    Blueberry Mousse
    Michele W.

This is maybe the most mixed review I have ever written because the food was outstanding, but the desserts were all style over substance. I dug so ravenously into my steak salad that had never occurred to me to stop and snap a picture before shoveling it into my mouth! Such a hearty, delicious salad with delicious and surprising ingredients. The portion was huge. Service was terrific--friendly and attentive. When you enter the restaurant, you see that it is airy and welcoming. Then your eyes are drawn to the long dessert case and through your entire meal you are constantly looking over, evenly anticipating the sweet and to your meal. we chose this gorgeous blueberry mousse, and I am sad to say that after that glorious salad, it was all style and no substance. I had planned to take a box of pastries to go, but this changed my mind. I would definitely return for all the reasons described above, but I would ask my server what their favorite dessert was, and order that.

Old World Charm ! I felt like i was back in Istanbul in the the district of Sultanahmet a historic neighborhood. I was so pleased to see the seating , & ambience was more fine dining than bakery ! Typical in many European cities . Istanbul is on the European side of Turkey . Def one of those get dressed for coffee places you often see on SM ! Many mouth watering choices of desserts and confectionary . The Turkish ppl are know for their tea and coffee . Albeit their coffee makes espresso seem like water LOL

Stopped in for brunch. Omelets and mono breakfast were good. Great selection of baked goods to accompany the amazingly well prepared coffees. Servers were friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is nice, loved the blue colored seating. Door is automated and keeps opening letting a chilly breeze into the dining room; this will be a problem in the Winter unless they address this.

Food was so fresh! It took time to get it (about) an hour but it was delicious! Service was great the servers were nice ... just the amount of time to get the food you would think we got a complicated meal. Ambiance is a cute spot to get lunch or dinner or a snack open till 12 so I guess you decide.

Went here for the first time to get something for a family party. I had no idea it was a whole cafe inside. The place is beautiful. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. I had the pleasure of meeting Ezra on of the co-owners [I believe]. She was informative, kind, helpful, and respectful. They have handicap accessible bathrooms which is a huge plus. Plenty of seating. The pastries look like the should be in a magazine. I can't wait to come back and sit for a brunch.

I came home with my friends disappointed because our concert got cancelled, but then we passed The Sultan Bakery lit up in all its glory at 10:30 pm on a Friday night and we decided to give it a try. The place was packed - it's definitely a great place to meet friends to socialize when you don't want to go to a bar. It's very hard to pick a dessert from the case, because there are so many. I'm sure what I picked was meant for more than one person but I ate the whole thing - it was a chocolate mousse type cake. It was great!! My friends both ate their entire desserts too. My friend also got the Turkish coffee. That was too strong for my tastes, but she loved it. I ordered a bottled beverage from the case instead but would have tea the next time. Service was great, our waiter was funny and offered suggestions. The atmosphere inside was very bright and happy.

    Hummus Rainbow

The restaurant is beautiful, and the dessert display was amazing. We came for dinner, and the hummus was delicious. Unfortunately, my entrée arrived before my friend's. We had to ask several times about the other entrée, which was just a burger. By the time it arrived, my food was cold. Overall, the food was okay.

    Festival cake

Went to Sultan Bakery for breakfast and it was awesome. We had breakfast, tried some desserts, and had tea. Everything was seriously delicious. The service was super friendly and quick, and the vibe is really nice. Only downside is it gets loud inside and the sound echoes a lot when it is busy. Still 100% worth it and I will be back.

Good pastries but highly overpriced. You can drive to Clifton and get the same food for much cheaper.

(Reservations are not that easy to make last minute.) The restaurant is big and open but always busy. Kids get wax craft sticks to play with and bend into cool shapes, which I find very unique and cool. I feel like there is a difference between a diner and a true brunch place. A diner, of which there are numerous in New Jersey, is a establishment that churns out inexpensive, and potentially excellent, but very standard breakfast food - omelettes, pancakes, benedicts and the like. A true brunch place, on the other hand, offers things like lemon ricotta pancakes, cacio e pepe scrambles, mushroom thyme omelettes and shakshuka. Willow & Whisk is that kind of brunch place, and which is rare in New Jersey. The food options are varied, very tasty, and with good portion sizes. I love the shakshuka and the mushroom thyme omelette. Oh gosh, when is our next reservation again?

The highlight was definitely the Stuffed French Toast. It looked beautiful, and I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was surprisingly well balanced. The toast was soft with a slightly crispy exterior, and the cream cheese filling paired really well with the strawberry compote. We also ordered the BLT+. The smoked bacon was delicious, but the focaccia was a little too thin and hard, making it harder to eat than I expected. The house-made sausage was good, just not particularly memorable. As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast. There's also parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy.

Food : 3.5/5 (Salty for our preference) Service : 5/5 Ambience : 4/5 We ordered the (1) Seasonal Menu - Chimichurri steak & eggs hash, & (2) Strawberry pancakes. The steak & egg hash was pretty good, exactly as presented in the picture !!!! But the food was very salty for our preference. I don't usually have to mention "Easy on the salt." But, next time I am at First Watch, I might have to. The pancakes were just regular. Not so fluffy, but a bit mushy. The server was very attentive, and pot of coffee was a convenient service without having to raise your hand for more. The place is very spacious and very busy during lunch time. We would like to try the salad and sandwich next time !!!

I picked out my latte and went to the counter only to discover that they cannot make lattes decaf :-( I was so excited to try the Tiramisu latte but couldn't. I liked that they give you a buzzer to wait for your food. The staff was very nice. And it's a cute walk up window. Like I mentioned I couldn't get any espresso drink decaf which is the only reason why I took off a star. Maybe they will include that in the future.

In any case, visited The Saucy Cup around 9:45AM to a small but totally doable line. Actually -- no line even, because most of the people were still deciding what to order which left the "Order Here" window completely empty for me to swoop in. After briefly glancing at the menu, I decided on getting both a food and drink item: for food, I got the 4 Cheese Quiche and for drink, the wonderfully titled Caramel Miso Iced Latte. First, the quiche: it is not a quiche, lol - it's a buttery and flaky pastry with a cheesy quiche-like middle, with a subtle onion flavor as well. It is served with a pink sauce -- and after trying it, the base is definitely ketchup and mayonnaise. It tasted very good, for being a quichessant. Second, the caramel miso latte: if you are a Dulce de leche or a salted caramel fan -- this is your jam. It doesn't have the same level of saltiness as those flavors often have, but it carried an appropriate amount of umami/savoriness. I give it the Asian compliment: "Not too sweet" -- which for a caramel drink is a rare find altogether. The Saucy Cup is a locally-owned business leaving their mark in Wayne -- stop by (preferably a weekday) to try them out! P.S: Only 7-8 parking spots! May you find parking when you visit!

The food was fresh (how did they find a flawless avocado in the middle of winter???) and the flavors delicious. The service was outstanding -- weekend brunch was packed, and they put your name on a list in case you want to walk around town while you're waiting. Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Someone else in our small group got the avocado toast (more avocado!!) and also said it was excellent. Definitely plan to return!

Great for meeting up with friends, maybe even small groups (depending on the size of the group). I ordered a coffee and scone. The scone was not too sweet, which I really liked! They clearly use real ingredients and don't oversweeten recipes, which is comfortable to digest. The scone was a bit dry and hard and didn't give the flare of flavor I was hoping for-- I'd ordered a Mexican chocolate scone and wanted to taste deep smoky chocolate and spice. The flavor was much milder and middle of the road. I saved most of it but ate it over the next couple days. Tasted better once the flavors set in I guess. The coffee was just aiight though. I a huge coffee fanatic so this one hit home. Wasn't bad by any means, but didn't spark my soul either. I explore lots of vegan and GF places, and if you're in the area, do go check them out.
