    16 Oz Prime Rib

I was craving Prime Rib and they had it. Made a reservation (long wait time if you don't). The 16 ounce was made to order and it was fantastic. They have the creamy and raw horseradish. I get both and really spice it up.

The food was great, but the service was amazing. Niche ambiance, somewhere between dive bar and country hometown feel. Cute friendly... bartender seemed to be throwing amazing cocktails according to nearby patrons praise of his skills. If they have the pretzel bites!!!! They were amazing! Delicious prime rib and perfect green beans... creamy horseradish was great but not very spicy... don't get tricked into getting extra aujus sauce ($4!) AND the Italian summer salad was unique and refreshing in a great way. Yum yum and all servers were extra nice and fun... seemed busy... might get a reservation.

The Roost is a true gem! From the time you walk in until the time you leave, you're welcomed with open arms. Zeke the host was fantastic on giving us the right table and our waitress was very attentive. The prime rib was to die for and the crêpes for dessert were amazing! Even the chef came out to check on everyone to see how they were doing which was a plus! Great wine selection and a full bar. Can't wait to go back!

Inside. We had a nice private booth.

The Roost was a great find! Although we only had a salad their menu is awesome! The decor is low key and fun featuring music artist throughout the years. If we could capture the blues music for you we would. Just perfect. Our server, Jack, was excellent! We must say that the bartender (Brad Pitt's younger brother) was outstanding and attentive. We were hoping to go back tomorrow for a full dinner, since it is our last night here, but they will be closed. Proud of them for taking Sunday off.e Thank you to The Roost for making our first night in Durango most comfortable and enjoyable!

Nice bar / restaurant. A little pricey for the atmosphere but the food and service was good. We'll eat here again when back in Durango.

Very nice and bordering on the upscale, but for reasonable price restaurant. The waitress couldn't have taken better care of us.

Many excellent vegetarian options, not just bar food. Really enjoyed my quinoa wrap. There used to be a really good poke bowl. Service isn't super quick when busy, but I don't mind luxuriating here.

The location was perfect for us because we were able to easily walk there from our hotel. We were lucky enough to get outdoor seating, which made the experience even better. It was great to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Durango weather, and people watch while having dinner. We decided to do a beer flight so we could sample a variety of their beers before committing to a full pint. It was a great way to try different styles, and we each ended up finding a favorite. Everything we tried was really good. My husband liked their Buffalo wings and whiskey burger, I enjoyed the seared tuna bowl, and our kids liked their pizza. It is definitely a busy and popular spot, especially during peak vacation times, so I would recommend putting your name in early and expecting there could be a wait. In our opinion it was worth it. Steamworks had a great casual vibe that worked well for both families and adults wanting to enjoy a brewery experience. The downtown location adds to the charm, and it definitely felt like one of those must visit spots while in Durango.
