I've been meaning to try this studio, especially since it's just so close to my family. I've been…read moredoing hot yoga for about two years, and this was definitely a new experience for me. I'll start with the good: Bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. I loved having mints on the way to the studio. I also noticed a water bottle filling station. As for the class itself, I think it's really important to point out a few things: -Your back is turned to the instructor, not towards. I was advised by my instructor to look to my neighbor, since each class is the same flow. I've never experienced this before. -Yeah, it's hot. But there's also hot AC blasting in your face, which not only adds humidity, but also makes the floors super slippery. -Mirrors are along the wall, so you'll definitely see yourself sweaty. -I do want to note that the studio sort of smelled funky before class. (Trying to be honest here.) I did like the flow! And I did lose the most calories I've ever lost in a hot yoga class before! But before I went, I wish I had known these things. I'll give it another try.

Pricy but most reformer classes are. Yuan was my instructor and bc of her, I won't be back to try a different class or instructor. It was so bad. I felt like she knew a great deal about Pilates but not fitness or anatomy I'm general. I'm not a Pilates expert by any means, but I do work in fitness and consider myself to be pretty fit. I was so belittled with her passive aggressive comments throughout class. Everything from "you're fit but not Pilates fit" to "this is not for everyone" came out of her mouth. I felt like she thrived on making people feel small around her. I was definitely not the only one uncomfortable. Pilates is for everyone and so is all of fitness. Do yourself a favor and go to Boost Pilates instead.

You had to wait until the billing goes through to book a class but by then you were often on a wait list and didn't get in. Then you would get the next two classes, but then when you go to book the third you would have a problem if it were within a few days of your next billing date. The system would ask you for a credit card. I cancelled my membership because of not liking to get ripped off but of course they had a reason to charge me again since I didn't give them the complete thirty day notice. I would recommend not using them if you don't like to waste your money.

Overall this was a great party and I know this rec center offers so much more - basketball courts, swim lessons, a gym, and more.

She provided thorough written material with lots of resource info & tips, which I felt was better than trying to learn by reading online. I left the class excited to practice what I had learned.
