I went in there today with 2 other girlfriends. The facilities are really new and nice. I got an 80 minute deep tissue massage for $175. My masseuse did a great job working out my back and neck. I always want my massage therapists to feel a sense of accomplishment even though they are never able to get rid of all of my knots. She did a really great job, and I didn't hold it against her that my back is knotted forever. Also, we enjoyed the steam room before we went into the massages. It could get crowded pretty easily with only two showers, two bathrooms, and a somewhat small dressing area, but we were luckily the only people in there. Overall, since we didn't end up using the pool or whirlpool, my experience was great. However, if I did want to soak before or after my massage, I would probably ding half a star for having to walk outside of the spa to the outdoor hotel area to do so. That said, for what it is, the Seagate Spa is great, and I would definitely go back again. read more

Great hotel in great location. Very Average customer service. They need to provide more shuttles to the beach. On a Friday morning just before the weekend they have one SUV going to the beach for the entire hotel. The shuttle apparently doesn't run on weekend. Stayed here a few times and the staff are always helpful. They have a complimentary Mercedes shuttle for the area which is nice when you want to go a few blocks away by the nightlife. Price is pretty good too considering this is a nicer place to stay. Only gripe was the room had a view of the wall of the neighboring building. read more

Very disappointed. I expected much more from what was rated a high end resort. I found most of the staff we encountered to be not very helpful or friendly. They appeared inexperienced at the desk. We spent the day out and returned to our room around 4:30 and it had not even been cleaned. For what this place charges you would be better off in a Comfort Inn. read more

The hotel itself is fine. Not exactly what I thought - no water views. You look at a wall of concrete. Service is good. My review is for the beach club. As guests of the hotel you are able to use the services. First off. No service on the beach. I was told someone would be out to see us. Never happened. I had to walk up and get my drinks from the window. We came to the pool bc we were hungry and you cannot eat at the beach. When we got to the pool we were ignored. There was one server. He could care less. When I went over to the window he told me he couldn't serve my side of the pool and had to get someone else. That was a joke. When someone did finally come over we were told we couldn't eat on the pool deck. All the tables were taken. So basically We needed to go to the restaurant. We ended up leaving. Service was horrible. This is advertised as a full service beach club. Not true at all. Would not recommend at all. read more

I had mailed a package that had decorations and a gift for my boyfriends birthday we were spending the weekend there the package never arrived but April at the concierge desk sent complimentary champagne and strawberries to our room so I was still able to have a nice birthday surprise for my boyfriend they were so helpful and nice I can't say enough we will be back amazing hotel!!! read more

Great staff, accommodations and location; it's walking distance to downtown Delray as well as the beach. If you're a guest- take advantage of their private beach club- you can either take the hotel trolley or walk. The restaurants onsite offer good food- generous portions and the prices are reasonable in comparison to many of the restaurants in downtown. If you're in this area- it's the best option- even better than the Marriott; the Seagate is worthy of its 5- star rating. read more

Enjoyed our recent trip to the Seagate Hotel in Delray Beach. Convenient to much of the nightlife and restaurants around the area but without the noise. Shuttle service to the beach and country club affiliated with the hotel. Friendly helpful staff in all areas of the property- restaurant-front desk- bell desk-etc. There is a $20/ day parking charge Internet is $10/day and can be avoided if you sign up with iprefer hotel club Happy hour in the Atlantic Grill from 4-7 on the weekend we were at the hotel. Food is decent and live entertainment the Friday- Saturday we stayed. Good spot and looking forward to another visit.~ read more

My cousin and I waited 45 minutes to get served, and when we asked for a menu, we were told that we needed to move by a waitress. Finally got a menu 50 minutes after sitting down at our third table of the night. My fiancé and I stayed here for Memorial Day weekend, it isn't cheap but it is one of the better hotels in the area. Room service was always fast and responsive, the rooms are clean and spacious. We had a really wonderful stay at the Seagate. All of the staff at the hotel and beach club were incredibly friendly. Especially Greg who was so wonderful with our children (ages 8, 6 &4) at the beach club. He organized a movie night on Friday for the kids so us adults could eat alone. And the next day there were crafts at the beach. Totally worth the $15 charge per child. I also have to sing Jason's praises at the spa. Literally the best massage I've ever had...and I get them often. His hands are magic. It was so great, at checkout I booked him again for the very next day! Such a wonderfully relaxing way to start off my days of vacation. We would absolutely come stay at this hotel again. No complaints. read more

From check in to check out, the staff of the hotel treated us amazingly. It was my fiancé's birthday so they upgraded our room and champagne was delivered in the evening. The car service is very helpful. They have Escalades that are available for free to go to the local shops, restaurants, and the Seagate Beach Club. The drivers work on tips so i gave them 5 bucks per passenger in our little group of friends going out for a night in Delray. The pool at the hotel is super chill and they have poolside food and beverage service. The boutique, gift shop, and cafe all are well appointed and have the friendliest of staffs. We only had pool snacks and sandwiches, but the grub was great. Definitely recommend this place for business travelers, family get aways, or a little couples retreat. read more

Started with a 2 and now it's a 1. Anyone can provide nice rooms and cool amenities and location for a price. Awful service. Had to wait multiple times at later hours when I got home from a night out for someone at the front desk to come help with my room key bc I couldn't get into my room. Had key in separate pockets from all belongings within the paper folding device they give you when room key is provided - shouldn't be possible to deactivate at this point (I travel around the work year round and in US at numerous hotels). Didn't appreciate the way I was approached, talked to, or handled (I'm from southern US/Midwest - very polite and understanding). I was greeted upon arrival by the rudest group of men in valet parking I have ever seen. While we were trying to unload, one of them loudly demanded the car keys from me several times, when in fact one of the other valets already had the keys. Once he realized this fact, they suddenly drove the car away before unloading all of my luggage and without even asking if this was okay. This left me alone on a very hot curbside with a pile of luggage on a cart. And then no one showed up to help me with the luggage, even though it was the middle of a heat wave and I was pouring sweat. I wound up having to push the cart a very long distance to my own room at the far side of the hotel. Then someone called and asked me why I had taken the cart because they needed it back.And I still needed the rest of the luggage that was left inside the car. This goes down in my personal history as the absolute rudest greeting I have ever had at any hotel, bar none. read more

Hotel staff and service is great but the beach club employees are HORRID. The "cabana boys" sit in a corner all day on their phones and give you an attitude or act like you're an inconvience to them if you ask for anything. Don't bother expecting them to ask you if you need anything. Maybe you'll get somewhere if you throw hundred dollar bills at them? Sad that such a nice establishment wouldn't have employees that even fulfill basic duties. read more

I've been going there to do my manicure/pedicure for about one year now and even it's pretty pricey I could't find better place than Seagate spa in the area. Also massage therapists are great. After a chaotic year, new baby and with my husband's impending 40th, we opted for a quick staycation at The Seagate. I'm so very thrilled we did. From the first phone call to the easy, early check-in, this experience exceeded all expectations. Geeta at the front desk is an asset. From her accommodating, pleasant nature to her thoughtfulness (she actually gifted us a bath toy for the baby on our departure). The drivers are friendly and quick and Patrick and Chris at The Beach Club Bar were awesome. The rooms were spotless and nice - get a balcony room! Close enough to the best Delray spots for some fun but far enough for a quiet night's sleep, we will return soon. Thank you all - especially Geeta - for making this a great weekend! Probably one of the most horrible experiences I have ever had. I am an avid traveler for business and pleasure. I went for my birthday weekend with my partner. Upon arrival we were "greeted" and given the wrong room (much smaller with a view of a wall). with no apologies. However, she did compensate us for free valet parking for the weekend. My partner had called prior to have a chilled bottle of wine waiting (which was not in the the room) again no apology. To top it off the carpet in our room was wet and smelled rotten. We were assured this would be steam cleaned again this never happened. The next morning I went to speak to the front desk (everyone extremely rude and unapologetic) to discuss that nothing was cleaned Mike at the front desk was rude and defensive. I then asked to speak to the manager on duty (do not remember her name) she was again rude and some what sarcastic, this is when I lost my temper to tell them it was my birthday (no happy birthdays by the way) .Finally they put us in the original room I had booked which was nicer. Upon, check-out Matthew was at the front desk again rude and smug. Gave me the bill and we had been charged for valet parking. I explained that this was waived he stated NO it was not. I told him to get the original itemized rate that I signed off on. He was extremely annoyed and went to get this document. He came back and low and behold there it was on the itemized bill that it was in fact waived. He did not apologize either. I will let everyone know that this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had it was truly unbelievable. On a positive note, the valet service and housekeeping and beach club service was awesome. I never go on social networks to complain but felt that this was much needed. read more

Beware when booking at this hotel. There are hidden costs which we were unaware of until we got the bill, which was not automatically provided...we had to ASK for it. When we booked the hotel and asked for the rate, the room rate is all we were given. We were not told of the $30 PER DAY resort fee (which covers use of the hotel car service to and from the beach, and use of the beach club itself). We were in Florida on business and there was no time to make use of these "amenities" so to discover 7 days worth of the resort fee on our bill was shocking. Also shocking is the $19 PER DAY parking fee for the hotel garage. I will say that the parking staff couldn't have been nicer. They do NOT offer free WIFI. It is $10 PER DAY. We opted to go to Starbucks instead. The television in our room did not work even after two attempts by the hotel technician who revealed to us that the hotel is slowly replacing televisions but only after a guest complains that theirs does not work. This did not happen during our stay. Our bill also included inaccurate mini bar charges, including one for a can of chocolate that was stale upon opening -- we presented it to the front desk so we would not be charged, and still, we were charged. Although the bathroom is attractive, one could easily fall and injure themselves in the shower which is very slippery and has no railings whatsoever. We did manage to get them to delete the charges for the mini bar and movies, but in all feel the hotel was not forthcoming about costs. read more

Writing this review about the spa. We didn't stay at the hotel but had spa treatments over this last holiday. I noticed in the pictures that it looked like the pool was completely shaded and I wanted a location that offered sun and pool time after our treatments. I called the spa staff asking about the pics and whether the pool was completely shaded. They assured me it wasn't but when we arrived that was clearly a false answer. We were very disappointed and will not be returning. Too bad too bc the spa treatments were fantastic! Highly recommend the spa if you have no intention of using the pool. read more

I went to the bar to meet friends for drinks. It was a nice bar with good service and live music. They had a great beer selection. The only thing I didn't like is that the waitresses wear tight pants and tie their shirts to show their midriffs. It just seemed unnecessary, and cheapened the classy decor. read more

My husband and I love this hotel and are planning to go back in January. It feels like a boutique hotel, very intimate, friendly staff and excellent service. We enjoyed the workout gym and the quiet pool. I didn't use the spa...quite honestly, it was a bit pricey compared to spa services I get at home. The concierge was especially helpful recommending good restaurants and lining up a driver to take us "uptown." I actually left my credit card at one of the restaurants by accident and he kindly arranged to pick it up for me. Very classy. read more

We have been to the coffe shop in the lobby about 10 times. Most often, the staff is unpleasant, rushing and just have a negative attitude as if they are doing you a hugh favor to take your order. I have spoken to the manager about this but, we have not been back. The atmosphere is nice, modern & clean. The selection is quite nice. They have my favorite chai latte in Delray! Stayed here with some friends for my girlfriends birthday weekend. The room was very spacious, the bathroom was huge with a full tub and great shower. Beds were extremely comfortable. We spent the day at their offsite beach club, had lunch and my friends stated they had the best facials they had ever had. Very cool fish tank in the lobby to take photos in front of. Gym was great as well - much better than you typically find at a hotel. Free ride in a Mercedes to downtown for dinner was a nice plus. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area. read more
