Must stop for sandwiched when visiting the South Bay. Awesome Dutch Crunch rolls. You got to try them. Ordered a Phil Hellmuth this visit. Scrumptious. Sandwiches named for local places or personalities. Staff was friendly and efficient. Definitely give this place a try.

Popped in on a whim and had the best lunch thanks to it. The employees are all very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Service is quick. Plenty of indoor seating in the clean shop. Two very clean single-stall restrooms are available. Good amount of parking in a shared lot. The noise level seems to stay pretty mild. No worries on sandwich options - they have 36, or you can build your own. Though it's a little much to read through, just pick a random number! My companion and I chose this tactic and were incredibly pleased with the outcome. The sandwiches (we ordered The Tap Tempo Reuben and The Mona Lisa) both arrived hot and packed with fillings. Everything was so flavorful. The Mona Lisa is a definite must-try. The soda from the fountain machine is a little wanting, but they also offer bottled drinks. Bagged chips are available as well. Prices are definitely higher than I normally want to spend on a sandwich, but I feel like this place deserves an exception. If you like a good sandwich, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. If I didn't live 6+ hours away, I just might be a regular.

We came for a late lunch and picked up a couple sandwiches for my family. Everything was good and tasted fresh. Food 4/5: We got the Phil Helmuth, tuna on marble rye , Ray's Built Tough Veggie and for me I got the Shark Tank. The sandwiches are a bit pricey for the size but they were filling enough for a light lunch. We love the bread selections and our favorites would be the Sweet French and Marble Rye. Service 4/5: The staff is nice enough but when we were giving our order, the lady making our sandwiches kept interrupting the guy taking our order by asking him what cheese/bread did we want, she kept talking over him which caused him to ask us more than a few times to confirm what we wanted because he couldn't hear us over her. I felt bad for him, coworkers like that drive me crazy! Ambiance 3/5: It looked clean enough. There are a few tables to sit around that are lined up along the wall with people waiting for their order. It's not exactly a comfortable seating arrangement. The shop doesn't look inviting enough to make me want to stay. The vibes seem off in here and I'd rather take it to go.

Pictures speak for themselves !!! Our treat after swim class on Saturday :) he usually doesn't eat raw veggies, mustard etc but in this sandwich it all goes in the tummy!!

Service was fast, they did get an afternoon rush. Dutch crunch was hard, the sandwich were good but nothing special. I wish they had outdoor seating, inside was dark but cool temperature. They had jerseys frame all over the walls. It gave the vibe of a sports bar.

Very rude front desk staff. I was in the shopping center and needed to use the ladies room was refused the bathroom. Sandwhich spot was very dark I couldn't read the menu if I wanted to order anyways. Will not be back. Do better.

3.5 stars. Not the best or freshest sandwich but perhaps I have to try a few others on their menu. Personally I much prefer Mr. Pickles.

I ordered the #37 and it did not disappoint at all. My daughter ordered the #36 and loved hers as well. Would definitely order again. Great sandwiches, hit the spot!

My sandwich was lacking meat a little light in my opinion. I really wanted to like this place and waited some time to finally try it . The sandwich had a good flavor with the sauce . But the meats were not existent. I won't be coming back . Placed my order online. So I had no interaction with the staff.

I've had The Sandwich Spot before, but the quality has gone a bit down. Service 5/5: No complaints here. It looked like they were training some new people, but they took our order right away, we didn't have to wait long. Food: 3/5 Hmmm, something has definitely changed. We came in for lunch and ordered two sandwiches. Dutch crunch was slightly stale and the crab in the other sandwich was bland. Honestly, I could have gone for a sandwich at Safeway instead, which is really weird because we've had Sandwich spot a couple months ago and it was great. It's a hit or miss for me now!

Possibly one of the best banh mi I've ever had! My family frequents Little Saigon in Orange County…read moreoften so I like to think we know what's a good banh mi. Heard rave reviews so we had to stop by when in San Jose! Came on a weekday afternoon and boy there was a line but we were determined. It moved quickly so it was about 5 mins to order and another 20 mins for our order. There was a lot of people waiting out front (pickup is by the pickup window), which can be confusing and crowded. It was all worth it! We all got the banh mi dac biet (cold cut) and I split a large with my sister, which was super filling and nicely priced! Firstly I was a big fan of the baguette bread, I like the texture and how it's crunchy. The cold cuts were thickly cut and they were generous with the amount. It was so thick I couldn't open my mouth wide enough to bite it all at once lol. There was also a good amount of veggies (do chua, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeños) and I thought the amount of pate was perfect as well! All in all, super delicious, would recommend and I would definitely go out of my way to come back here if I get the chance!

You must get it with the garlic bread and veggies on the side, that's the only way to do it! Its also buy 4 large get the 5th free, so everytime I come here I always come home with 5 banh mi's LOL. I also love how they sell their pate in big containers, so you can use it for other dishes if you cook a lot at home!
