The Saint is located on the Main street in St. Helena. We walked in, no reservations and were greeted sweetly. We sat down and ordered two flights, one of 'Lucious reds' and the other of 'bubbles'. The server was a one woman show, however, some locals seem to come in after us, and they were served their order before ours. I was disappointed because I was hoping to order more from the flight tasting but we got off to such a slow and un-prioritized start, unfortunately that wish fizzled with the last. We order nuts along with the flights. They were an assortment of cashew, almond, pistachio, macadamia & pecan. They were salted and paired well. This day, is not fair to judge the ambiance given the last minute New Year's Eve decor... so I will assume that normally this is a great romantic place with lots of partitioned seating. I had no food. Hoping to try one day.

I loved this location and the setting is excellent. We were there on a Saturday night and so they had lice music as well. Our Service was excellent as was the food and the drinks. I had the gnocchi and I believe I would say it is the best I have ever had. So light. We had the crab cake (yummy), the burrata plate (yum), a mixed salad with filet, fries, and a spectacular crème brûlée. We had a none alcohol sparking (excellent), a Manhattan, and a while flight with pours that we very large. All the food comes from The Market and affiliated business next door. Fabulous, please try.

The Saint is fairly small but cute. They have candles in the bathroom that they do sell in restaurant as well (I thought it was a unique touch). After sun down they had live music which was absolutely lovely. Our server and host were very kind and attentive as well. Unfortunately, I don't think the food was worth it. The chicken was very dry and I could not eat it. The veggies were good but nothing special. They accidentally brought over a peach salad instead of the chicken dish first, so they let us keep it. The peach salad was also underwhelming. My friend seemed to enjoy her chopped salad though. While the food wasn't great, we did have a good time here as the ambiance and service made up for it!

I was sitting outside and this beautiful young lady was watering the plants. After introductions she invited me to checkout the inside of The Saint WOW the interior was stunning. Heidi aka the owner invited us to their Friday night Festivities. We can't wait to join in on Wine Tasting fun !!

There is limited parking on the busy street but we lucked out! There are plenty of comfortable seating areas on couches all around. Perfect for a meet up stop for a glass. It's super cute inside. We walked into our reservations for lunch. It wasn't busy at all, just a couple at the bar. We ordered a champagne flight of 3 glasses which was a great choice to try a few. To order food, your server takes your order and places it from the restaurant next door. I ordered the burger and friend and it was all good! Overall, I would recommend to check out.

We got to enjoy dinner at a private table inside an 1890s bank vault. That alone was pretty cool! They had some live music that started around 7pm as well. The place isn't very big though so the musicians were about standing in the entrance. This place doesn't have their own kitchen they share a kitchen with the restaurant called Market next door so all the food comes from them. Not really a downside, the food was all still really warm and enjoyable. We started with the crab cake, it was great and actually all crab and not crab + fillers. The corn and asparagus relish it sits on was delightful. I got the filet and it was so yummy! Can't go wrong with this dish. Cooked well and had great flavor. The scallop potatoes were delicious! Very cheesy flavor:) My hubs got the salmon. The salmon was awesome! The salmon skin was crispy and that gave it so much wonderful texture! But that pomegranate sauce that came with it was visually off putting. It was bubble gum pink! Looks like salmon in pepto bismol guys.. besides that the dish still tasted great.

We went to The Saint last Saturday to see Kevin Hague; he was amazing! We always enjoy the ambiance here: dim lighting, cozy couches friendly staff and of course the bubbles! Great wine list. Sometimes we run into the owners, Heidi and Scott, which always makes our time more enjoyable. (Tip: Look for the vibrant blonde with the edgy haircut - that's Heidi and she's great). We highly recommend this friendly hidden gem for a start to your evening or a night cap

Classy establishment and knowledgeable staff. We were referred over here by another wine tasting room because we just wanted a glass of wine vs. a tasting. This is the place to go for that glass! Okay, warning... hidden gem alert!!! This place for the win. So, I found this spot on instagram of all places through another page I follow in the St Helena area- and can I say, we love what you guys are doing and offering, keep it up! Living in Napa split time, we sometimes venture up to St Helena and beyond lol. With that said, everyone knows, EVERYTHING, shuts down early and it becomes a sleepy little town at night. Well, this place is a game changer, as far as that's concerned. I've had my sights set on visiting for a few months. I finally had the opportunity to pop in. I was not disappointed. Think old brick building, with a the nostalgic stamped tin roof, chandeliers, and even an old bank vault that you can dine in- plush black couches, dim lighting, intimate, yet a total vibe, and live music. To further compliment this stellar ambience, wine, craft-cocktails, even a dinner menu, annnnd dessert! The night I visited, it was a quieter night, which was fine. We popped in for dessert and some dessert wine. We were sat promptly, the staff was wonderful and welcoming. They told us all about the great live music for the evening. We also met the owner. She was a wonderful gal, extremely personable, and she even helped us, herself. We were tasting dessert wines, to which I was searching for my calling that evening lol. Lo and behold, she pulled a secret squirrel stash French dessert wine out of her vault that was off menu, which I ordered- of course lol. We also ordered two of their most decadent chocolate desserts because it was just that kind of night and they were great. We really appreciated the attentiveness and the friendliness of the staff and owner. Also, from what I've seen on their Instagram page, this place gets a bit live and quite the crowd. We just happened to pop in on a quieter evening. They also have an exclusive social club that we learned about, which gathers monthly. This is a must visit hidden gem in St Helena. You will not be disappointed, especially if you're looking for a night life, but without the sloppy bar experience (downtown Napa after 9pm) lol. This place is trendy and upscale and gives you the nightlife vibe and so much more. So thank you, The Saint for waking up little St Helena!

The Saint is a super cool space to chill for an evening and drink, eat and listen to music. The decor reminds me of a cool NYC spot but it's Napa Valley chic all the way too. Though our visit here was short, it went downhill so fast as soon as we went through the door. The bartender looked at us and gave us a stank face immediately once we entered. We had a group of 7 and we all acknowledged that this did occur. After waiting for a prolonged period of time, we were finally helped. It did not look busy at the time and at times it looked like some employees were not doing anything. We were seated and then out of no where, a lady who works there, came up to us and our server and said we are not allowed to stay here and we are unable to serve you at this time due to reservations. From looking around, it looked like there was space. Why would you seat a party, give us menus, then tell us to pretty much piss off without any empathy or apology. The delivery and energy from all the staff I believe is unacceptable and is not how you handle a business. We were happy to take our business elsewhere. Good luck. read more

We spent our anniversary dinner here and it was perfect! The restaurant used to be an old bank. The safe inside the bank is now a private room to reserve for a special occasion. We had no idea how incredible this experience was when we made reservations but it did not disappoint. It is cozy, romantic and private space with chandelier and candelabras which makes the perfect ambiance for celebration. There was live music which we danced to in our private dance floor. Even if you don't reserve the room the vibe in the restaurant and bar area is so chic. This wine selection is perfect for menu specials and they also produce their own wine which I recommend. Also, both owners came in to personally thank us for celebrating our special day with them. We will always remember "The Saint " read more

We had such a lovely initial welcome with the woman greeting us and our dog. Unfortunately, after ordering a glass of wine and a cheese platter it went downhill from there. The wine came out promptly. Then we sat and waited 45 mins for our cheese platter. I had to ask the other server who had just started her shift about the cheese platter. Sadly we were not able to enjoy the cheese platter and had to ask for a box. But to add insult to an already not-so-great experience, we received the bill with a 20% service charge automatically added to the bill. Our initial sever did come out to apologize for our terrible experience and poured one more glass for us but it was hard to salvage the visit from there. read more

The interior is amazing. The decor is extremely detailed from the floor to the ceiling. I was able to walk in without a reservation and sit in the front section. Next time I will reserve a private room and doing a full tasting instead of a select tasting. I had the night flight and it was pretty flavorful in between our scheduled tastings. read more

This was a pleasant surprise. As locals we had been next door to the popular Market Restaurant which is very good but noisy. But, here it was very quite and nice which was great as we are seniors. We then found out that the limited menu is handled by the Market Restaurant. Our friends loved their hamburger. My wife and I enjoyed our fish entrees. Since this is also a fancy wine bar with lots of atmosphere we felt that that this was a special experience. We plan to come back for dinner. read more

Chic and great staff!! A fun place for 1st dates, girls night and date night! The interior is decorated elegant-sexy-goth; we really liked it. My fiancé brought me here after a stroll there St. Helena. The owners were great, attentive and fun. They have 3 patio tables to people watch, serve small plates and live music on select evenings. Nope The good: very good wine recommendation. The bad: We had to ask for more water several times because none of the servers were monitoring our glasses. I ordered a coke, I got a root beer. I ordered a burger "medium" thinking it would be a safe bet. It was delivered well done, only the grill it was cooked on wasn't hot enough so there was no sear. What I got was a grey, bland, oddly off tasting patty which fell apart in a greasy pile. My gf snuck into the bar with our credit cards and paid the bill to treat my sister and brother-in-law. 20 minutes later a server came out and tried to swipe my brother-in-laws card. We had to interrupt twice to stop the transaction. Very embarrassing. Lastly The bathroom was not well kept. No paper towels and there was excrement on the floor which someone had obviously stepped in. Super gross. read more

Hi all, We just got done wine tasting in St Helena and we stopped off at The Saint on the main thoroughfare going they Saint Helena for some Charcuterie plate, Hummas and a $60 bottle of wine. The service was below average and when the check came it was for $176.00 which included all the above plus a a $29.18 service charge plus a automated tip of over $20. Bottom line we never got the Hummus but we're still charged, the menu never stated a 20% service charge and we didn't input a additional tip for over $20. I do not recommend going this establishment and if you do, don't pay the bill until you carefully audit the check. read more

We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner for 70 people at The Saint. It exceeded our expectations in every possible way. We wanted a very casual event with heavy appetizers and a varied selection of wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. The entire experience from planning through the night of the event was amazing and went off smoothly. We helped select the menu, and the food was delicious and plentiful as were the beverages - including The Saint's own wine label. The setting was perfect with beautiful decor, sitting areas, and a stunning bar. I cannot begin to describe the attentiveness of the staff. They constantly refilled glasses, whisked away empty plates, and responded immediately to every request. We stopped into The Saint after our wine tastings with our big group of 10 (celebrating our parent's 50th Anniversary). They gave us the Lovely Lounge Table In the front by the window. We ordered Charcuterie and Hummus plates and 3 bottles (at least) of Rosé. The staff and owners were extremely friendly and professional. We didn't want to leave to get ready for our dinner reservation. We will be back! read more

Experience NAPA here. Although they are trying to be a trendy wine bar, they do have a selection of good local wines with good prices. I'm not gonna a drinker but my group I was in like this place more than other places we stopped by today. I also witnessed and amazing service so I'll go ahead and leave a 5 out of 4, a rare rating but i think it's well deserved l. read more

This wine bar is a real gem ... They stay open late, have live music and serve wine by the glass. It is perfectly located right on Main Street in the heart of St. Helena. I loved the ambiance as soon as I walked in; it's sophisticated without being stuffy or cold like some other wine bars. It has a relaxing and inviting atmosphere, with plush comfortable sitting. They have soft lighting so everyone looks wonderful too... the handsome knowledgeable man that assisted us was friendly and very attentive... didn't get his name but appreciated the wonderful Charcuterie plate he created for us. Recommend you check out The Vault; an awesome place to share giggles with your best buddies. I simply adore this place... I will definitely stop by the next time I'm in town. read more

Visited The Saint while camping in Calistoga and had to stop in once more after my initial visit. Friendly service which might be hard to come by in this area. I enjoyed a bottle or rose and a cheese board. My main compliments on The Saint is the friendliness of the staff and the amazing lounge area. Really beautiful. If I'm ever in the area again I'll definitely stop by again. read more

This place is amazing! My husband and I were new to wine tasting and this place welcomed us with open arms! We explored some items that were geared towards our interest and then gave us some options out of our comfort zone. We ordered the flights and turns out I highly enjoy whites while my husband loved the bubbly flight. The cheese board was delicious and satisfying while we flew through the flights. Overall, I loved the place. Good environment, comfy couches and amazing servers (Sam and Rob). read more

The Saint is elegant, edgy and sexy. There's nothing like it in the Napa Valley. They have a large selection of wines and wine flights - and Clay and Colin are wonderful hosts behind the bar. We stopped by after dinner (when most everything in St. Helena was closed) and loved the friendly, yet edgy vibe. read more

My boyfriend and I wondered into The Saint on a hot day last Saturday after wine tasting. We took a seat on one of the comfy couches and immediately decided we were in the perfect place to escape the heat and enjoy a nice cold glass of wine (or 5) lol. The atmosphere was amazing and the decor was modern and chic. The owners were extremely professional and you could tell they take great pride in there business. The wine selection was great and each glass was chilled perfectly. The Saint was absolutely one of the best wine bars I have ever been to and we will definitely be back!! 10 STARS!! read more

I finally checked on The Saint last night and now regret taking so long to stop in! Owners Scott & Heidi as well as all of their staff members were so welcoming and friendly; some of the best hospitality I've experienced in a long time! The live music they have every Fri & Sat night (!) coupled with the beautiful 1890s building provided a great atmosphere. My group appreciated the complimentary splashes and snacks offered (some leftover for the totally gratis industry night that brought me in). We weren't just mooches, however, and bought bottles of both Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs and Trimbach Pinot Blanc. ;-) The Saint is a fabulous, stylish option for an evening out (they also provide a robust menu from Market restaurant next door). Don't wait as long as I did! read more

Let me say that Saint is great the staff was awesome and took care of us very well. Unfortunately the Market who is next door and supplies the food is .... I can't say it on here!! We waited forever for them to give us food which you could tell the server from Saint was nervous about. Again Saint staff was great!!! Market messed up our food then when asked to re-cook bout burger it appeared the microwaved it and half the fries came back. The Market mgr seemed to not care and from what the server said this happens a lot! Go to Saint but don't order food cause Market don't care. I would recommend The Saint for drinks read more

Loved this restaurant!! My husband and I had dinner here for the first time. The hospitality was amazing! Right when we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by a very friendly gentleman. Not sure if he was the owner or manager but he was so genuine and we felt welcome. Our waitress was very friendly too and attentive. She made sure we were comfortable. Even asked if we liked the music! We were the only ones in the back dining room so that was cozy and romantic. The food was very good! I had the short ribs and my husband had the burger. We were told they typically have live music so looking forward to returning when things open up more! It was great to dine out after all these months sheltering in place and to eat at a great restaurant made it extra special! I highly recommend this place! read more

This wine bar is beautiful and I loved how they utilized the bank to its benefit - such a cool private space in the vault. This is a long overdue review. We stumbled upon the wine shop while walking around the valley after a morning hike. The interior design was beautiful and posh. We stopped by the wine shop and grabbed a glass of wine. Definitely a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. read more

Occupied in the original Bank of Saint Helena, The Saint features historical marvels such as a historic Bank Vault from 1905. The beautifully detailed Vault Door has been restored to its former glory and is now the entrance to a cozy, candlelit, private dining table for 2-4 people. The Saint is proud of historical roots. My passion for wine began as a young girl growing up in California. My parents first introduced me to zinfandel, then other varietals, and I quickly realized that wine was an essential part of each family meal and celebration. Over the years, I've developed a love of Cab, Merlot, and other rich, bold red varietals. Most importantly, I have enjoyed sharing wine with friends as I've traveled around the globe, exploring every nook and corner in the world of wine.

We were brought waters and menus immediately, they also brought water for our dog without us requesting it. I'd heard that the buttermilk fried chicken was a specialty here, so we decided to share that. We also ordered oysters, peel and eat shrimp, and a green salad to balance out the heaviness of the fried chicken. The oysters and the shrimp were brought out first. Both of these were great, refreshing appetizers to have on a warm day. The fried chicken and the salad were brought out shortly after. There is a sauce to go with the chicken, that is recommended on the menu but you have to order it separately. I do recommend getting that sauce as it was delicious. The exterior of the chicken was perfectly crisp and it gave way to a juicy interior. We both really enjoyed it. The green salad felt necessary after the decadence of the chicken. Service was friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend visiting while you're in Napa.

However, I found the dish somewhat inconsistent. Some bites were perfectly balanced, while others were overwhelmed by the miso, making the flavor profile a bit uneven throughout the salad. The fries were absolutely incredible and tasted homemade. They had a perfectly crispy exterior with a pillowy soft interior, creating the ideal texture in every bite. Hidden Gem with Exceptional Drinks and Food! I was blown away by this place! The food alone would make it worth the visit -- the burger was absolutely incredible -- juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. But what really sets this bar apart is the quality of their drinks and the attention to detail that goes into every ingredient. You can tell they're using top-shelf, high-end products in everything they serve. A huge shoutout to Skyler, the bar manager, who made our experience even better. Skyler's knowledge of mixology is seriously impressive -- every drink recommendation was on point, and the passion for the craft really came through. It's rare to find someone who combines skill, personality, and genuine hospitality so effortlessly. Poorest service in town by a visibly intoxicated "server" who spilled our $250 bottle of Cab Franc wine while trying to pour on top of our already served Cab Sav glasses. They initially wanted to seat us outside because they had a "full house ". I counted tops 4 other groups from 7-10 pm and very empty for a Saturday night. 6 staff members hanging out intermittently in a back room drinking and not tending to patrons. None took responsibility for our VISIBLY very intoxicated "server" who was literally bumping into tables and chairs. Felt bad for the live folk music singer and the reason we chose this disaster, who played for the 10 or so of us present. Service charges are automatically included in your tab so I guess that's why they don't care. Too beautiful of a town and too many amazing places to go to waste your time, energy and money here.
