If you need an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced auto repair shop near Gold River or Rancho Cordova, I'd definitely recommend them. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! I left with an oil change, 4 new tires, new spark plugs, and air filters. I've held out on an oil change because I was too lazy to drive to one of those drive thru oil changing places. Honestly, the 4 new tires are justified. I saw how bald it was before I took them in. I just didn't know it was so bad that the wires were showing! Also, there was a nail in one of them. That's the only reason I justified in taking my car in. Lol. The spark plugs haven't been changed since I bought the car in 2021 at 60k miles. It's getting replaced for the first time at 103k miles. With my allergies, I always get new air filters whenever I go into a mechanic shop. So, that's standard. And turns out, I didn't need new brake pads! I don't remember the reasoning but it was valid. My car has never ran sooooooo smooth. I'm so glad I finally found a good mechanic nearby! And the cost! I was honestly surprised with my total. I thought it would be more. With how close by the shop is, I really have no excuse to not be on top of my car maintenance now. And I'm definitely going back for all my maintenance needs.

This freaking Mike guy…read more Everything was going well until my girlfriend called me with questions. This is after receiving a quote for parts and labor Mike- who was that? Me- oh, my girlfriend. Mike- we don't like it when people question the mechanic. It makes us not want to the work at all" Me: oh lol. Mike: I'm serious. Then he rewrites the quote and tells me I have to go get my own parts now. Me "because what my girlfriend asked?!" Mike "yes" I went to a couple stores in the area and one of them guessed that it was Mike from the story. I went to the service department across the street and that guy, named guy was cool. He actually offered a diagnostic, Mike did not. But with the diagnostic and a new alternator, it's cheaper than Mike was going to charge. Also when I told him I wasn't letting him go near my car and I was taking it to another place because of his rudeness, he asked if it was because I was a sissy. this guy can take a flying kick at a rolling doughnut. Shady as hell. ​rude as hell. And other yelp reviews say he ripped them off. I gotta check the brake job he did last week, when I have a chance. Hopefully he didn't screw up my car on purpose to get me to come back. I initially thought my brakes were installed wrong, so I went back.

I took it to a mechanic (No Name) here in CH and they billed me $210.00 and couldn't locate the issue, so I brought it home. Well, this past Saturday my car wouldn't start, so I was told by a very good friend that I take it to TN3 Automotive, which I did (Had my car towed) on Tuesday. I'd previously contacted the owner, Tom, informing him my car was being towed to his shop, and so he took basic information regarding what types of issues I'd been experiencing, which I provided. I met Tom the following day, and he was genial, kind, listened intently, and just a solid individual through & through. He exudes honesty & integrity, and assured me he'd locate the issue, and he did just that. The thoroughness of his Teams assessment of my vehicle, every part captured by clear photos that included a specific narrative of my car parts issue, and whether it was deemed an emergency fix, or just watch & keep an eye on it was noted, & reassuring. Not once did he advise that I needed this or that done to my vehicle, but clearly enunciated in line of priority things I should take care of. Ended up being a PGMFI Main Start Relay why my car wouldn't start. Out the door for $340.00. Car is running excellent!! I have very high expectations of service providers, and he exemplifies the highest of integrity & standards!!
