I treat myself to a medium flavored coffee at least every two weeks. Their coffee costs less than $2.00 and has the right amount of jolt you need for that long morning commute.

You know, the kind you get at most convenience stores like TwiceDaily or Mapco. I've found that both have decent coffee at great prices. I also was looking for a quick biscuit of some sort and knew TW had ready-to-go sammies at other locations. However, stepping inside the store I quickly realized that the right 2/3 of the store was, indeed, a TwiceDaily while the left 1/3 was a White Bison coffee shop. So, in fact this review will only mention TwiceDaily in passing since I spent the bulk of my time at White Bison. For the record, TwiceDaily (4 stars) was neat, clean, well-stocked, and the staff was polite and helpful to customers who needed extra assistance with their purchases (like getting ice outside the store or help with the gas pumps.) Alas....on to my primary purchases. I spied with my little eye a "featured" breakfast item: Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit. Being a lover of virtually all things hot and especially Nashville Hot Chicken, it took me no time at all - after waiting in line for about 4 minutes while the lone customer ahead of me ordered and was served. (I heard her ask as we both waited, "Are you on your own this morning?" to which the server/cashier/barista replied, "I might as well be." Ah...and there's the rub...there were 2 more individuals in the kitchen (in clear view of us waiting in line)...but only one of whom seemed to be working. It was only after several more customers lined up that the 2nd person came out to help. I asked about a chalkboard "Colombian *** special (which I erroneously assumed listed Single Source Coffee....as indicated by the printing.) Unfortunately, they did not have that top-listed item on hand. (Note: I lived in Colombia for a number of years and love single source coffees from various fincas....when I can get them. #notToday) UH....then why list it? I ended up asking for a half-decaf regular which the barista made fresh...well, at least the decaf part. He politely told me, "Here's your decaf....you can fill it the rest of the way from the thermos-pump on the self-serve counter." Huh? I did....and after tasting this less-than dishwater worthy pseudo coffee...threw it away. (less than 1 star) The biscuit was another thing altogether. Hot (temperature-wise), tender, Juicy, fairly thick chicken breast on a decent biscuit. Not really HOT - spice wise - by Nashville standards, but a decent bite. I shall not return, WhiteBison....there's a Starbucks right next door to you I'm more likely to visit. Over all - a bad choice or misstep (?) on my part. But...that's how reviews are made.

DISRESPECTFUL, CONFUSING, AND THREATENING EXPERIENCE !?! I…read moremade the mistake of stopping at store 6179 for the first and last time Monday. I saw the Shell logo and chose the store so I could use my two $10 prepaid Shell gas cards to get gas and a snack. While standing in line, two men behind the Bison Coffee counter called me across the store to check out "faster". I told them I also needed gas and had two Shell gift cards for payment - they said, "No problem". I told them I wanted to pay for my items and get the remaining balance in gas. I swiped the first card and then the second as directed by the man. I was told my snack purchase was $5.00 even. I said, "Great, I'll use the remaining $15 for gas on pump 5. The cashier then told me I still owed $5 - even after swiping both cards totaling $20. He seemed confused or unable to process it.We went back and forth for several minutes as I was clearly being overcharged. I eventually tried using my credit card just to leave - and it was "declined". I knew that wasn't right. I went to my car, grabbed a second credit card, and IT was "declined" too. I then knew the machine wasn't working properly so I returned to the original main register. My card worked immediately, proving the other machine was malfunctioning. While I was trying to calmly explain the issue again, the Bison man came over to apologize, and then stepped away as a white middle aged woman told him, "I've got this." However, she didn't listen at all - she talked over me. Then another woman, who wasn't involved at all, jumped in and told me to move to yet another register so she could "explain" what I had done wrong. I told her I needed to know where my $20 went and she responded rudely. After approximately 20 minutes, I said this was f***ing ridiculous and she told me to stop cursing and that this was being recorded! Then she threatened to call the police and told me to leave the store. I was stunned. I had done nothing but try to pay with supposedly legitimate Shell cards. I am a 58 year old woman who posed zero threat, yet I was humiliated, talked down to, dismissed and threatened. I left shaken and angry, without gas, having no idea where my $20 went, treated like a criminal for attempting to patronize this establishment. I would give them a negative rating if possible. Twice Daily NEVER AGAIN.

I am usually a classic cold brew guy, but love a good nitro cold brew when available. Sadly this day, the nitro coffee was not available, so I went with classic cold brew with a bit of almond milk. The coffee was a bit bitter for me and while the almond milk helped, it was not enough to save it for me. Service here was a tad disappointing as well. The staff was okay, not friendly, but also not un-friendly. Overall, not the best representation of the brand. Solid 2.5 for me, but since we can't do half stars...they get the third star.
