicken wings were fried not what I expected but definitely not disappointing, the flavor was there. Last but absolutely not least, the ribs.......the ribs were falling off the bone flavorful, and just straight delicious, even the sauce was good which for me is a rare find. I can tell how much time they put into their ribs because they were fantastic. As far as the sides, my review is subjective. After placing your order, they will call out your number over the intercom. There is not any indoor sitting room and I am uncertain if this is due to COVID restrictions. They have a wooden table to the side of the business that can be used to eat on. The menu is very massive and encompasses a lot of southern delicacies. I ordered the family rack of ribs and the sliced portion of brisket which I thought both were a little pricey. The ribs had a good flavor but they were so tough. I ended up giving most of my ribs to my dog because they were too chewy. The brisket was a little tough but better than the ribs. Brisket didn't have any bark which I like. The mac n cheese is nothing to write home about and the greens were flavorful. The cornbread is the best thing I tasted. In addition the women in the takeout portion of the restaurant is pretty rude and abrasive. You will NOT get service with a smile here. The food came out in 15 min which I anticipated being longer. I just heard of this place 2 weeks ago and wanted to give it a try. Although it's a BBQ joint, I saw that they serve baked turkey wings with stuffing on Sundays. The wings must be very popular because they were sold out just an hour after opening. I was dissapointed but went with the baked chicken with stuffing, collard greens and candied yams. As I stand outside in line (only 2 at a time inside due to covid-19), I chatted with some folks about this being my first time. They assured me I won't be disappointed. They were right! The chicken was fall off the bone tender and covered with a flavorful gravy with a savory stuffing. The sweet potatoes were heavenly with that hint of lemon how my mama used to make. And the collard greens were good but needed vinegar and hot sauce to bring out their full flavors. They also gave a nice cornbread muffin. All of this for $11.95. Definately enough for 2 meals. I, then attempted to order online but got an "online ordering unavailable" error message. The hours are never clear though. I ride over there today and there is a sign on the door that says closed until spring 2023. Got ribs without sauce and string (green) beans because I'm on keto and you can't be sure with collard greens in this area-- they might have sugar on them. Basic meal: I paid $18 for a half slab and a small side and I'm pretty satisfied with the value. The ribs are some of the best I've had in the DMV area. Without sauce they were tasty and palatable unlike most other local places. I can't wait to try their Mac and cheese and I think I will get cabbage on the next visit but this is a tasty carry out spot that's worth a weekend visit.
