We live in Sebring and met a few friends for lunch. I am never disappointed with the food or service. Our server was very attentive & friendly. The place is clean and welcoming. There are many farm themed decorations throughout the restaurant. The owner seated us and stopped at our table during our meal.

It's lovely and the staff is really warm and friendly. Great community vibe. Very happy with the food. It's unassuming on the outside and easy to skip over if you're passing through town, but really nice and kid friendly.

This fine family operated emporium has been on my rotation for comfort food for many years. Visit here for breakfast or lunch and you'll walk out with a warm tummy and a smile on your face every time! Atmosphere- It's a big L-shaped space with tons of booths, 4-tops, and a few 2-tops. Everything is spotless. It's always busy and the acoustics are mediocre, but nobody cares as they chow down basic American style food. Adult libations- Nope, this is a dry spot. At one time they had wine and beer but as they don't serve dinner it was too much hassle for too little return for just the lunch crowd. Customer service- A bunch of ladies both young and old get it done. They take your order via a hand-held electronic device and, if you use a card, you pay the same way. It's very convenient and makes checking out a snap. Food- A giant laminated sheet with breakfast on one side and lunch on the other. I've posted a ton of pics so peruse them at your leisure. The most expensive stuff on the menu is about $10 bucks so you won't need to take out a second mortgage! Breakfast here is the bomb, especially the many omelets. I've had at least six different types and have always been satisfied. This visit, I was here for lunch, and I could choose from every type of burger, sandwich, and salads in addition to a bunch of entrees. Note that most entrees include serve-yourself unlimited home-made soup. On this visit it was broccoli cheese and I smiled with every spoonful! I went with Country-Fried Chicken @ $10. A batter-fried chicken breast with mashed potatoes covered in dark gravy and grilled onions with a veggie on the side. There were also pork and steak variations. It was bliss on a plate! Not necessarily healthy or low cholesterol but completely satisfying! They overcook their vegetable sides here, so I try to remember to order a side salad instead. This time I forgot. I award this place four stars instead of five because of the acoustics and the vegies and worth a visit.

Solid restaurant in the Frost Proof area. It;s right off of 27 and easy enough to get in and out of, although it does have a smaller parking lot and can get busy. When we arrived we were promptly greeted and seated quickly. It was busy right after church time and filling up quickly - so I recommend you get there right after or before most churches end times if it's a Sunday. The menu s short but has a lot to offer. I had the salmon, which included access to the sides and salad bar. The salmon was delicious and the salad bar has a lot of offerings. All entrees include the sides and salad bar, so you get plenty of food, especially for the price point. The restaurant has an older feel to it, and has tons of vintage style movie posters all the way around. I was unsure why the movie posters, but it was neat! Overall: A Gets super busy on weekends, so go on off times if possible. Otherwise solid restaurant!

If you like a chewy ring around your eggs, this place is for you. When asked why the eggs had overheated rings around them, we were told that's how they make them. To our surprise, even the menu showed this disgusting habit.

Although…read moretheir address is Frostproof, they are not in the town but actually on the Northbound side of Route 27. Let's get the end result out of the way first. These folks are a work-in-progress with some good points and some bad, but I do think they hold some promise! Atmosphere- Pure Florida kitsch! You've seen it all before. I was there for breakfast and the place was spotless! Customer Service- Five stars! My server and I recognized each other from another local restaurant that I patronize. She was awesome as usual. Efficient and a bright smile and a pleasant demeanor. Breakfast Menu- Standard American fare with the only small surprise is that the sausage had three choices. link, patties and smoked. Food- I went with a classic American breakfast of two scrambled, smoked sausage, hashbrowns and wheat toast. It was out in good time and piping hot. It cost me ten bucks. Now come the issues. As you can see from my pic there was plenty of food! The eggs were spot on and delicious. The toast was thick cut and very high quality. It was supposedly buttered but with very little, so it was dry. My bad for not ordering more butter. The smoked sausage was nice and Smokey which I loved. Problem #1 was it was soooo salty that I couldn't finish it. Problem #2 was one piece crossed the line from grilled to burnt. There was a massive amount of hash browns. There is no other way to say it; they were nicely browned on the outside but a weird mush on the inside and very greasy. I was not a fan. In my very experienced opinion, the cook(s) need to get their act together! When a business is new, I always try to be gentle. Soooo I'm going with a very generous three stars and the caveat that we need to give them some time to smooth out the rough spots. I'll be back to try them again in a few weeks.

We ordered fried squash and fried green tomatoes for appetizer both had a light crispy batter and not greasy. I had the fried pork chops, beans and fried okra that were excellent especially with the house made bbq sauces. My wife had the tuna sandwich plenty of tuna and nice taste. One of our party had the cheeseburger fresh ground beef with lots of flavor. Not a huge menu but good Southern Food we will be back. Bathrooms are located outside in a courtyard but very clean. We take a trip to Legoland every now and again and every time we do we come and eat dinner here. We have loved every single meal. This time I branched out and tried another drink, I tried the sincerely, Lucille. It is vodka with fresh strawberries and basil, and it is amazing. Future Christina this is your new go to drink. My husband got his standard old-fashioned and enjoyed it. For food, I got the chimichurri steak, next time I should remember to get the chimichurri on the side just because my younger son didn't like the green stuff on the steak. The chimichurri is delicious. It was cooked perfectly at medium rare, I got their homemade chips as one of my sides because my kids wanted it. Their chips are so good that was definitely the way to go. I also got green beans which were amazing as well. My older son got the kids mac & cheese with a side of fries. I even loved his mac & cheese. It's definitely not the Kraft mac & cheese. My husband got the barbecue plate. He had mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes and loved all of it. My younger son ate off of all of our plates and we pretty much finished all our food. My younger son then got a dessert of vanilla ice cream with Oreos and he scarfed it down. We've never had a problem getting a seat here because it is a good size restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly. If you're anywhere close to this restaurant, you should be eating here.

Lots of options for a place you wouldn't expect this much to choose from. You can tell owner and long-time manager Alane really cares about this place being successful. Alane is the daughter of Howard Solomon, the creator of the neighboring castle. Many of Howard's family work at the restaurant. The food is good. And the setting is excellent. Inside seating is a large ship built by Howard. There is additional inside seating below the lighthouse that has an artistic tree in the middle. Alane decorates the tree depending on the season. Salads are large with a number of ingredients. The Reuben is tasty and comes with your choice of one side. Crackers brought with the meal are Ritz. Did I say the service is good. Make sure you walk around the restaurant area as there are many decorations, including the risque 'netted' mermaid in the ship.

-7 years of patronage! -…read more I was 1st to review these fine folks in 2018 and have since had breakfast here many times. This visit was my 1st time for lunch! Important note- This is NOT the franchise chain with a similar name! This is a different family-run, single location restaurant. Pro Tip- Breakfast & Lunch only. Just check Yelp for dinner options in the area. Arriving- They are on the Northbound side of US Route 27, hidden in the Sebring Square Plaza. They're nestled among a string of plazas and signage is not great. Use your GPS. Hint- Look for the Winn-Dixie or Advanced Auto Parts signage and you're there! As they are in a plaza, parking is almost always a snap. Ambience- Don't get excited. It's standard Florida Kitch. You don't go to an inexpensive restaurant to admire the décor. You expect neat and clean, and you will absolutely get that here. Pro Tip- Wi-Fi can be spotty due to the business location. They do have Wi-Fi, but it's restricted to management only. Not the servers, not the customers, just management! Say goodbye to one half star! Customer Service- 10 Stars! I was seated with a menu and had my drink within a minute. I placed my order within a minute of when I was ready and my food was out in less than 10 minutes. Just perfection! My wonderful server was Bobbi-Lynn. I know this because a card on the table told me so. When she delivered my check, she flipped the card over and there was a message. See my picture. So unique and appreciated! Pro Tip- As with many great places in this area, the Sunday church rush is something you do not want to experience! Here it begins around noon so beware of Sundays! Food- Standard American comfort food at its best. As they are in the city of Sebring, you might see a dish called Sebring this or Sebring that, but that's just a marketing ploy. It's still just good ole comfort food. On this visit my trusted Yelp Friend, Art J., recommended the Patty Melt & Crinkle Cut Fries so I went with that. Great job Art! My Melt was piping hot and cooked just as I requested. The caramelized onions were perfect. The fries were hot and crispy. Just a wonderful lunch for about $13 and change. Conclusion- Over 8 years, these fine folks have almost 700 reviews that average 4.5 stars from Yelp and that other site that some folks use and that's impressive. When I first reviewed them, this wasn't true, but they have matured, and I now agree! If they ever change their misguided Wi-Fi decision, I'd go 5 stars!
