I will say we sat under the stairs so lady... be careful you can see right up peoples outfits when they are coming down. Should definitely consider tinting those windows. Food was delicious but large portions. Great if you are super hungry but for two girl friends we had a lot of extras. We ordered the: Garlic Truffle Fries Brussel Sprouts Artisan Bread Whiskey Sticky Ribs Bison Short Ribs Delicious but the ribs and fries were definitely my favorites... brussels sprouts were a close second. Waitress was great, made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommended coming here for a cute date night! Very dimly lite though so bring your glasses!! Overall 4.5 / 5 stars!

If you're sitting at the bar you can see the window where your food comes up -- our salad and fries both sat there about ten minutes before anyone brought them the ten feet over to us. Not a huge deal, but it's a little cruddy sitting there thinking "I'm pretty sure that's ours" and waiting. The ambiance is very dark, with a lot of stairs up and down -- you head into sort of a basement-type area. Everything I saw was clean and nice. It's a cool, funky spot to take a date or hit for happy hour, so the vibe and ambiance are definitely spot on for that. Signature cocktails -- all fine. Not the best thing ever, but solid. I'd have them again. Side salad -- good. The ranch is made in house and very flavorful, and the salad was actually loaded with veggies. French fries with garlic aioli -- a bit of a letdown. We didn't even finish them. They came out okay, just a little dry, and the aioli itself wasn't very good -- we didn't really like it. Pro tip: The entrées looked pricey, which is why we stuck to snacking at the bar -- and after the fries came out, we were fine calling it there and eating elsewhere. Overall, would recommend for happy hour, and would return.

Plenty of horseradish but I especially like the chopped celery. My New York strip was tasty and cooked exactly to the temperature I ordered. The "European" flight wine paring was perfect. Service was great. Evan was polite and attentive despite doing double duty as bartender and server. However, for reasons unclear to me but a very common experience, it was a very long wait between the time I received the dessert menu and the time someone took my order. This happens too frequently, once the entree is delivered the server forgets the table. When it finally arrived, the fresh berries and cream dessert was disappointing. It seemed like the berries had been frozen rather than fresh. When I observed this, a server said it was because they were macerated in alcohol over night. I ate only about 1/3 and thought it should have been removed from the check after I complained, but it was not. Otherwise, an excellent experience but not as good as it should have been.

Came in with a group and we all ordered just about every side they offer and just about every steak they have. I ordered mine with the cognac pepper sauce which was a delicious finishing touch and my favorite of the sides were the Szechuan cauliflower and the truffle Mac. We ended the evening with the hazelnut mouse cake and it was divine! Service was consistent and courteous throughout.

Drink orders were taken right away, and everyone received their drinks except my fiancé. He eventually just ordered a different drink instead. We placed our food order around 7:15, but the appetizers came out one by one instead of together, which already set the tone for the night. Our main courses didn't arrive until around 9:00 PM, almost two hours later. On top of that, two of our dishes were completely forgotten and had to be re-rung and brought out even later. We didn't plan on spending over two hours at dinner, but at that point we didn't have much of a choice. The food itself was actually very good, but not for the price. For a party of 7 where everyone only had one drink, our bill came out to over $1,450, nearly $210 per person. At that price point, there really isn't room for this many mistakes. It was also very obvious that the restaurant was understaffed. One woman was running the entire top floor by herself, taking orders and making drinks. That's not fair to the staff or the guests. Overall, the potential is there, but the service and staffing need major improvement, especially for such an expensive dining experience.

I would love to shout out our waitress, however, I don't know her name. But she was the perfect balance of attentiveness and understanding that we were probably on a first date with how much we kept talking. She was really sweet on taking our orders, and checking in on us. For drinks my day got an old old-fashioned, which I ended up trying- and it was pretty good. I personally got the Cosmo and it was decent. I'm generally more of a gin and tonic, but it was still delicious. For food, we got the fried mac & cheese, balls, and crab stuffed mushrooms. Both had such a great flavor. And I think our favorite was dipping the bread from the crab, stuffed mushrooms in the garlic mixture at the. For entrée, my date got the halibut. And honestly, the sauce was amazing. For my lobster rolls they were both very fresh and delicious. But honestly, I could not eat both. Overall, this was such a great place for our first date, and I would honestly be back for more of the food and the best service. The only knock a star was truly for price point. It's definitely on the price your side even going at lunchtime.

Honestly, expect a wait time, even if you have a reservation. They will not seat you until exactly your reservation time, even if there are a lot of open tables in the back, because of the "volume of patrons." I understand not wanting to overwhelm the staff, but there were a lot of open tables and not one or two, but three people folding napkins. Sooooo... sure. Then, after that, expect to wait for your food. It took over 30 minutes for three appetizers to appear and then another 30 minutes for the entrées. I put 2 hours and 12 minutes on the meter and came back with only 12 minutes left. It was a Friday night, but 2 hours? The food was barely above diner food. It was prepared well, but the flavor profile wasn't particularly developed for the cost. Overall, it tasted okay, but if you can make a good steak, just save yourself the time and money and have it at home.
