    Size of Shawarma Sandwich

Trying this spot for the first time, and there were a lot of people waiting for orders. There were only two people working and they were super nice in trying to cook and take orders at the same time. There is no seating era yet and the place is really no frills. They had no chicken shawarma and said the wait would be an hour for it, even though we arrived an hour after they opened. We ordered chicken shish tawook, black Angus shawarma, and chicken kufta Kebab. The chicken sandwiches were so flavorful. The black Angus shawarma had a lot of chewy, fatty pieces. I would probably stick to the chicken only next time. The sandwiches are pricy, 4 sandwiches cost me $62. I would come back here as a shawarma splurge.

Don't let the current lack of ambiance fool you, the place is open and they are working on the seating area, decor etc. Nothing is amiss with the delicious food. Went in to check them out, got the chicken shawarma wrap. The owner promised its the best and when I tried it at home, it met the expectation. It was definitely one of the best wraps I've had. Really happy to have them in the neighborhood and can't wait to try more menu items and enjoy their dine in experience once its ready.

We ordered some drinks (no one got alcohol) and some appetizers. We got the Low Carb Yuka Fries and while that is not my bag, they were good. I was pleasantly surprised. We also had the roasted red pepper spread, which everyone enjoyed. Two of us ordered the Ultimate Steak Sandwich. I opted to removed the caramelized onions. The other person let them on. I also removed the garlic herb sauce but replaced it with a chimichurri sauce. That really kicked it up a notch and was good for dipping the fries in. They're fresh cut fries, so they were good on their own, but the chimichurri again kicked it up a notch. We also ordered the chicken bowl, the avocado salad, and the Greek style lamb chops. We all loved our food and were too full for dessert. It's a quaint little place, cozy for intimate conversation or a night out with family and friends. I think the night was made a little more fun when a couple came in and was seated at a counter height table and were making out all night. It was a lot and gratuitous. The table next to them were visibly uncomfortable and that made it all the more enjoyable to witness. Dinner and a show. Who knew?

The meats were seasoned beautifully and were tender, the falafel wer crisp and flavorful, and all the sides were refreshing and delightful. I was definitely surprised at how good the meal experience was, as I tend to be quite picky when it comes to West Asian/Mid-Eastern food. Overall, Pita Inn was an EXCELLENT spot to cater from! The sandwich comes with 3 falafels, lettuce and I top it off with their red spicy sauce and garlic. Every bite had a nice kick of spice and the garlic is creamy and has a not too overwhelming. The pita is good but just warmed, I'd love it if it was grilled or slightly fried over a flat top. The Falafel had a slight crispy and tenderness to it. Overall, I really love this place. And next time, I'll try the Impossible Kefta.

We did start with appetizers including the saganaki, but it definitely had sat too long - it was super flavorful but way different than when they bring it out flaming. The hostess and desk staff were fantastic- called our host by name leaving, which was a nice touch. Our server was very funny and personal, but it was a little firm over function- I felt like he was using his personality as a distraction. A few "highlights" of our visit: Dishonesty: A server lied and said there was no kids' menu (which is clearly listed on their website) just to avoid a meal substitution. When I asked about ordering chicken tenders, the server told me they didn't have a kid's menu and were only making an "exception" for my daughter. I later found the full kids menu on their website. Instead of simply explaining an age policy, he chose to be dishonest and was visibly annoyed that I even asked. Being Ignored: It took 20 minutes and multiple people flagging down a server just to get one bottle of Coke. I asked the female waitress 3 times for the Coke and she repeatedly looked at me and ignored me. It took 20 minutes and 3 family members calling out to the server to get her attention. Disrespect: The hostess literally put her hand in my face when I politely asked for a to-go bag. I politely asked the hostess for a to-go bag, she actually put her hand in my face and told me to "hold on." When she finally returned, she mean mugs me and handed me the bag without a word even after I gave her an underserved thank you. If this were my party, I'd be demanding a refund. This place makes other local diners look like five-star establishments. Unbelievable and completely disappointing. Will never be returning.
