We live in Sebring and met a few friends for lunch. I am never disappointed with the food or service. Our server was very attentive & friendly. The place is clean and welcoming. There are many farm themed decorations throughout the restaurant. The owner seated us and stopped at our table during our meal.

It's lovely and the staff is really warm and friendly. Great community vibe. Very happy with the food. It's unassuming on the outside and easy to skip over if you're passing through town, but really nice and kid friendly.

This fine family operated emporium has been on my rotation for comfort food for many years. Visit here for breakfast or lunch and you'll walk out with a warm tummy and a smile on your face every time! Atmosphere- It's a big L-shaped space with tons of booths, 4-tops, and a few 2-tops. Everything is spotless. It's always busy and the acoustics are mediocre, but nobody cares as they chow down basic American style food. Adult libations- Nope, this is a dry spot. At one time they had wine and beer but as they don't serve dinner it was too much hassle for too little return for just the lunch crowd. Customer service- A bunch of ladies both young and old get it done. They take your order via a hand-held electronic device and, if you use a card, you pay the same way. It's very convenient and makes checking out a snap. Food- A giant laminated sheet with breakfast on one side and lunch on the other. I've posted a ton of pics so peruse them at your leisure. The most expensive stuff on the menu is about $10 bucks so you won't need to take out a second mortgage! Breakfast here is the bomb, especially the many omelets. I've had at least six different types and have always been satisfied. This visit, I was here for lunch, and I could choose from every type of burger, sandwich, and salads in addition to a bunch of entrees. Note that most entrees include serve-yourself unlimited home-made soup. On this visit it was broccoli cheese and I smiled with every spoonful! I went with Country-Fried Chicken @ $10. A batter-fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes covered in dark gravy and grilled onions with a veggie on the side. There were also pork and steak variations. It was bliss on a plate! Not necessarily healthy or low cholesterol but completely satisfying! They overcook their vegetable sides here, so I try to remember to order a side salad instead. This time I forgot. I award this place four stars instead of five because of the acoustics and the vegies and worth a visit.

Solid restaurant in the Frost Proof area. It;s right off of 27 and easy enough to get in and out of, although it does have a smaller parking lot and can get busy. When we arrived we were promptly greeted and seated quickly. It was busy right after church time and filling up quickly - so I recommend you get there right after or before most churches end times if it's a Sunday. The menu s short but has a lot to offer. I had the salmon, which included access to the sides and salad bar. The salmon was delicious and the salad bar has a lot of offerings. All entrees include the sides and salad bar, so you get plenty of food, especially for the price point. The restaurant has an older feel to it, and has tons of vintage style movie posters all the way around. I was unsure why the movie posters, but it was neat! Overall: A Gets super busy on weekends, so go on off times if possible. Otherwise solid restaurant!

If you like a chewy ring around your eggs, this place is for you. When asked why the eggs had overheated rings around them, we were told that's how they make them. To our surprise, even the menu showed this disgusting habit.

Arriving- Not many folks have been to Frostproof as it's so tiny. It's a five mile straight shot off US Route 27. Big parking lot so that's not a problem. Ambience- Typical. Kitsch on the walls, booths and tables and a counter that seats 8-10. You've seen it all before. Kids are welcome. Customer Service- Several of the servers have been there many years and seen it all. You can expect them to be friendly and efficient. I've never had a problem. Food- It's rural Central Florida folks so expect standard American fare. This visit I Ordered a Meatlovers Omelet with Home Fries. It came with my choice of toast or a biscuit, but I skipped that because I knew I was getting a lot of food! Of course, I had coffee. The pre-tip tab was about $14. As you can see, a lot of food! The cook knows how to finish home fries. Note the beautiful browning but not burnt. They need a little more seasoning but still very good. The omelet was huge and packed with proteins. Delicious! So, you're blowing down route 27, maybe with the little munchkins, and you need a reliable breakfast or lunch. You're sick of chains. You can't go wrong here, and you should expect a 4-star experience!

We don't often find a fried chicken breast as nice as this one. The fried green tomatoes were plentiful and prepared just right and perfectly crisp. A large portion of the food pictures on Yelp are mine. I am eminently qualified to review this place so here you go! Arriving- On Main St., 30 seconds off US Route 27. The road is divided so you'll need a quick U-turn. You'll see a well-maintained large parking lot for your convenience. Visiting- This is a breakfast and lunch place but note that dinner type meals are available for lunch. This is Snowbird country and when they're in town I'd stay away from the late Sunday morning church rush. Trust me! Ambience- Florida kitsch and 50s-60s cars décor. Booths along the walls and the usual two-tops and four-tops. No problems with cleanliness. Pro Tip- Decent free wi-fi with no password hassles. Quaffing Choices- No booze here just fountain drinks. Of course, plenty of hot and iced coffee and tea. Pro Tip- If you are dying for an adult libation, have a great lunch here and 30 seconds down the road is a great dive bar that will meet your needs. Just Yelp it! Customer Service- Expect hustling, friendly, competent servers. It's very rare for me to have a problem and any I have are almost always trivial and rectified immediately! Food- A large, laminated sheet with breakfast and lunch on each side. Maybe a tent card with specials. Home-style, American-style comfort food brought to you in often very large portions. There are no surprises here. You'll recognize everything and nothing is fancy, just good, stick to your rib's food! See my pictures for lots and lots of examples. I like one of their several omelets for breakfast. Club sandwiches are large and fresh. The chef's salad is enormous! The Philly cheesesteak is better than decent. I recently enjoyed a giant pork tenderloin sandwich. Burgers are great. They maintain their fryers well and know how to use them so expect solid fried food. Pricing- Assuming you have a drink other than water, most of your meals here are going to be under $15 pre-tip and you will be stuffed! Just a super place for a quick and casual breakfast or lunch. Easily 4 and more like 4.5 stars!

Awful! We live in the area and come often.. we sat at 7.. took 20 minutes for server to even get to…read morethe table.. we received our food at 9! That's right 9! We ordered 3 burgers (2 med, 1 well done, the well done being for a child) and 2 tunas.. all 3 burgers came out wrong (wrong temp and wrong toppings, one burger had wire brushing in it, which owner argued, saying there's no way) tuna was ice cold, and not seared cold, like fridge cold (which again owner argued saying there's is no way) . Server was great and apologized over and over ( which she should not be apologizing she's not the one in the kitchen) owner (female) finally came to the table, asked us how our dinner was. When we expressed how it was, she began to argue with us, saying there is no way that things were wrong. At one point addressing the server as if she was the one who made our food. At this point, we had enough and knew it was not going anywhere! The owner did take off 1 burger and 1 tuna.. which was appreciated. After being talked down too, we all expressed at the table, that we would rather just pay our bill and leave! Not one time were we rude, disrespectful or mean in any way to be spoken to the way she spoke to us. Absolutely wild experience! We truly love this place.. but this has definitely set a tone. Edit... Her response says it all! Facial expressions were because we were absolutely appalled at the fact that she was arguing about our experience! While ahi tuna is supposed to have a cool center the fish was ICE COLD.. FRIDGE TEMP FROM TOP TO CENTER! When asked to take it back to heat it.. it was microwaved.. which then turned it gray.. but once returned that pink center was cool, not FRIDGE COLD! The wire brush was in the burger.. she argued with us stating it was a hair from the onion(which burger was supposed to have no onion) .. even though you could perfectly see it was a copper wire of some sort! Mind you it was found at the end of the burger. The reason we didn't take the offer of new food, is because we were done.. 2 hours to get our food, and they waited till the absolute end, to approach our table! By that point we had eaten what we could and she was speaking to us by this point like we were awful people.. WHY WOULD WE STAY ANOTHER HOUR! Especially after being talked to like she was! We couldn't get a word in! So as you can tell about her response from here, you can only imagine her response in real time!!! Horrible display of an owner!
