I've been following The Saucy Chef on Instagram for a bit. She posts her menu on Instagram and you call your order in. It can take a few tries to get through her phone lines. The Menu is straightforward and no substitutions allowed. Totally understandable as I believe she works solo. However, this limits some of my choices as many of the entrees are carb heavy. The pick-up was a bit confusing as I didn't realize you call and the food is brought to you. No big deal there. It is a small parking area so when you pull in, make sure you reverse in so you can drive out more easily. Portions are generous. We would order again. I'd like to try the tacos (or the fillings in my case). Everything we got was plated well and had great flavor. Definitely check out The Saucy Chef on Instagram and get your orders in.

This is just a take out restaurant so no full service involved! The menu was a lot to choose from but I chose the Mac n cheese and chicken and also chicken jerk pasta. Both were amazing and the pick up was pretty seamless and easy. We traveled in from Syracuse and there was no way of making any substitutes or speaking with anyone or going into the restaurant itself but we picked up our food and returned promptly to eat it at home. It was seasoned nicely and I have no complaints. For the generous price they provided generous portions. I would definitely return.

This was our first time getting food from The Saucey Chef, which is basically just a door on the side of a building that food comes out of. You call in and then go pick it up. I wasn't really sure how it all worked so I will tell you how it happened for me. I called the phone number when the lines opened (the number, menu, and time are posted on the instagram and FB pages) and placed my order and then paid through Venmo. At 5:30, our designated time, I pulled into a little parking lot outside the door. (It's on the Atlantic side of the building). At this point, I actually called the number again to ask if I needed to let them know I was there. The phone went straight to a message informing people that all the food was sold out... so... call early, y'all. A lady came up to the windo and asked for my name and to see my Venmo confirmation. She told me that it would be a few minutes and kinda made it sound like maybe she was running late. I got really antsy and felt like I was waiting forever... it was like, 10 minutes. I took the food home while being tortured by the smell in the car, which was sooooo good. Unpacked it, took a couple of pictures of it. Ate it. It was AWESOME. I'm sad that so many of the dishes have shrimp in them because one of the rules is no substitutions.

We ordered from The Saucey Chef again the other night. Wow! Another amazing meal! Fresh, hot food delivered to your car. They now have online ordering which greatly simplifies the ordering experience. You get huge portions, well worth the price. I still highly recommend going there, they will not disappoint!

The Saucey Chef is FIRE all around. The food is top tier. Saucey doesn't miss a beat from the main parts of the meal all the way down to the sauces and the fact that it is HOT when you pick it up. The portions are HUGE - you get what you pay for times a million. I would highly recommend Saucey to anyone that I know. I've put a bunch of people onto it here and nobody has been disappointed. Def try the baked and stoned!!!! Also the fries are seasoned to perfection so if she has any dish on the menu that includes those, I would suggest them as well!

The Saucey Chef is great! It is a cool concept and the food she makes is amazing! The portions are also huge, so the whole family can enjoy her food. My favorites are the Greek gyro, the garlic noodles and steak, and the baked and stoned Mac and cheese.

Beef Patty, Hibachi Papi, I can't remember what the 3rd item is called but it was shrimp and scallops with fettucini

OMG!!! Love love her food. I look forward to drooling over the menu every Wednesday. I have never been disappointed. Everything she makes is amazing. I have to say her fried rice is the best I have had ever. And paired with the different proteins which are seasoned to perfection???? Seriously, finger licking good. You will not be disappointed!

I had some delicious tapas during the event, but then wanted an actual meal afterwards. I sat at the bar and my bartender was hilarious and patient helping me figure out which drink to order. I ended up having the Healthy Kick which was absolutely delicious and refreshing. I love ginger and it was full of that spicy flavor that I like. For my meal, I had the almond crusted scallops, the halibut and the olive oil cake. If my stomach allowed me, I would've had the entire three course over again. Lots of excellent flavor with everything balancing each other as well as as a beautiful presentation. I will absolutely put this back in my rotation!

I miss the bakery, maybe I am too biased?…read more This place was just pretentious and ridiculous. Portions are just so so miniscule. Thinnest sushi rolls I have ever seen. Normally they are $15, $10 at happy hour. Sushi nachos were worse than Nosh and again pretty small but not bad. Sushi tacos weren't tacos, they were just a few slices of fish and rice in a nori wrapper. Nothing was bad, but it was also not good. If I got that meal at Wegmans that would be about what I expect. I will say the the oysters were very large and probably a good spot for $1.. Nothing about this place was impressive to me, especially sitting at the bar for 30 minutes with my card sitting on the bill waiting for the bartender to cash us out. Tldr: pretentious, insanely overpriced, small portions, bland food, go to Wegmans.

Making reservations at 5pm, we were quickly seated at our requested location in the dining room. Due to being happy hour (5pm - 6pm), their oysters are $2 each. Choosing several, I found them enjoyable. Without any sauces, you can truly taste the pure oyster and all its flavours. A salad caught my eye; the Charred Spanish Octopus Salad was phenomenal. All the components worked beautifully together, and the octopus is one of the most tender octopus I've had anywhere. The Smoked Bluefish Salad was also phenomenal. Smokey bluefish served with a baguette and pickled red onions; this was a great starter. Only thing I wish they've done is toasted the slices of baguette. For mains, I opted in for their Pan Seared Wild Wolf Fish. This was cooked beautifully. The fish was tender, dense and moist. The side of blue crab, shiitake mushrooms & leek risotto with a lemon dill beurre blanc sauce was amazing. The sauce didn't overpower the natural taste of the fish and in fact elevated the entire dish. As for her, she opted in for the Potato Gnocchi. This was served with house-made pork sausage, chestnut mushrooms, tomato & Italian cheeses. A wonderful and rustic dish that's pure and taste like home. For dessert, we both ordered the Profiteroles. One with their house-made honey and pistachio ice cream and the other with their house-made strawberry sorbet. An excellent way to end and excellent meal. It's worth noting the service from Georgina and her helper Ally was impeccable. Georgina checked on us regularly, gave us great insight and was an overall pleasure. The quality of food, quality of service and overall atmosphere makes this one of my favourite restaurants.

From the moment we stepped in the door, we were treated so nicely. The oysters were delicious - but so was everything else we tried! The stuffed peppers were truly memorable. Emmy was our server, and she was personable and knowledgeable. Our only complaint was that we could not try one of everything on the menu. We will be back!

Our first visit was in January and we've been back 2 more times already. The main dining room is down stairs. The bar area upstairs seems very lively and inviting as well, and I've heard there's patio seating we want to try in the late spring. Service was excellent and very attentive. We loved everything we tried. You can do things traditional tapas style or you can go the appetizer and entree route. We had the calamari to start and some cocktails. For our entrees we each ordered the "feature" of the evening -- my fiance got the steak and I got the salmon. My fiance is pretty 50/50 on how good his steak experiences are in restaurants and he was very satisfied with the entree he had. My salmon cakes were SO good, everything tasted very fresh. The server also did a great job recommending a white wine to pair with my meal. We finished off with our dessert, I had the flourless chocolate torte and my fiance had (I can't recall exactly) a banana cream cheese churro I think? The desserts were amazing every time we've gone. We've had more chances to try other tapas items, the arancini is delicious as well. Also of note was that we had a good group dining experience here in February for a family members birthday. Overall if you haven't tried this spot make sure you do!
