3.5 Definitely a…read more"have to try" spot in Nashville. The vibe was amazing and it's perfect for a cute little date night. We started with the meatball skewers, which were great, and the sauce that came with them was perfection. I also have to mention the Cabernet, one of the best glasses of wine I've had in a while. The one drawback was the dinner menu felt a little limited on options. That said, what we got delivered. My fiancé had the strip steak, which was really good, and I got the pork, which was also amazing. Overall a really good experience. The 3.5 is mainly because we spent $250 and still left a little hungry. Other than that, a really cool place worth checking out.

Even before my current trip to Nashville, I'd been a fan of Husk. I forget if it was independent…read moreresearch, Breanne in my ear about her trip to the Charleston location, or it just showing up on my feeds that put it on my radar first, but I've been telling myself this is a must-visit restaurant. I even had a chance to go before, when Toby and I had made plans in 2020 to come to the city. Obviously, we know what happened then. I think it was worth the wait. I loved their whole take on Southern cuisine. From the confit wings in Alabama white sauce to their Bucksnort trout, to their Heritage pork--everything tasted delightful. Admittedly, the bright green sauce and saturated Carolina gold rice looked a little funny to me. But once I had my first bite I thought it was heavenly. The server was impeccable. He was courteous, quick, and helpful. I had questions about the menu and concerns about if the arrangement of dishes ordered were too much. But he made the whole meal better with his suggestions and assurances. Even the other incidental staff were well-trained, filling the water and always assisting with the experience. The ambiance was picture-perfect. Obviously the place is permeated with charm and class in equal measure. It felt like we were eating in our well-off friend's home and had put together a spread of time-tested country favorites but with a twist. From the decor to the herb and vegetable garden outside, I felt super welcomed and comfortable. Yes, Husk was a success. I'm a changed man because of the experience. Sufficed to say I will be recommending it to even more people than before and will be waiting like a puppy at the window back home for the next opportunity to come back to Nashville and/or the other locations for my next meal.

I had 1/2 dozen raw oysters to start. My server helped me select which one we thought I would like best and they were amazing with the migionette. So fresh & cold & delicious. My son got the crispy brussels sprouts for his starter and devoured them. They were delicious with the best balance of flavors & textures. Also a nice generous portion. Wedge salad was so tasty. Entrees were scallops with the most delicious succotash, and rabbit ragu which was absolutely delicious. I can't say enough good things about our food and experience. Can't wait to come back! Oh and can't forget dessert.... The peaches & cream bread pudding 10/10!

They were packed when we arrived for our reservation and we were sat right away! The waitress was so kind and went over the menu and how they do there meats after knowing this was our first time at there. They have a butcher on site, their seafood is brought in daily and house made pasta. She said they even have a pastry chef. But we didn't make it to dessert this time. We ordered the cornbread appetizer that comes with hot honey and whipped butter. It's served in a little dish like a cake. It was tender with whole corn on the inside. We didn't realize they also bring complementary gluten-free cheese, puffs turnovers, and mini biscuits . Those were out of this world!! The cheese puffs pull apart and have white cheddar inside! The biscuits were perfect!! Our main course was the club carbonara pasta( house made pasta with chicken and bacon) and the steak frites (with chimichurri sauce). I got the Sauvignon Blanc it was fruity and fresh! The place was upscale and seemed to be a lot of larger parties. We will definitely be back.

I ended up here for breakfast again in much the same way I did last time, another diner a few minutes away from them was closed again (due to a move this time) so I headed over with my heart set on biscuits and gravy. Oddly enough, I did not see biscuits and gravy on the breakfast menu. I looked, and looked again, but saw no gravy--just biscuit sandwiches. I asked my server (who was super friendly) if they had it and she said they did, in both small and large orders, explaining that a large order consisted of two biscuits compared to the one biscuit you get with a small order. I opted for that, and added two over easy eggs, bacon, and home fries a la carte. My biscuit platter came out first, really quickly. It was monstrously huge and a bit more than I needed to be honest. But it was really, really good. Fluffy, buttery biscuits and a creamy sausage gravy. My eggs and other items showed up about 5 minutes later. The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy, the bacon tasted like thick cut slab bacon, and the home fries were...okay. My total ticket, pre-tip, was a bit over $20 (!) which shocked me a bit. Based on other diners throughout the area, I'd say that's maybe 20% higher even accounting for inflation and was likely due to my a la carte approach, but like I said I did not see a meal or dish with biscuits and gravy as an option. I'll be back, though!
