Went last night. Parking was terrible there. Got lucky found a parking spot. Parking was tight. As for the meal not great. Ordered a Stuffie and pepperoni pizza with my date. The stuffie was cold. Ate a piece of it. Told the wait staff it was cold. And they made a fuzz over it. And what they did instead of getting me a new stuffie. The poped it in the microwave and gave me the same one back. Did not take off my check for being cold. The waitress came over and said I heard you complain about the stuffie. She was not polite at all. When I first entered this establishment I wasn't sure if they were open. Sign stated "wait to be seated" but there was no hostess around to seat my family and I. After I finally flagged someone down at the bar they sent someone over. Nice lady apologized for the wait and said she needed to sanitize our hands before she seated us (fine by us!). Below is my (personal) rating on eating at this restaurant during a pandemic. The scale is from 1-10. 1 being the lowest, 10 the highest. Staff: 10- Even if it was a bit of a two minute wait, that didn't matter. We had an attentive server, very welcoming, and didn't disappear on us. We were seated inside a make-shift patio deck that had opened windows for ventilation, that was separated from the dining area. Seating made to easily forget customers, glad we didn't have that problem! Food: 9- I wasn't too thrilled about my honey Dijon Chicken. It was cooked well, chicken was tender. It was just not something I would order again because I didn't like the flavoring too much. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't try it. It just wasn't for me. My family loved their food. Husband order wings and he enjoyed it. It was packed with flavor and well cooked. We ordered typical bar food, kids had chicken fingers and burgers, they enjoyed! Just because it's bar food, doesn't mean one can't mess it up. This place got it right! Pandemic precaution: 9- all staff wore mask, and they sanitized our hands before we sat down. Seating was more then 6 feet apart from other patrons and area was well ventilated and clean. I'm not sure if they sanitize tables after every guest because I haven't witnessed it. If I would have seen them I would have given them a 10. Overall- We enjoyed this place. I highly recommend if you want a good beer, bar food, or even to try their main dishes. Stopped in here for a pre-massage snack and ordered their jalapeño poppers and chicken fingers at the bar. The restaurant had just opened so our orders came right out hot and fresh. Both appetizers definitely hit the spot; nice and crunchy and my poppers were perfectly gooey and cheesy. The bartender was very friendly and even topped off our Gimlets with the extra he still had from the mixer. This is great neighborhood find and one of the only restaurants in the area that's opened before 5pm. read more

Came here on a Monday right at opening with 4 families after skiing. The owner(?), an older woman in a green shirt, was extraordinarily rude to us from the beginning. She continually came in to shush us, despite the fact that we were in a separate area of the restaurant and we weren't being any louder than a typical large party would be, lied about the time the live music would start, and also about a time limit on tables. There are SO MANY other fabulous and FRIENDLY places to eat in North Conway - I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here. We went to the Flatbread Co the night before and they were super-welcoming and the food was much better. The food at Shannon Door was mediocre, drinks mediocre. Our actual server, a young woman, was wonderful, which is the only reason this review merits 2 stars. read more

Our favorite place!! I grew up in the Valley and, each time we are home, we always make a point to go to the Door for pizzas, greek salads, beers and awesome live music. We are always greeted with friendly, warm faces (and occasional hugs!). This time we were with a larger group of 9 and Nora and her staff were very accommodating, despite the larger group and incredibly busy night. Even if we had a long wait, the deck was an awesome spot to grab a drink, listen to music and buy some Shannon Door gear!! We have been several times and including st Patrick's day. The most recent visit was ok, the pizza was great but some of our group tried different specials and weren't at all impressed. Regardless of this experience we still enjoy the restaurant, pub and atmosphere-st Patrick's day was a blast and we will make that trip again read more

We vacation in Jackson every summer with my husband's family. The Shannon Door is a favorite among the group. I don't know why. The pizza is greasy. They use canned mushrooms, just not my favorite place. So on Friday we go again. We order drinks. I order lemonade. More like pink water. My son ordered a root beer and was given a lemonade. They advertise on their sign out front Greek Salads. I decided to order one for dinner. It came in a a small paper bowl. Iceberg lettuce, olives, feta, dressing. NOT worth $6.99. Smallest Greek salad I have ever been served. The menu is very limited and the food is mediocre. I left starving. I hope we don't have to go back. read more

Had dinner here on a Saturday night. Shared a veggie pizza, which was quite tasty if a bit soggy. Good selection of beers, Irish and otherwise. Good live music and a nice pub ambience. My main complaint is that the hostess that seated us was the the most unfriendly person in the place, she seated us in an almost empty room at a table near the exit as if if we were afflicted with the plague and she was hoping we would leave. If you are in Jackson and looking for a locals spot, it here you go. The meatballs are frozen but the customers seem to really enjoy the pasta and meatballs. We had the haddock it was a big enough dish to share. The staff is friendly as well as helpful. We sat at the bar so we could here the two guys play guitar and they good. We defiantly would come here again. Plenty of beers on tap, prices beyond reasonable and free entertainment on Friday'- Sunday. TIP- make sure to call in advance to see if they are open. My family comes in quite often. We live 40 minutes away The Food is excellent especially the pizza and the service is GREAT!! All the wait staff and bartenders are very friendly. But last night my family sat beside the rude table in the back room - They were very demanding -- asked to be moved from porch (I think there were 12 peeps) They kept on getting in the way of the wait staff and Bussers. They ( the one lady) asked to have music turned up which the owner did but we asked to have it turned down as it was just too loud. Since 2020 people like them should be more considerate - all businesses are short help, especially in this beautiful valley - where there is no housing. This place has been in business 70 years and very seldom gets a bad review. Went last night and had a great time! Pizza is the best around!! Always my favorite place to go in the Valley. My family and I have been going to the Shannon Door for years. Great atmosphere and love the live music! Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Great selection of beers, wine and cocktails. Brendan and Renee make great cocktails and I always have excellent service. The waitstaff were working very hard to accommodate everyone, which can be hard these days when most places are struggling to find staff. The Covid situation sucks I get it. It's hard for everyone. But this isn't about that. The food was average, the pitchers of beer were nice to watch football with. Besides that my friend and I got really bad service and on top of that the server added another $10 to the tip. I'm sorry but you're not getting a 40% tip because you feel like you deserve it. We are up for a little mini-weekend getaway and were looking for someplace new to try, and that was close to where we're staying. I checked out restaurants here on Yelp and a couple other sites, and kept coming back to the reviews for The Shannon Door Pub. The recommendations I read about the place didn't let us down. We got there around 8pm on a Saturday night and the place was hopping. We could hear some great music and singing as we walked up to the door and we could smell great things being cooked too. We sat in the bar area, had a great waitress serving us - super pleasant and very quick and efficient, not just for us, for all the tables she was waiting on. The other waitresses seemed to be working the same way - always nice to see! Based on the reviews we read, we ordered pizzas, and they were delicious! We also thoroughly enjoyed the music and singing too, as did the other patrons. Many joined in the singing and it was great fun. We'd definitely go back, for the food and the live music. NOT IMPRESSED!!! I have been to many Irish Pubs... The place was packed and no one waited on us at all. There were no tables, so we took a seat on stools at the counters near the bar. NO ONE even acknowledged we were there. Asked one waitress how we order she kept walking and said go to the bar. As another yelp review writes, this is a place for the locals. Bar was packed with people that knew each other and bartender was in no hurry to serve anyone that was not sitting directly at the bar. We walked out after being ignored for over 20 minutes. Well earned star count here, from service, ambience, and food quality. To add to the list, some locals in the pub (I love running into locals) told us that the pub also is very community minded and does great charity work. We sat down, Helen was right there with our drink options. A good selection of draft beer, wine,and mixed drinks. Drinks came quickly and we ordered our food. Broiled haddock, and an individual anchovie pizza..yes I know..who the zxzx orders that! The answer is my father! The food came at the right time and was screaming hot and cooked to perfection. The haddock was moist, tender and had a delicious butter crum toping. The veg side of carrots and turnips were tender crisp and seasoned perfectly. My pizza was cooked perfectly and had the exact right amount of topping for a thinner crust. Plenty of flavor from the sauce, cheese, and of course the anchovies. Come to find out (from the locals) the crust recipe is a family heirloom dating back several decades. Great place to take the family after being on the mountain. Staff is really nice and attentive. The food is right sized, well prepared and comforty. Atmosphere is lively but family. Feels one part pub, one part tavern and two parts New England norm. Pizza is really good- one pizza was exact size perfect for my 11yo. My 13yo devoured the Shepard's pie. I had the chicken parm.
