I had a great time at this restaurant. It started to rain and there was no problem moving my group inside! Plus our serve was incredibly attentive. I got the French Dip and the baked chips that came with were sooo good!

The Roost offers fairly standard fare in a bar restaurant type atmosphere. We met friends here for dinner on Friday night, since there was a band playing that we were interested in seeing. Beware, that when there is a band, it is very loud throughout the entire restaurant. There is outdoor seating though. We ordered a pizza and Chicken Francese. Both were acceptable. The pizza was a bit burned around the edges, but I wasn't expecting much. Our server, however, was the star. She was super personable, efficient and constantly had a smile on her face. Something you don't always see with wait staff. As a side note, I had made a reservation, which they could not find. It didn't impact us, because we still received the booth furthest away from the band, as I had requested.

Love this place!!! The steak bites, pretzels and spinach/artichoke dip are my favorite appetizers. Awesome happy hour deals and game day specials. Great selection of weekly food specials and items on their standard menu. From tacos to burgers, wraps, soups and salads; it's all really tasty! Live music on the weekends although I've never been for this; we usually go for lunch or Sunday funday! Friendly, attentive staff, great food and service plus a very chill atmosphere. What more can you ask for?!!! And the decorations are THE BEST!!! Mary, one of their staff and bartenders is so creative and keeps the place decorated to the nines!!! If you haven't, you must try!!!

amazing food! the menu is consistently changing with new, different and interesting dishes! each time i have gone here, i have not been let down. everything i have ordered has been a 10/10. portions are large and are amazing in quality. the ambiance of the outside patio makes for a great lunch or early dinner! frequently playing live music at night, i look forward to every meal here.

The Roost was recommended to us by some good friends and we decided to make the 25 minute drive to meet them there for dinner on a weeknight. The restaurant is located on a golf course and is open to the public. They have a fairly large indoor space with a bar and also an outdoor patio situated right on the edge of the green. We chose to eat out on the patio although it was a bit chilly. They did have outdoor heaters which made it comfortable enough for us to enjoy the pleasant setting while dining. The menu has a lot of great variety of options for just about every taste including salads, appetizers, entrees and sandwiches. I was also impressed with the decent selection of local NJ and PA craft beers on draft and a pretty adequate selection of wines and specialty cocktails. They also boasted daily special themed weekly specials such as $5 margaritas on Tuesdays and half price wine bottles and specialty pizzas on Wednesday as well as live music on the weekends. First we started by ordering a few appetizers. We selected Cajun steak bites, bang-bang shrimp, spinach and artichoke dip, and Thai chili wings. I would probably skip the shrimp as they were just crispy breaded shrimp and not the traditional bang-bang sauce we were expecting. The others apps were all equally delicious. As we happened to be there on Wednesday so decided to order a pizza. They had some odd choices such as mac and cheese pizza, cheeseburger pizza, and others. We chose the vodka rigatoni pizza. We also ordered a flounder sandwich and our friends ordered the fish tacos which they thoroughly enjoyed as well as open faced turkey reuben but requested it made closed which they accommodated. The flounder sandwich was delicious but the PIZZA stole the show. The pizza was much bigger than I expected and could easily feed 3-4 people. It was cooked to perfection with a NY style crispy thin crust, perfect amount of delectable sauce, and delicious toppings. We even brought half the pie home and it was just as good reheated the next day. All I can say is that the Roost was a pleasant surprise and a hidden gem especially if you love great pizza, appetizers, and craft beer. I can't wait to come back and try some more menu items.

A cozy bar area greets customers if you want to grab a drink while waiting to be seated. They also offer upstairs seating, rounding out a welcoming and highly professional atmosphere that has stood the test of time.   THE FOOD * Bread Service: The bread arrived with a tasty honey, chive, thyme, salt, and pepper butter, which was a nice touch. * Kumamoto Oysters: Ice cold and refreshing. They were complemented with cocktail sauce, watermelon mignonette, and fresh grated horseradish. * Crab Salad Special: Served in a martini glass. It featured cold, chilled crab marinated with tequila, triple sec, and lime, carefully laid on a bed of avocado mousse with an Old Bay-lined rim. Delicious and refreshing during a hot summer evening. * Tri-Color Beet Salad: A roasted beet and citrus salad with whipped ricotta and a pistachio honey vinaigrette that provided rich bites. * New York Strip: Sourced from Allen Brothers in Chicago. A showstopper with excellent crust and beef flavor. We ordered the Au Poivre sauce, which was tasty, but the steak was so good on its own that I ended up using the sauce for my sides! * 14 oz Center Cut Filet: Also sourced from Allen Brothers. Tender as expected with a wonderfully executed crust. * French Bordeaux Wines: We ordered the Chateau Loudenne Medoc and the Chateau De Sales Pomerol. Both were tasty, medium-to-full-bodied, and served as excellent accompaniments to the steaks. * Tuna Special: Nicely seared tuna served over vegetables and udon noodles. * Limoncello Pistachio Tiramisu: Very light and a nice end to the meal. * Kentucky Butter Cake: Served in a cast-iron pot with vanilla ice cream. Yummy and rich.   THE SERVICE Our server, Gene, has been with the restaurant for 8 years and provided exceptional service. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, pointing out standout options like the pastrami-dusted bone-in filet and the 45-day aged tomahawk topped with a root beer bourbon bacon compound butter.   OVERALL A great steakhouse experience with a highly professional staff and a kitchen that flawlessly executes high-quality steaks. I felt like I was in the city with the gorgeous lighting and ambiance. My friend and I went on ladies night, where every Wednesday they have a DJ and 10% off food/drinks at the bar! We started off with 3 different apps, the zucchini fritte, the meat and cheese board for two, and the rice balls. Everything was phenomenal! The rice balls were stuffed with shredded beef instead of ground beef which I liked and the Gorgonzola cheese sauce was tangy and savory. The zucchini fritte was fried to a golden crisp and felt light and satisfying. The meat and cheese board is truly perfect for pairing with some pre-dinner drinks! Neither of us felt like drinking that night so I got the Stella Rose red berry spritz and she got the black berry spritz. These were fruity and sweet and perfect for a night out. Great alcohol free options. For dinner I got the cacio e pepe which came in a huge serving. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and I really liked how creamy and cheesy it was without feeling too heavy. My friend got the eggplant rollatini which was a humongous portion and she devoured it and still had some for leftovers. These were both great meat-free options. For dessert I had the chocolate lava cake which was rich and decadent. Perfect for sharing but mine was all for me! My friend had the creme brûlée which she indulged on without a single bite to spare! Can't forget to mention the impeccable service! Our server Andres was so sweet and took excellent care of us and always checked in with us. I'm so glad I finally checked out Spigola! This is a perfect restaurant for a great meal. Since it is an elevated atmosphere, this makes it extra special for birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, etc. With their big event space in the back, Spigola's is a wonderful spot for showers, rehearsal dinners, parties, even intimate weddings. My Chicken Piccata was well-seasoned and flavorful. Cons: While the staff was pleasant, the service was extremely slow--especially considering there were only seven tables seated and we were the first to arrive. Our table of five ordered just two appetizers, yet the entire meal took three hours to complete. This delay was not due to extended conversation but rather very slow kitchen execution and service. Additionally, over the course of three hours, I was served only two glasses of water, the second of which I had to request. Water glasses were left half-empty for long periods; refills should be automatic. Finally, the broccoli served with my Chicken Piccata was ice cold. Overall: There are many other Italian restaurants in the area offering comparable pricing with significantly better food quality and far superior service. Based on the above mentioned, I'd give this a 2 out of 5 stars as this restaurant has some redeeming qualities, but not an experience I'd return for.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.
