We walked in on a Friday night for date night around 8:30 and were greeted by friendly staff and prompt service. The scenery is beautiful you almost feel as though you are at a beach club and we will definitely be back to explore how the Sand bar feels earlier in the day. Regarding food we ordered the buffalo chicken sliders and the calamari to start. The buffalo sliders HIT! Would definitely order again. Chicken was crispy and the spice wasn't overpowering. For our main dish we split the steak sandwhich and it was good but I might not order it again. Regarding entertainment there was a band present however, it wasn't my taste or speed of music and I didn't feel that it was universal as it could be. For a Friday night and it being showcased on instagram would've appreciated a more upbeat vibe. Will be coming back for more buffalo sliders and the views! read more

I had gone to the Sandbar to visit a friend who was hosting an art show there, and I spoke with the manager Christina. She's great! She told me I could shoot a video for my social media portfolio there! I went there a week later with my friends and ordered some food, it was good. I'm not a food snob, so food tastes like food to me lol. It was good! Christina was there and she's so nice! Also turns out she's friends with someone I used to work with! I will tell her that next time I see her. The place is massive and very pretty, they even have a stage that looks like you can do shows there. I heard they're under new management, so they must be trying to get things all figured out! When we got there, a man asked if we had been seen yet by a waiter. So the management are on top of it. I saw someone complaining about valet, I believe it's optional because I've parked there many times when better man distillery has an event and no one has asked me to give them my car. They're also doing drag shows on Sunday, so I'm excited to check that out! read more

Beautiful spot right on the water. Saw The Dance Mechanics. Great band and dance floor is partial in the sand pretty cool. Drinks were great and we had the Lobster Rolls (Very Good) and Chicken Sandwich (Also very Good). Apps we had Fried Calamari done perfectly and the Buffalo wings exact right temperature and crispy. Great night would highly recommend getting a group of friends together and seeing a band there. Great service very friendly and welcoming. read more

My family went there for a quick bite of food, and the waiter kept making mistakes to the point they brought my wife the wrong meal, and then never replaced it. Want to the sand bar today to enjoy some live music. The band was great, the atmosphere was nice but the place was a rip-off. Six of us were there for sandwiches and a couple of drinks. Two of us were driving, the drivers ordered soda. When asking for a refill, I asked if refills were free and were told yes. When the bill came we saw that that was not the case and yes indeed we were charged about $16 for our "free " refills and three dollars for a cup of ice. We dropped over $250 at your restaurant on a Sunday evening. We were very disappointed to be upcharged like we were. As you know there are many places to watch live music on Long Island but with your procedures we will not be back anytime soon read more

Wanted to take family out for a nice dinner and to hear a friends band. We made dinner reservations and arrived at the Sandbar. Location is great and the weather was perfect. That's about the only positives. We had requested an outdoor table and were squeezed into a corner spot. We were given drink and finger food menus. Ordered drinks and when they arrived we asked our server for a dinner menu. We were told that if we wanted dinner it would be a two hour wait. Skipped dinner and ordered appetizers instead. Finished our drinks and waited for our appetizers. After an hour with no service found our server behind the bar mixing drinks. We were told our appetizers were just going in and it would be about an hour. Found the hostess who seated us and canceled our order. She did apologize and comped us for our drinks. From the menu posted on line and the price of the food and drinks we expected a much more pleasant experience. They obviously are not staffed or equipped to handle a dinner service. We gave up and went to Texas Roadhouse. Very disappointed. read more

Absolutely horrible service! Terrible management! We went today for brunch bingo. Our server was not informed on the deal. When the owner came out to explain the offer all was good until our bill came. It was a totally different story. Such poor management and disrespectful manager. I was called a Karen! She then told my daughter that she thought that was my name. Ugh! $25 for endless mimosas only if you buy a breakfast meal $16-$19. And $5 for Bingo. That's a $55 brunch. No problem! I asked to have mine And my daughter and her friends bill to be separate that would be three of us. The server said no she cannot separate the bill. This was at the beginning of the seating. I went and spoke to the owner and she said of course I can. When she came out, we asked her about the mimosas because we had gotten three pineapple mimosas which we were told they were included. When we got the final bill, they were not included. There was an extra $36 charge on top of everything else. I went inside to ask to have that removed because the owner came out and explained that we had to purchase a meal and the $25 endless mimosa deal. No problem but the bill was a problem. Stephanie, the manager was quite rude and said I am not taking that off of the bill. I got quite upset and my daughter said mom you need to leave. I will handle this. That is when the manager Stephanie called me a Karen. Honestly, I don't even know what a Karen is! I guess it's somebody who complained so you can't make them happy. Totally not me. Horrible service. Another server came over and took away my chair from the table because "it didn't belong at that table", meanwhile it's the chair our server brought over for us. I was then giving the tiniest stool which literally made my head slightly above the table I thought it was a joke. when i said how am i suppose to eat like this, she made it seem like it was just something out of her control. 3 of us ordered food, they forgot one of our meals. read more

I was there for about 3 hours and it took forever to get anything. There were 5 of us and it took at least 30 minutes for drinks and the same for food. Went there recently would think it was a good time. Outside location, good live music(only reason I gave a star and not a 0) but right away was turned off by I guess an employee who supposedly got fired there earlier in the day but for some weird reason when we were asking questions started answering like he was someone important. Very dirt bagish, rude and honestly knew why he was fired, should've walked out then but still gave it a shot. the wait staff was nice but drinks were over priced, watered down, very small and the food got me sick later that night. Terrible. Another place that probably won't stay in business at this location. Overpriced for the quality of the food and it honestly didn't taste good. Happened to be meeting family there who arrived first. There was a band, fam was told there's a cover beginning at 630pm. Fam gets the table, they don't pay a cover, the rest of us show up 5 mins before 630 and get told to pay a cover and that it began at 6pm. Told them we knew it started at 630 we have family here. The woman manager and a woman security start being extremely rude and nasty. I don't mind a cover somewhere I enjoy but it was the lying and going back and forth that was unprofessional and uncalled for. Paid cover finally sat down and it was downhill from there. read more

One & done! Would never go back again. Went to see a band. To start, mandatory valet parking. Although there was no charge for valet, you have to tip the valet driver, not to mention, they were parking the cars like sardines, barely room to get in & out of the car o either side. Then to get in a cover charge. I can see charging something because there was a band, but, $10 a head? Why not $5? Get into the place, go outside and grabbed a table, only to be told we couldn't sit there because we weren't ordering food. But we were having drinks! Not good enough, had to order food as well. Was told we could sit on the benches against the wall. Went inside to the bar to get drinks. Ordered 3 drinks, were charged for 5, was charged for the drinks the people right before us ordered. Meanwhile, I saw him give the bartender his card & take it back from her before she took my order. So, did they collet for those drinks twice? I didn't notice the charge for the other drinks till I got home & actually looked at the receipt. I contacted them through FB messenger the next day. What a horrible exchange it was, back & forth, supposedly the husband & wife. It was an awkward, not very cordial exchange. I eventually got credited for the extra drinks after much back & forth. I am sorry to say this but the manager Stephanie at the Sandbar is very unprofeesional. There was an issue with our bill because the waitress did not split it the right way and the manager told my mother that she was acting like a Karen!! And then when I confronted her she told me she thought that was her name. VERY UNPROFFESUONAL!! our food was not cooked and they dispusted everything we asked when we first arrived. The drag show was amazing but we will not be going there ever again to spend 800$. Very upsetting read more

This was my 2nd visit to The Sandbar in Patchogue. The first was right after they opened and I wasn't thrilled at all with my dinner which was Seafood Risotto. 3 small shrimp, 3 microscopic rubbery mussels and clams out of the shell buried under a pike of risotto. Decided to give lunch a try today. I was happy to see they added baked clams to the appetizers but unfortunately they were overcooked and dry. However the Brussels sprout appetizer was delicious. I ordered the arugula salad with chicken for my main course. A huge pile of arugula, a decent potion of grilled chicken but very few walnuts and strawberries mixed in. I had to ask for dressing because it was clear that none was on the salad. The waitress brought me a shot glass size half filled with dressing to add to my salad. It just wasn't enough. Pineapple sorbet served in a frozen half of a pineapple was the best part of my meal. The waitress was great. Friendly and all requests taken care of promptly. But basically another fail. I live very close and really want to like this place so I'll give it one more shot. I hope it gets better. read more

We were not greeted by a hostess. we sat at our table for 20 minutes without even seeing a wait staff member. other tables were just going inside to order drinks themselves. we placed one drink order and the waiter did come back once however never came back. we could see the whole staff standing by the bar tslking and no one was being served. I watched people leave without ordering anything. I have been there before under the prior owners and it was great. I would like to give some grace to new staff but not only was the service non existent we also got some pretty bad attitude from one of the female servers who just walked around looking at the table and when I asked for my check was annoyed. a couple a few feet from us also had to get their own drinks, was never even brought a menu and no one asked if they needed anything.
