The staff is always friendly! And no matter how busy it gets, they have a good attitude and get the order correct b I ordered the sandwich, french fries and a small container of their garlic sauce. I took it to go. The sandwich comes with 3 falafels, lettuce and I top it off with their red spicy sauce and garlic. Every bite had a nice kick of spice and the garlic is creamy and has a not too overwhelming. The pita is good but just warmed, I'd love it if it was grilled or slightly fried over a flat top. The Falafel had a slight crispy and tenderness to it. Overall, I really love this place. And next time, I'll try the Impossible Kefta. read more

Starting with the sides: hummus, baba ghanouj, sliced pita bread, and fattoush salad. All were equally delicious, with the stars being the baba ghanouj and the fattoush salad. There was also a great selection of proteins and main stars of the meal: falafel, beef shish kabobs, chicken tender, and kefta kabos. I tried a bit of everything and it was all SO GOOD! The meats were seasoned beautifully and were tender, the falafel wer crisp and flavorful, and all the sides were refreshing and delightful. I was definitely surprised at how good the meal experience was, as I tend to be quite picky when it comes to West Asian/Mid-Eastern food. Overall, Pita Inn was an EXCELLENT spot to cater from! I stopped at this Pita Inn for an early lunch. It was an enjoyable meal. I remember eating at this location about a dozen years ago. They still make excellent food. I ordered the shawarma sandwich, falafels, and a Fatoush salad. The order was ready in record time, and was delicious. The pita bread was nice and fresh, and well stuffed with meat, lettuce, and tomato. I loved the falafels, and of course, the sauces were divine. We have been here a few years ago and remember that the food was great so we decided to stop in tonight because we were in the area. My husband ordered the combination platter and it was filling and delicious. I ordered the lentil soup and two falafel and one kibbeh. Not many restaurants serve kibbeh anymore... Yesterday I came to pick up my order. I ordered through their website. Oddly enough my order was to the Glenview location not the one in wheeling. Thankfully the cashier was able to make my order at the wheeling location instead. They have the best customer service and the ability to make my order relatively fast even though it was ordered to the wrong location. I've grown up going to the Pita Inn in Skokie, but since moving to Wheeling this location is much more convenient. I often visit during lunch during the week and grab their business special lunch. It's such great deal for SO much food. It's enough for 2 meals and you get a little bit of everything. Once you walk in they have arrows on the ground still from the pandemic but it's actually super helpful when they get busy because it keeps folks in line. I just got back from my first ever visit there for lunch. The person I was meeting said "let's meet at 11:30". Wow - I'm glad we did. The place seats about 70 people, if I had to guess, and by 12:15 (on a weekday) was completely full. If that doesn't tell you the food is good - I don't know what would. I ordered the Combo Plate, included shish kabob, shawarma, kifta kabob, grilled chicken and falafel with rice and a salad. The meal tasted just like I remember.....Delicious. Ordering the pita and hummus is a MUST. The pita is served warm/mildly toasted and goes great with their variety of hummus choices. I normally stick with the regular hummus and you cannot go wrong with this. Their beef and chicken shawarma are full and flavor and incredibly fresh. We ordered the spicy chicken entree for the first time which had a powerful kick. The entrees come with rice which is VERY filling. Sandwich's are also incredible but don't come with rice unless requested. Also tried falafel for the first time EVER and was pleasantly surprised. This is a meatless option and tastes amazing. For $7.99 you can get vegetarian lunch special, chicken lunch special or business lunch special. The Vegetarian lunch special includes hummus, salad, vegetarian grape leaves, rice and 3 falafels. The chicken lunch special has two pieces of chicken breast, 2 falafels, rice, and salad. The business lunch special includes the most items which includes beef kefta, beef kabobs, shwarma, 1 falafel, rice and salad. All business lunch special and other items on their menu comes with tahini sauce, hot sauce and pita bread. Their hot sauce is AMAZING if you like hot sauces. Business lunch special is only available from 11-3pm. We have had their business lunch special many times and it has always been tasty and fresh. We have also gone during other times where business lunch is not available and ordered off their full menu. From baba ghanouj, to hummus, to lentil soup, to shwarma sandwiches to dinner plate entrees. You have plenty of options to choose from. Since I live closest to this Wheeling location, I mainly come here. My favorite is the chicken tender entree that comes with a salad and a generous portion of yellow rice. For the prices, you do get a really good amount of chicken which is not something I can see nowadays about most takeout spots in the area. Additionally, the hot sauce they have is phenomenal. I also enjoy their chicken shawarma and kefta kebobs. This is definitely one of my favorite middle eastern restaurants we have in the suburbs.
