When any of us go to buy a different car we always call Pat first to see if he works on that kind of car and if Pat says no, none of us would even dream of buying cars unless he works on that model. And when we do pick a car, we take it over to him first and have him tell us whether he would recommend that we buy it. The car has to get his OK or we won't buy it! Pat & his mechanic Jason love that shop and when you walk in you say how are you doing Pat? He always says " I'm living the dream!" His shop is clean as a whistle, because he loves his shop and his customers, and he always gives us all an extremely fair rate and he does a wonderful job. Whenever I'm waiting for him to tell me what I owe, when somebody walks in that I don't know ... I say how long have you you been going to Pat? Every time over the last probably 20 years, the people always say "I can't remember. I've always gone to Pat. My friends and family have always gone to Pat ..,,who would go to anybody else, if they don't go to Pat, they are out of their minds. He's the most honest mechanic we've all ever met in our lives."!Everybody always says the same thing. I highly highly recommend Pat's shops. Take advantage of women because they think that we don't know about cars and I have had some really terrible mechanics that gave me a raw deal when I lived down in the Bay Area and I didn't know Pat yet. But when I moved up here, my best friend recommended him and I've been going to Pat ever since. My 2025 Tahoe was brought in by the dealer for paint correction due to factory paint dimples. What…read moreshould have been a straightforward repair has turned into a nightmare of ongoing issues. The shop has now worked on the vehicle three separate times, and each visit has resulted in additional damage rather than improvement. The paint has developed new chips and scratches, the clear coat has been compromised, and the overall finish is noticeably worse than when I first brought it in. In addition, the paint protection film (PPF) was damaged during the most recent repair process. Instead of preserving the integrity of the vehicle, the repeated work has diminished it. There has been little accountability for the cumulative damage caused during these repairs. At this point, the vehicle is no longer in the condition expected for a new car, and there has been no meaningful resolution offered. If you value proper paint work and careful handling of your vehicle, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

Previously, I came in for an oil change/inspection on our old car and later a post-purchase inspection on our newer vehicle. Both of those visits went well, which is why I returned when I started hearing a concerning noise. The reason for the lower rating is the communication, consistency and trust issues during this visit. There was a new front desk person. When I called and asked about the diagnostic fee, I was told $115. When I arrived, the estimate I was given to sign said $160, which was a huge discrepancy and very surprising. What bothered me was not only the difference in price, but also the way she handled the situation, which came across as defensive and dismissive rather than helpful. I then asked whether the diagnostic fee would be applied toward the repair if I moved forward, and I was told no. That was the first time I had ever encountered that at any shop I have been to, so it did not sit well with me. A staff member who overheard the conversation then stepped in and said he would try to complete the diagnostic in 30 minutes instead of an hour and, if so, would only charge half of the diagnostic fee, which I appreciated. Two issues were identified that required repairs. The only reason I chose to have the one repair done here was because I was told it was dangerous to continue driving the vehicle in that condition, and I did not want to risk taking it elsewhere first. However, because the other repair was not presented as an immediate danger, I will be having that work done at another shop and will be transferring my future service there as well. There was also conflicting information during the process, including differences between what I was told by phone and what I was later told in email responses, seemingly from two different staff members. I had to follow up by email to get clear answers in writing, and some important details were either left out initially or only clarified later after additional emails. One concern was consistency in the inspections. In less than 3,000 miles of driving, I was told the rear brakes went from 9 mm at the earlier inspection to under 2 mm at this visit. There is no plausible explanation for a change of that magnitude based on our driving. Therefore, that kind of change in such a short time raises questions about whether measurements are being taken the same way each time. The email responses I received did not really resolve that concern. I understand that mistakes and miscommunication can happen, but clear communication, consistency and trust matter a lot. When those things are missing, it creates a negative overall experience and fractures the relationship which is why we will not be returning.

He did a super thorough job and got the work I needed taken care of in a very timely manner. What the dealer thought was a simple alignment issue turned out to be bad rotors. Had Paul not taken the car on a test drive he wouldn't have been able to diagnose the issue, thus the problem would have remained the same. I was over the moon with his attention to detail on this matter. All my worries were put at ease immediately and a large purchase was made right. I came here with my new car I purchased from Enterprise. I needed to get my air conditioning…read morechecked and the Vin number etched in my catalytic converter. Those benefits were part of my package deal when i got the car. The rear view mirror cover had also come loose. I was late coming here because I lost the address. Sorry guys! However, when I finally arrived and they still took my car to get serviced. I was quoted a wait time of up to 4 hours. Thankfully, there is a waiting room and I'm a very patient person who still is going through many emails and other appointments... that'll keep me busy. As I sat inside, the woman working there with blonde hair was amazing to talk to. We talked about rock legends, rock music, Aftershock... I was almost sad even she had to go back to work. I did over hear her conversation on the phone about a program that helps you with the financial part of your car's site conditioner. I wish I knew about that last year, lol. Check out the pic I posted with this review for that info! If you don't want to wait around, there is a shuttle offered to take you wherever you want to go around Sacramento. There is also the restaurant 'Cricket' available to go eat. I just kept busy talking to the woman who worked there and another customer... and my phone. After an hour and a half, maybe 2 hours, my car was ready. They didn't see an issue with the ac. Although I don't feel like it gets as cold as a 2023 vehicle should get... my 2009 scion (RIP) would get so ice cold, I would have to turn it up. I think I would've felt better if they could've at least recharged the compressor. As for the plastic cover around my rear view mirror, it was fixed and the etching of the catalytic converter was done. They have AMAZING customer service skills and Paul, who was in charge of my vehicle, gave me his card in case I have any future questions. Super customer service skills, communication, and it sounded like a fun business to be at. Killing time was super easy
