This pizza place located a stone throw away from the Sub Base is a MUST go. The pizza is delicious and the menu has enough variety to please anyone. My friends and I each ordered a half pizza and shared a dozen wings. Ordering the Princess Priscilla, the Poor Harley, and the Zoey Bear (Menu posted in photos) We got our food incredibly quickly. Without a doubt, the best pizza was the Zoey Bear which is a thai peanut pizza with chicken. The wings came out quickly also and the sides of ranch of blue cheese were INCREDIBLY generous. I want to love it. I really do. If the prices were better I think I would add an extra star(we voted a 2.5 in the house). The pizza is decent, some better than others. The crust is often burnt beyond what I like my wood fire pizza. The really problem is the toppings. You order the KONA and there may be one of each topping on each slice of pizza....that just stinks. Coming from a land of fast food pizza joints that load on the toppings, the pizzas can look a little sad. The toppings are fresh and great...just a bit scarce. Ordering delivery? You must spend at least $50.... So we pick up. The staff is kind enough. Some more than others. The wings are really good...but $1 a piece. It's just a little pricier than some of the other places....but once again, the wings are fresh and well made. Gluten free wood fired pizza! We were greeted by Babe, the owner's mom. That was a delight in itself. She made me feel welcomed and kinda like I was right at home. I ordered the Noah's Ark white pizza with a gluten free crust. The crust is not their own...a typical thin gluten free pie crust. The toppings, however, were fabulous! Mozzarella, ricotta, carmalized red onion, spinach and bacon. I asked for addrd fresh tomatoes....no problem! Hot, fresh, delicious! I would love to try ALL other combinations!!! My bf had wings. They weren't very spicey hot but meaty, cooked well and good. They offer many 'flavors' of wings...but he will only eat the 'real',buffalo wings with blue cheese (never ranch). Perfectly Rolled Crust. To see how good this pizza is just start with a plain cheese pizza. The pizza is very thin and lightweight barely measuring half an inch thick. The crust is Crisp and cracker-y and faintly blackened where it bubbles up towards the fire in the pizza oven.....this crust is not something you toss into the box like an afterthought. The sauce has a touch of sweetness and has a tangy punch of tomato flavor probably due to the high degree of tomato paste making up the sauce. Thankfully it's not the same watery red slosh that graces the bottoms of many a local pizza, but a thicker zesty tomato sauce. Today was less stellar of an experience... it took a long time for the waitress to take or order, and once we finally got to order we found out they were out of basically all of the toppings we wanted. First this was a take out order, but the staff was very attentive and quick to help with anything I might need not to mention very timely. Driving all the way (a whole 3 miles)to my hotel smelling this deliciousness was tantamount to torture. Ok long story short I ordered the Ivory Coast white pie. As I have tried this pizza (or close to) in many different establishments, in many different states/countries I can say just this. My wife & I ordered the "Kona" pizza which is essentially a Hawaiian - ham, pineapple, etc. On the side we ordered wings with their bourbon molasses glaze. The bourbon molasses in my opinion is a tangy barbecue sauce that is both sweet and sour. The food was delicious. TRT provided several varieties of coal fired pizzas from the basics to artisan pies. Our guests loved the food and stayed longer to eat pizza and remember my mother. We saw on Yelp that this place had good reviews so we decided to check it out for lunch. Our waitress suggested the Zoey Bear and we are glad we took her advice. I would have never thought to put Peanut sauce as the pizza base and top it with chicken, garlic, and ranch but it was so good. Two of us ate the entire pizza! They were also very accommodating with the preferences of our small children. The waitress offered the option of a single slice for them to share. The hole in the wall of the place provided a change from chain like pizza places and the artisan style pizzas hit the spot.
