Barely any wait and we got seated right away. The service was fast and the server was attentive. Good basic brunch food like eggs, toast, potatoes etc. the presentation was cute on some of the dishes we ordered. We also ordered a pitcher of mimosas too but it was basically only one glass for the 5 of us which was okay. They had various juices to add which was nice. Even tho I didn't try the food, there were a couple things that looked really good (eg the pork belly Benedict!) and the ambiance inside is really light and airy - I do think this place would be great for brunch. They do have free 1 hr visitor parking at the San Jacinto building which forthright is just inside of (so parking right out front), but bear in mind since it's only an hour you can't dwell too long unless you park elsewhere. Last note - the staff were friendly, quick, and helpful with the drink! No issues there. Bathroom is shared inside the building and very clean/nice as well. Overall will be back eventually, even if just for drinks again. Just wish they were open a little later :)

Compared to the weekends, their schedule was a lot more open. On the weekends it can be nearly impossible to get a spot unless it's a few weeks in advance. We had a reservation at 8 am right when they opened, and when we walked in, we were seated immediately. The place looks like a modern twist on the old-school diners your grandparents love. There's also an upstairs and downstairs patio. Plenty of space! We were sat at one of the two-person tables. To start, I ordered their house drip coffee while my girlfriend got their "Lil Remi," an iced cappuccino with salted caramel. The black coffee was excellent and flavorful, while my girlfriend thought her Lil Remi was like a milkier shaken espresso that she really liked. From their starters, we ordered their Blueberry Lemon Pop Tart to share. I am a sucker for a homemade Pop Tart, and the jam on the inside was extremely fresh, and the icing and crust of the Pop Tart itself was sturdy and full of flavor. For our entrees, I ordered their Texas Hash with added avocado while my girlfriend ordered their famous Paperboy Pancake with chocolate chips as a full breakfast with bacon and two over-hard eggs. It wasn't a long wait at all to get our food. The Texas hash looked great and was presented quite nicely, which is a shame because I immediately proceeded to mash it all together to make sure every bite had a perfect balance of the roasted pork, sweet potatoes, egg, and avocado. It was very filling and substantial, which is great because I needed it to last me up to dinner. The pancake is the star of the show and is worth the order alone. Get your ass to Rolling Rooster right now and get some fish. So good. The other stuff was pretty fine but that catfish was sublime. Nice and professional staff. At the SE corner of Mopac & Wells Branch. In the end of the strip mall closest to Mopac. My first impression was it seemed kind of expensive but first impressions aren't always correct. On second thought and with a happy full belly of delicious catfish I say if you want quality then you gotta pay to play. Did I mention how GOOD the fish was? It for sure bumpt my score to 4 stars. Will try waffles, desert, & check out full bar next visit. I see they currently have a regular and reverse happy hour. Gotta go get my drink on. The interior designer did quality work. I was really hoping to like this place. We had the fried pickles to start and they had a heavy dusting of salt on them. Not that I'm against salt, but it was over powering and made me question whether or not the lid to the salt shaker cane off while they were seasoning. The collard greens and the fried fish were also over seasoned for my tastes. The chicken and waffles were good though. We discovered this place a few years ago and it honestly never disappoints. The food is consistently incredible, especially if you are looking for perfectly made comfort food. We usually go for the fried chicken/fish and waffles, but it's all good. And the service is great. I give an overall of 3. First thing first my chicken and fish came in a brown paper bag which allowed for my food to get soggy and cold quickly. I did not receive my Waffle which was apart of the meal I paid for, the part I was actually looking forward to. Also, my sweet potatoes were watered down, I gave them a 0 to the trash (gross). This restaurant is located near The Domain in a shopping plaza with plenty of free parking in the lot. The menu offers a wide selection of options and different combinations, but it is slightly overpriced. For example, a single wing or tender on the side is priced at $3.50. However, the food is very fresh and tasty! I highly recommend the chicken tenders, waffle, and oxtail! The tables were completely dirty (despite counter lady having all the time in the world to clean), the floor was filthy and the chairs were wobbly, like we might fall wobbly. There is no rhyme or reason to the dining setup. The bathroom was bad, real bad, also mentioned in many reviews, but obviously no one cares or reads reviews. We were waiting a long time and it was not busy at all. Other patrons were making comments about how long it was taking. You'll see other reviews that also mention absurd wait times, cooks must be in the back smoking. Finally she drops only the to go order. It had been 30 minutes at this point, 30 minutes at a burger joint where each customer should only take 3 minutes to cook for. Even if the entire place was filled to capacity one blind cook with a missing arm could get food out faster. At this point about 8 more people had come in and the lady at the counter said oh we can make you one when I went up to make sure I wasn't double charged, but hard no. I just waited 30 minutes for 1 hamburger, I couldn't imagine waiting in line behind 8 people, Id still be there and Raganarok would be happening outside. I can tell they do not read or take reviews serious as some of these same issues are over a month old. For anyone looking to open a restaurant in a decent part of austin this space will be available soon.

I was shocked when my order came up $27 plus change. It was a fried fish/shrimp combo with a cup of Gumbo. I anticipated paying maybe $20 max for lunch. The food did turn out good, would recommend the fried shrimp but ask for the price before you order.
