Was not disappointed, the service was exceptional, even for a large party seeing the end of the dinner hour. The food was delicious; my steak was cooked to a perfect medium and had a gorgeous sear. This place is awesome! Our waitress, Angelique, was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the menu and dietary restrictions (I'm gluten free). They offer a great selection of gluten free and vegan options. I had the burger salad which was delicious but the star was the gluten free Mac and cheese. Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you--this farm to table restaurant is a hidden gem in MoVal. With house-made sauces, local ingredients, and vegan dishes that make you second guess if they're vegan--Rustik Fork can cater to everyone. The online menu has photos and reviews of dishes which I always find super helpful as someone who already Yelps everything to find photos before I order. My top picks are the loaded fries with the smoked jackfruit "pulled pork" and the watermelon sugar cocktail. My boyfriend also said the braised short rib was very tender and full of flavor. If light and refreshing cocktails are your thing, you'll feel right at home as most of the cocktails are fruit forward. I noticed there were less options for dark liquor based drinks, but I'm sure you could also order off menu. They also offer mocktails and organic soda if that's more your speed! RF's weakest offering is their dessert. We tried the coffee toffee cake which IMO sounded better than it actually was. The amount of toffee topping, cold brew ice cream, and whipped cream over powered the cake and overall was not worth $16. When you're not willing to drive the extra ~20 minutes to Riverside, Rustik Fork is a great option for a date night that has a wider selection than your typical New American restaurant. read more

I am SO bummed to give this awful review...but I had the worst french toast i have ever had. So dry..no time to soak the bread in egg mixture. Really dry. No butter,, slight drizzle of syrup. It is their most popular item. Ok, if that is the the case then WHY don't you have enough CHICKEN for the chicken & waffles. So i had to choose quick and asked for the french toash, with a side of bacon. They okay'd an order of kids chicken fingers and a separate kids order of waffles so the 10 year old could have what he wanted by buying 2 meals...server comes back-" ok so the chef has decided that we can make 1 order of chicken & waffles from the chicken he had set aside for 1 kids oder of chicken strips." and I just stayed w the french toast. 2 others had a bowl of some sort of root veggies w egg on top. Other friend got vegan eggs Benny. She said it had strong indian favors and heat which were out of place and the "eggs" were strangely runny.... so it turned her off as they were unappealing. The 10yr old had the best dish with the last serving of chicken & waffles rustled together. The server was nice & attentive. The menu is seasonal, so you scan a QR code for it or use a restaurant iPad. The brussel sprouts were perfection. Generous portion. Crunchy outer layer. Sweet wine-soaked cranberries. Balanced with goat cheese. The bourbon bacon jam burger & fries were fantastic. The bacon jam was talked about for days afterward. It was that delicious. My favorite was the grilled wild salmon. Fresh, organic ingredients creatively construed for the perfect balance of flavor, nutrition, and texture. An absolutely lovely experience. What to say about this place..? For my wife and I who came here tonight for our date night - it was soooo disappointing. The food was just ok and was NOT worth the price tag that it came with. My wife ordered a burger that came not as she ordered (she ordered all condiments - including grilled onions - be placed on the side, yet it came with them IN the burger), and it was "dry as f*ck!" The drink that my wife also ordered (sugar watermelon) was actually SPICY!! Why would you name a spicy drink "sugar"?? It's a bit misleading, wouldn't you think?? The server was another issue. Not once did he come to check up on us besides ordering and giving us the check, and my wife needed to ask him twice for a take home box. Never coming back here again. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. We are not from the area and drove from our hotel in Corona. When we arrived, we were turned away because they couldn't seat anything without a reservation (we were only a party of two and the restaurant was not super busy). We went back to the car but then realized they were accepting reservations through Yelp, so we made one for a party of two. When we went back to see if we would get seated, the hostess just said "oh, you guys booked a reservation?" WTF! She could have just told us to make the reservation if that was their rule and offered to seat us anyway but it was like she didn't even want us there. First red flag. The seating was uncomfortable, it was way too loud to actually enjoy conversation, and the food was terrible. I had the vegan mac and cheese which did not taste like mac and cheese at all, and the vegan burger, which was uncooked. How do you even manage to undercook a vegan patty??? I also had the blood orange soda, which was also terrible. My friend's burger was also undercooked and the meat was pink even though she ordered it well done. On top of that, the fries were also terrible because they put some kind of seasoning that tastes like straight up sugar. I didn't know it was possible to mess up a side of fries. We didn't finish our food because we were scared to get food poisoning. They also took forever to take our order and it seemed like the manager was doing everything and the staff was kind of just lounging around. I overheard them talk about staying open until 10, even though their closing time was supposed to be 9, which just shows how unorganized they are. Maybe if the manager wasn't doing everything they wouldn't have to stay late. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. This was the worst $80 I've ever spent in my life. read more

FYI I don't give less than favorable reviews unless they really deserve it. I will start with the positives. The ambience and decor are nice, inviting and warm. The staff is nice .... The beet salad was good ... now here is where they really lost it for me. 2 couples plus my husband and I came in at the same time all with the same reservation. They seemed a bit shocked by this and had to clear tables which took longer than it should be but that is probably because they have 1 waitress and from what we could tell the dishwasher was the busser as well. We got seated after waiting a bit... not a big deal but it took a while to get anything because 1 waitress. She finally came over and informed us they were out of a few dishes ... mind you this is 6:30 on Sunday evening ... I made a different choice and my husband ordered a sandwich and guess what ... out of that too! We made new choices and got wagu rib eye that was $60... which is pricy but ok if it's worth it. The appetizer we got was a baked squash thing which was ok but large and drenched in oil ... we were half way done with salad and app and out came the steak. Which if I'm eating at a lesser expensive place is fine but we weren't close to finishing the first part. Didn't leave a steak knife so my husband got up and grabbed one. Waitress saw it and said nothing. A few minutes later she was talking to the people next to us about scheduling and apparently it's normal for them to not have much staff. Which is insane to me! The steak was super chewy like they had it warm and then threw it in high heat for a minute. Waitress never asked if we liked any of it. My opinion is if you are going to have expensive food on the menu .. you need the staff to back it up. Had a wonderful dinner here on New Year's Day. Both the hostess and our server were incredibly warm and welcoming, and inside had a very open yet cozy feel to it. This Rustik Fork Eatery is a unique restaurant. I'd say you should definitely make a reservation before you come! My friend and I did not realize how popular this spot is. And we rolled up without a reservation and had to wait about 45 minutes. So a reservation is highly encouraged. Also, please take note of the hours. They are open in the morning and then close until 5pm. At 5pm there is a rush of people showing up. The food is different. One of the great things about The Rustic Fork Eatery is that they cater to all diets. If you are Keto, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, or an alien; they will have something for you to eat lol That being said, I purposely ordered the vegan and vegetarian options to try. My friend ordered the carnivore options. The vegan Mac and cheese is definitely vegan tasting. I will not lie, it does not taste like make and cheese. It has an odd taste. Hard to describe. My friend also tried it and said it tasted "weird." I wouldn't order that again. I also ordered a beet salad, and the orange cauliflower dish. The salad was fresh and delicious! The hanger steak was juicy and well seasoned, and my miso cod was fork tender and melted in my mouth. The bok choy however was, in my opinion, not a good accompaniment to the cod, at least not in the way it was cooked. The leaves were crisp and dried up, making it very difficult to eat. I would have liked it better if the bok choy was parboiled first and maybe sautéed afterward. When talking about this weeks date night, we decided to give dinner at the Rustk Fork a try. The restaurant was crowded and had a lengthy wait as we didn't make reservations. Prepared to wait, the hostess offered us seats in the bar area right away. Service was prompt and we were never made to feel like we were sitting in the bar area. We started with the bread plate, the bread had a great toast to the top, bottom was toasted in the brightest olive oil and finished with a flaky sea salt. The balsamic reduction was perfect, the perfect amount of acid to cut the olive oil and just thick enough stick to the bread. I decided on the braised short rib with polenta and seasonal veggies. The short rib was so tender and had great depth of rich flavor, like it had been cooking all day. The polenta was creamy, salty and exactly what the short rib needed. The green beans were fresh and light. Overall i loved it, I couldn't get my husband to stop snacking off of my plate. My husband decided on the surf and turf. He said the steak was seasoned well, shrimp were massive and grilled well. It was served with pearl couscous, good flavor and green beans. Overall thoughts, it was good and he would probably order it again but might ask for some salt (he's an over salted though so...) Lastly we tried the crème brûlée. First the size, we could share this and not like cutesy share but share this. It was delicious. The iconic caramelized sugar and delicious custard. There was nothing left.
