BEWARE and BE AWARE !!!! Out of curiosity due to its popularity in tiktok, I went to their newly opened location in Elmwood Park. 1. SLOW MOTION - Service is super slow motion that is why the line is long to order and crowded. They have to find a way to make their workflow more efficient. It took 10 mins just to get my 2 ice lattes yet there were only 4 people ahead of me when I first walked in. Because I was waiting there for a good amount of time, I was able to observe them and noticed there were tons of drinks on the counter. Why not serve them right away? Why wait? Big order? They must be served before the ice melt and water down the coffee taste. 2. NOT EXCEPTIONAL - Their drinks were no different than any other cafes. Not exceptional - sugary. I can feel my blood sugar going up as I was drinking their lattes. No transparency with their calorie count. Tiktok/social media made this place popular. It was really hyped up. Will I be going back? Don't like their practice. Nothing special about this place. I do not have time to wait for a coffee that is no different than other coffee. Why wait if I can get it elsewhere faster? Is it really worth it?
I like to visit a viral spot about 6 months after all the initial hype -- I prefer calmer atmospheres, haha. In any case, visited The Saucy Cup around 9:45AM to a small but totally doable line. Actually -- no line even, because most of the people were still deciding what to order which left the "Order Here" window completely empty for me to swoop in. After briefly glancing at the menu, I decided on getting both a food and drink item: for food, I got the 4 Cheese Quiche and for drink, the wonderfully titled Caramel Miso Iced Latte. First, the quiche: it is not a quiche, lol - it's a buttery and flaky pastry with a cheesy quiche-like middle, with a subtle onion flavor as well. It is served with a pink sauce -- and after trying it, the base is definitely ketchup and mayonnaise. It tasted very good, for being a quichessant. Second, the caramel miso latte: if you are a Dulce de leche or a salted caramel fan -- this is your jam. It doesn't have the same level of saltiness as those flavors often have, but it carried an appropriate amount of umami/savoriness. I give it the Asian compliment: "Not too sweet" -- which for a caramel drink is a rare find altogether. The Saucy Cup is a locally-owned business leaving their mark in Wayne -- stop by (preferably a weekday) to try them out! P.S: Only 7-8 parking spots! May you find parking when you visit!
We came at lunch time. Didn't seem packed but it was. They are quick with the drink orders but not quick with the food. You will be waiting a while. At one point they were taking drink only orders. So come early or when you have time to wait.
I would give this around a 3.6, so I'm rounding up to 4 stars. I love the aesthetics, and you can tell that's what draws people in -- if you look at their Instagram, their coffees are gorgeous. I'm always nervous about places like this, but it's SO popular, I had to try it for myself. Unfortunately, the espresso just isn't great -- it's mostly bitter. They're relying on looks and syrups to get you there and get you to come back. It wasn't the worst coffee I've ever had, but it's definitely not the best, and I can't believe that people line up at like 6am on a weekend day for this. All of that being said, I really liked that the staff was friendly, that they had a good system going with buzzers for each customer to help keep everyone organized and let you wander away from the window, there are a few (four) outdoor tables (which is nice to have for just a coffee window), and honestly, a large iced specialty coffee for $8 is actually considered cheap nowadays (this can be upwards of $11 at some places in this area where a small specialty iced coffee starts around $9), so I appreciated that the pricing was fair. These are the main reasons for the positive review. Be prepared: there are a handful of parking spots here, maybe 7-8, this place gets packed, and if you don't get lucky and snag one, I have literally no idea where else you can park because this is on the corner of a main road with a business on the other side.
This might be the best thing I've had. I arrived early and snagged a spot in the back lot; parking is limited but doable. I grabbed a table and got some work done before it filled up; it does get busy. The breakfast wrap was outstanding: a warm, soft tortilla packed with fluffy scrambled eggs, melty cheese, and perfectly seasoned breakfast meat (I had theirs with sausage). Every bite was balanced; creamy, salty, and a little smoky; with just the right amount of gooeyness. The fillings stayed nicely tucked in without being greasy, and the tortilla held up well without getting soggy. The saucy cup they serve alongside added a tangy, slightly spicy kick that brightened the whole wrap. The coffee paired nicely; I like mine sweet, and theirs was just right. Sitting outside can be noisy from traffic, which might bother some people, but I found it calm and relaxing. I need to come back and try more things from the menu.
Came here for the second time and loved it! I got the bear cup they advertised which was so cute! Their coffee was still as amazing as the last time I visited, but this time I also got their food and was not disappointed. Breakfast club wrap was savory and delicious. We also got the dot cake cinnamon roll to share with my daughter and we all loved it!
Finally visited The Saucy Cup after seeing their viral posts all over my Instagram/TikTok feed. I live in town and am surprised I haven't visited sooner! I'm happy to see a business that is thriving in this location since all of the previous businesses did not make it. There was a line when I arrived and the super tiny parking lot was full so I had to park on one of the side streets. I ordered the Honeybee Latte off of the spring specials menu. It was super tasty and sweet without being overly sugary. Ordering takes place at the first window and pickup is at the second window. They offer a bunch of food options which I plan to try during my next visit. There are a few tables in front of the building but it's located on a somewhat busy road near the highway. I would recommend taking your order to-go. Definitely recommend stopping by!
Finallllly made it to the Saucy Cup even though they have been open for months now. I was driving by and saw no line so I knew I was in luck. I ordered the hot pistachio latte, hot Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte, Breakfast Club Wrap and the Coffee Donut Croissant to go. Everything was great -- the coffee donut croissant is a standout for sure!! The Saucy Cup is just about always busy with a line out to the sidewalk so I wouldn't make this my everyday coffee run for that reason. However, I do live close enough that I can drive by quickly and check out the line to make a quick decision about where I am going to get coffee.

The place is relatively tiny and right off rt23, the parking is as awful as the other reviews say. there are maybe 6 spots squeezed into the loop around the building. Calling it a parking lot is generous so be prepared. There are 2-3 small tables w a few chairs on the front lawn and you order at a window (no bathrooms and no "inside"). A lot of reviews complain about waiting and even at 8am on sunday i had to wait behind one couple to place an order. Three drinks took about 5 minutes and our food took another 10 minutes. Overall not too bad but the wait times must be crazy later in the day. For the drinks we got 2 coffees and a matcha. My sister loved the matcha and i even asked them to make it half sugar for her. the flat white and drip were good but just okay. i would not come back for "regular" coffee but their speciality drinks live up to the hype. we got the veg egg wraps too (i forgot the name). while they were pricey, they were also delicious. i love the spicy mayo sauce for dipping. Ratios were perfect and the tortillas were soft and fresh. to my surprise though the stars of the show were the pastries!! the coffee croissant was out of this world. crispy sweet and a strong hit of coffee flavor. it was kind of like a cronut. the coconut croissant was also to die for. a super unique combo with light coconut cream inside and a crunchy topping. i was truly impressed by the pastries. so the question - was it worth it and does it live up to the hype? overall i'd say yes but it is not worth waiting more than 20-25 minutes for. skip the regular coffee drinks and go for the fancy drinks if that's your thing. Definitelt try the pastries!! hot food is very good but the wait will probably be long and there are equally delicious options nearby. prices higher than i'd like but not crazy. i didnt want to like it this much because it has taken over my ig feed but it really is a great spot.
So far I've been here twice and been fortunate not to experience the super long lines I see others have to wait on. Very small parking lot and they do have some tables out front if you want to enjoy your items there or to wait. Could be a nice spot to have a coffee date when the weather is nice again. I have tried the tiramisu latte and the caramel miso latte. I also had the Nutella croissant. Let me tell you that croissant was worth every dollar. It was so good and they did not hold back on the Nutella. I like the coffee they use there. I will say although they look like their drinks would be super sweet so far that hasn't been my experience which is fine with me. Truly enjoy the taste of coffee. I do prefer the taste once stirred though because there is more flavor. Great service every time and the orders come out pretty quick. Definitely worth a try especially if there isn't a long line. Also their prices are pretty reasonable. Not sure if this is a tip or not but I've gone around 805-815am both times and that is when there have been no lines. Also the entrance to the parking lot is on the back of the building.
Finally made the trip over to try this place and we got there early enough that the line wasn't that long, we got our order in after about 10 mins, but after ordering it probably took 30 mins to get the coffee. That said it was all really good coffee! The Vanilla iced latte definitely had a great espresso taste not burnt and not overly sweet. The Dolce Baklava was also a great unique coffee but didn't taste much like pistachio which is what made me order it. The Coffee Croissant Donut tasted EXACTLY like paris Baguettes if you've ever had that one, a tad too much icing makes it really sweet so just know that going into it. I'd recommend if there's no line, definitely try it out but I wouldn't wait 45 mins for coffee more than once.
After waiting months to try it due to how long the lines had been.. I was not impressed by the latte... unfortunately it did not really stand out to me. I had the cinnamon toast, crunch latte, and there was nothing special about it. It actually tasted a bit watered down. However, the Nutella croissant was delicious... I have a whole list of places I wanna go to however I'll wait a bit before I try this one again. Service was quick and easy they gave you a buzzer once your stuff is ready. I was there at 8 AM so there was no line.
Have seen so many posts on social media figured I had to go try for myself! Times it just right not having any line and a table to enjoy my goodies on a Thursday morning. The staff was super friendly and got the order out in a timely manner. Tried the hashbrown cheesy bread and it was so good I totally forgot to snap a picture. For drinks I got 2 items off the sprint menu- the strawberry shortcake Matcha and cookies and cream cold brew. They were both made to perfection.

Honestly don't even know what to say! This place is amazing !!!! I saw a Tik Tok about this coffee shop and immediately went to their instagram to look at what they had to offer. First off if you are in the area... please stop by and try this out YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT ! This is a cute new little coffee shop on the corner of Mountainview blvd. Last time I went they had a few chairs and tables outside. The parking lot is a little small but you can park across the street in a bigger parking lot and walk to the coffee shop (it's probably like a minute walk) soo not too bad. Actually, I recently saw that they just opened up another location where you can actually sit inside and the space is bigger soo I can't wait to check out the new location once I'm back home ! Now let's get to the coffee! In the first picture my friend got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch & I got the tiramisu iced coffee & wow after my first or second visit I found my perfect coffee order here: Tiramisu the staff every time I have visited soo far have been wonderful and honestly you do not wait a long time for your order. (An extra plus for that lol) I haven't been able to try the food but I have heard really good reviews about it & usually when I go, I see people always ordering a wrap, something that I need to try next time I am back home. Truly wish I had the stomach for everything on their menu because everything looks soo good ! My last trip here and I brought my parents and they loved it ! My dad and I are coffee lovers soo this was perfect for us ! Day dreaming about this coffee and can't wait to see the new location ! read more

Space is nice and spacious not going to lie about that, soooo I don't know what the hype was about! I love my matcha and coffee BUT this just wasn't it for me!! Very slow moving long line, waited about 20 mins service was ehhh... I ordered an ice Ube latte but got an ice Ube Matcha latte I didn't have time to say anything because I waited so long basically for everything. ME thinking whatever they gave me Matcha I'll just drink it. BUT the ice Ube Matcha tasted like very sweet MILK there was just a little dash of the UBE cold foam I believe? I think it needed way more than that, the cold foam is suppose to go on top and fill the top that is not what I got! Overall just disappointed, would I be coming back here?! No thanks! read more

shorter line during weekdays in the afternoon and so didnt mind the wait. tried their ube matcha and thought it was bland at first until i mixed it well. It was good but lacked the ube flavor that I was looking for. Also tried their seasonal Mango Matcha and it was also nice and sweet, good balance of both flavors. 15min wait for a bit long for their Chicken vodka wrap but luckily this also had good flavor. Waited to eat this at home so i became slightly soggy but not bad. Was still hot and flavorful when i had it for lunch, good portion too. their dessert, fried gnocchi with nutella and pistachio, was a veeery nice treat! love the chew and the sweetness! they look like cute marbles lol and it was a good amount thats perfect to share. read more

I'm torn about what to rate this spot because although I wasn't loving it, I also didn't hate it. I've heard the lines can get super long but I was very lucky when I went, there was only 2 people in front of me. I probably should have decided what I wanted to order before I got to the ordering window because I got flustered and ordered a tiramisu latte. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but it's something I've had in other coffee shops. So I wanted to try something more unique to their location, I should have went with the caramel miso latte. I also ordered the breakfast wrap and that's definitely not worth $12, nothing special about it. Very blah. Next time, I will skip the food and just stick with drinks. Because I do wanna go back and try some other options. Staff was nice, wait time was minimal. Today was actually a fairly nice day so was able to wait outside with my dog without freezing. read more

After seeing this place filling up my Instagram feed I decided we'd give it a try. Food was nothing great. We tried the avocado toast, rise and shine wrap and the coffee donut. The wrap pretty much just tasted like a scrambled egg no other flavor even with the boom boom sauce it wasn't tasty, just spicy. The avocado toast was average, clearly not freshly mashed, possible premade because it was cold. The donut was okay. The vanilla bean latte was very good. The service was good but the location and ambiance not great. It's a stand that you order from the window. Nowhere to sit just had to stand around and wait. The drinks were out much earlier than the food so you are just awkwardly waiting there. The parking isn't ideal either. I wish them luck. It was nice to try but I just don't see myself going back. read more
I was really lucky and got there with 4 people on line ahead of me. Staff was friendly. They have a few spots in the back of the cafe and you may get lucky which I luckily did! Iced lattes were good but can be on the sweeter side. Rise and shine wrap was good but dry, I think they might have forgotten to give me sauce based off of what I saw on other people's reviews/videos on social media. Donuts were also good but wasn't a fan of the creme filling inside - very sweet but the actual donut itself was so good especially the Nutella cronut. For the cronut - I wished they used actual Nutella filling & not the chocolate creme it kinda ruined it for me read more

Such a cute spot for coffee and matcha lovers. Enjoyed my iced coffee and coffee croissant donut. Be advised parking is limited, it's outdoors with no indoor seating. Arrived on a Saturday at 12 and waited an hour. Will try again when it's warmer weather read more

Went to see what the hype was all about. Got three ice lattes. Dulce Baklava- not super sweet but tastey w. Pistachio foam. 8/10 Cinnamon toast crunch - super sweet, very close to taste of actual cereal. -7.5/10 Latte biscotto- 9/10 - sweet but amazing taste. Staff was friendly. They have seating outside if you want to eat there. No indoor seating. read more

Cute place! It's just a walk up window to order. There are a few seats and tables outside. The hype is very real right now!! I waited an hour in line to order. I got the latte biscotti and it's very delicious. I also got the hash brown bread with cheese which was surprisingly hefty and filling for just a pastry item. I definitely will come back to try their other speciality lattes :-) read more

I got here around 9:30 on Monday morning so the wait wasn't as long as it typically is. I ordered the miso caramel iced latte and the tiramisu iced latte and the four cheese quiche. The lattes were very good for the area, though I probably wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes for either. The tiramisu was the better of the two. I found the miso caramel to have somewhat of a cinnamon flavor. The four cheese quiche is not a quiche-- it's a puff pastry with cheese and I think some egg in there, but such a thin layer that it is not noticeable. It was super buttery and delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised. Service could use a bit more of a kind touch considering the wait times people face. It's nothing bad, though. read more

I was extremely influenced by posts I saw online and couldn't wait to try this place. From all the posts I knew there was going to be a line to order on a Saturday morning. Took a half hour from getting in line to placing my order, which was fine and expected. What I didn't anticipate was waiting another 40 minutes for two coffees. I know for sure it was that long bc I texted my SO after ordering at 10:24am. Donuts came out after about 10 minutes. I texted that I got the coffees after 11am. Donut was delicious. Coffees were good. But my god 40 minutes for two iced coffees. It seemed to take an abnormally long time between calling each order. They'd call a name and hand out some coffees (Max I saw in an order was 4) - and then it would be 5-7 minutes before they called another. Decent. First of all, line wait was about 20 minutes. Lol I had the cinnamon and the tiramisu coffee, now the coffee was pretty ? But that's all I give it. It was so bad. Maybe I should have tried something else ?? The coffee donut was good at least. read more

The service is very bad/ slow , they take too long to deliver even though it's fresh. It's not a good tactic and experience for waiting outside. Overall, the Matcha is Great but not worth the waiting game. read more

The tiramisu latte is my absolute favorite and I also love the cinnamon social latte and all the breakfast wraps! They've added pagers to alert you when the order is ready which is great.
