    Roasted Steamed Red Potatoes

I have previously had a good experience here, but my last one was simply not good. The grilled shrimp were dry and rubbery, and not deveined. I ordered steamed red potatoes that looked like the dirt wasn't even cleaned off of them.

Personally wouldn't go here again. The seafood was chewy and honestly unappetizing I was so excited to have my first libster roll of the summer and was so disappointed. The service was ok. The ambience was a little disappointing just because I was straight under a ac vent and I got sick from it. The cookie skillet was good though but I wish it came with more ice cream. Overall personally I think it was overpriced n quality was bad. Also I've never seen such small clams and the lobster bisque did not taste fresh

Came by for brunch with my family and based on the reviews, it was supposed to be a solid spot. However, some dishes we tried were hit or miss. A lot of it was salty and not memorable. I was so disappointed given the reviews and the promising menu. The lobster dishes were underwhelming, especially the lobster Mac and cheese. The flavor was just a regular baked Mac but with pieces of lobster claw in it. We came during a cooler time of year, Feb. 2025 so that explains why the restaurant was quite empty. Service was good and our waitress was very friendly. However, for the pricing, there were not enough unique items to try. I noticed on the menu there was sushi options. But we didn't order. The lobster bisque was a tad salty. And the fried seafood platter my friend and I shared was good at first bite. However, everything started to taste very one note. I would pass on this place unless it's the right season.

We're seafood fans, so we booked a table for two on our special night. The night started off with the waitress slipping away our bread, but she was sweet, she got us a fresh, warm one with an apology. The seafood was average, a little disappointed on the cocktail shrimp. We were pretty happy with the sashimi which was a little more expensive than the market. We'd recommend not to order steak here, just seafood as needed. Safe to go on the clams, pastas will break your bank.

My family and I grabbed dinner at the Port Jeff Lobster House on a busy Saturday evening, and overall, it was a nice experience. The restaurant is located directly downtown in PJ, and there is a parking lot that leads right up to the building. We made a reservation for 6PM, and were seated immediately when we walked in. One thing I quickly noticed was that our table wasn't given waters right away (or at all), and the drink service for beer and wine started off a bit slow. But the rest of the service was quick. They came over with complimentary bread for the table, and we loved this for us! For appetizers, we ordered the calamari and mussels in white wine sauce. The mussels portion was huge! Both were excellent. The calamari was perfectly crisp, and the mussels were fresh and the sauce was super flavorful. For dinner, I went with the crab legs and a side salad. The crab legs was exactly what I had been craving. My dad ordered the shrimp scampi, and my sister chose the Linguini with White Clam Sauce. I gave both of their meals a try, and while I absolutely loved the shrimp scampi (perfect balance with the garlic and shrimp), I wasn't blown away by the clam sauce on the linguini. My nephew had their penne ala vodka, which I would absolutely order for my entree next time, and my niece had the mac and cheese (as a kid at heart, this was tasty). I look forward to returning to the PJ Lobster House for the calamari and crab legs! I'd love to give their lobster rolls a try, too!

    Hot lobster roll

Unfortunately super disappointing. Great service, beautiful place, but the food is so bad we found it funny. The lobster bisque came in what i would describe as cambells soup before you heat it up. You could turn it upside down like a blizzard. Super chewy coconut shrimp and a lobster roll which only toasted like burnt bread because for some reason grill marks were needed around the entire thing. Gotta do better when there's so much good food around the area. The one star is only for the service

Good food service isn't always consistent but we enjoy the seafood its always fresh and love their chillean sea bass I wish they would give different side options

Service: Nice. The wait staff was nice! It was a Friday afternoon for lunch and there weren't too many people in the restaurant, so we got all the attention that we needed. I do have to say there was a mistake when the server brought food to our table that we didnt order. Food: Clam Strips - Well seasoned. There was plenty of this to share between two people! It was light and crispy! Fish & Chips - Good Portion. I liked that you were able to choose the portion size of the fish. I thought it was odd that that it was served with waffle fries instead of a traditional fry. Bay Scallops in Scampi - Buttery. The small bay scallops were nice and buttery. On to my next adventure....

We got the combo sandwich and soup with lobster roll crabcakes and bisque soup. Also had clams with white garlic sauce. Love the bread that they served with our meal and our waitress was amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and upbeat, our booth was elevated and roomy. Definitely recommend. Gastro Maestro approved!!

I came here for the sushi, which was good with generous portions. The sushi chef, Kenny, is a nice guy and works fast. If you remember Benten in Mt Sinai you will recognize some of the roll creations on the menu. I see some room for improvement for the servers though. They were very friendly, but my party, as well as another couple sitting at the sushi bar, had to walk over to the end of the sushi bar to grab chopsticks, soy sauce, napkins etc. ourselves because the server only took drink orders, brought them, and then wasn't seen again until I was trying to get the check, which also took quite a while for a place that's not packed. The hot sake I ordered came in a chilled jar, so only the first sip was (luke) warm and the rest was cold. I'd come back for the sushi.

Food was ok. More mass produced type of feeling. Pasta was a bit over cooked - linguine and clam and linguine with shrimp and scallops. The scallops were bay size so small. A little odd in the cheese sauce. The mussels in wine and garlic really was bland. Could have used some parsley and maybe some shallots. Oddly, the sauce was very sweet. The shrimp cocktail was - shrimp was a little overcooked. Snow crab appetizer was good. Was expecting it to be salty but it was tasty. The butter sauce on all of them was just clarified butter. Could have used some lemon but you could do yourself. Service was efficient.

Fresh yummy seafood ! I had the soup & sandwich combo for $40 which is a great deal for a New England clam chowder and a hot lobster roll. The creme brûlée was excellent as well.

Enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch here! Had a cup of the lobster bisque to start and it had decent sized pieces of lobster in it, and very flavorful! Ordered the cold lobster roll which came with fries and slaw as well. It was stuffed with so much lobster salad, and the bread was toasted yet so soft... it was extremely enjoyable, so much so that I cannot stop thinking about it! The fries and slaw were good too. It was a lot of food and we left stuffed. Service was great too. We came on a Friday around 1:30 and it was quiet, so everything came out really quick.

What an amazing place, they made our night perfect! The service was impeccable, the bus boy so attentive my husband gave him a $5 tip at the end of dinner. To start, you are served some toasted buttery like pieces of bread with hummus. I do not like hummus but my husband said it was the best he's ever had! They did bring me plain bread with homemade butter which was delicious! I chose the chicken spring rolls that came with a mango type sipping sauce as my appetizer. Outstanding, I can't say enough about how delicious the spring rolls are. Filled to the brim with a filling loaded with chicken! I was so tempted to order another serving but I wanted to save room for dinner. I absolutely will next time! Unlike many restaurants, at Fifth Season,, you can choose other side dishes if you're not happy with what your dish is served with as noted on the menu! I wanted the chicken but chose the coconut rice and organic carrots as my sides instead and I have to say, its a MUST for you to try as well. The flavor of each is so perfect, the rice is like a risotto consistency but hard to explain. Just trust me on this, over the top delicious! The chicken was very tasty and flavorful, just needed a little more sauce (that's my liking though! I love lots of extra sauce on my food), but I highly recommend trying this dish! We did not order dessert, my family wanted to get some ice cream in town but I will try dessert next time. The Fifth Season is now in the top five favorite restaurants for me! Unfortunately, I'll have to wait for a weekend to dine there again as I wouldn't make it home in time for during the week but I plan on returning very soon! I haven't been here in a very long time so I'm excited to see how the restaurant has stayed in business over the years. We are shown to our table upstairs. The bar area on a Friday night looks fun and active. There's great views of Port Jefferson harbor so the restaurant ambiance is nice. We're seated and are given restaurant week menus as well as the wine/cocktail list. Listen, It's Friday nite and I don't want a wine cooler! Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. The cheesecake I ordered, it was also just a standard dessert. I didn't finish the fish or my dessert. Review is over, Fifth Season Restaurant? See you in another 5 years.
