It's a hole in the wall! This is your classic fishing community, mom and pop kind of location . However, what you lack in interior design, they make up for in food. I give the interior a 3, but the food is a 5! So they average out at 4. I had the coconut shrimp, and it was amazing! I didn't care for their coleslaw, but I'm fairly picky about my coleslaw. I also recommend the fish po'boy. As far as the lack of interior, I actually don't want a really nice interior for this kind of place. I go here after a long, hot day of fishing. So, this is a great place to rest, grab some A/C, and grab a bite before the long drive home.

    Greek Feta..Yum.

Saw the sign "Horseshoe Beach" and decided to take a detour. What a great little fishing village! We took the suggestion from the local pub to check this place out. What a pleasant surprise! My husband had the Greek Feta salad, which should be called Greek Feta Gumbo. It was DELICIOUS!! and the crusty bread to go with it...yum. I had the Seafood chowder. Also another winner. Both were full of seafood! Had enough leftover to take on the road. DEFINITELY WORTH THE STOP!

Not very impressed quite honestly. Ordered several different menu items. A bit pricy for the quality of the food. Friendly staff though!

Freshest seafood I've had in the longest time! Service was so-so, but the food made up for it. Great small town vibe!

The chicken was disturbingly small Chicken- butchered thin( less than 1/2 breast portion) The chicken not breaded, breast filet sliced served on an oversized bun, which belittles the poor chicken. When complained another breast sandwich was sent right away, but was not cooked. How can you send out RAW chicken! Chef ramsey would be infuriated! also portioned smaller than bread and full of gristle. Un- edible. Made due with over-cooked first order to appease my appetite, and not to complain a thirtd time. but both a sad looking chicken choice for the $10.99 price tag. However, our Waitress tried to compensate for the cooks poor or lack of skill: by only charging the price of the french fries. For a day of just taking a drive and finding this restaurant on the water, he view was gorgeous on the suwanee. Lovely day, nice weather and many airboats and finshing along the banks, the food I would skip. (At least the chicken) however my friend who ordered the blackened fish sandwich also a small portion of fish, but was pleased with the flavor and cook. So it may be a hit or miss type of place. The one star review is on the chicken sandwich. I guess the saying goes don't order something land when at a seafood restaurant.

Had some light rain on the way to Suwannee only to discover their "covered" outdoor seating is no longer safe due to structure issues. The staff was kind enough to allow is to sit inside. I must say the seafood was the best I've had in the area and will definitely be making the 30 minute drive more often.

As you sit in the Restaurant or in the outdoor seating area, you have a great view of the beautiful historic Suwannee River. The Service is quite good and friendly. I had a cup of the Crab Bisque before my meal arrived. The owner makes it fresh daily. The waitress said they often run out of it. I ordered the Palm Salad , unfortunately it was already gone. For my Neal I had the Fried Grouper with Fried Okra and a Sweet Potato. The food was served nice and hot , cooked to perfection and was delicious. My wife had the Fried Grouper Sandwich. With Cole Slaw. She enjoyed it very much. . On their Website they guarantee that you will not leave hungry. That was true. We had enough leftover food to bring home enough for another meal. For Desert we decided to share the Brownie Sunday. In many restaurants desserts are served up in skimpy portions, not at Treasure Camp. The portion was so large that we both ate plenty of it and brought home enough to finish off another meal. If you enjoy a rich decadent gooey brownie with a generous portion of vanilla bean ice cream, this will be the dessert for you. They also had Key Lime Pie, sizzling Apple Pie and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Treasure Camp Restaurant is well off the beaten path, but the food makes the drive worthwhile. If you have a boat you can also arrive that way. There are some cabins, but we did not look at them . A boat ramp is adjacent to the Restaurant and Store. After your meal you can stroll along their dock. This Restaurant has a Chiefland address, but is well outside the town. We drive from Dunnellon about an hour away, we were told that they have frequent diners who come from Crystal River and Homosassa Springs which is even further. Most people would not make this trip unless the food made it all worthwhile. We would definitely make the drive back here again!

We also had a small grilled redfish and fried oyster dinners with sides. Both were tasty but the oysters were the star of our lunch. The swamp cabbage was different than I've had before and it was good. We wanted Mullet Backs but they didn't have any mullet dishes available. Guess we'll just have to try it again on our next visit to the area.

Cindy our server greeted us immediately after being seated, we were seated in the back of the restaurant which allowed me to look at what the locals were eating, yeah almost every table had oysters either raw on the shell or chargrilled which were all sized large. There are lots of options here no matter your preference We both got crispy fried catfish and I added fried shrimp I opted for a side I've never seen on any menu anywhere "Swamp Cabbage" (sautéed heart of palm with bacon) I covered it with a healthy dose of Trappy's Pepper Vinegar, it's definitely an acquired taste I'm sure but delicious, we also ordered fries which came with a generous portion of thumb size hushpuppies served with guava jam. We also ordered an order of Lacy's Rockin Oysters for an appetizer, they arrived about half way through our dinner service but well worth the wait for sure, a few dozens of these would make a wonder meal by itself - everything was delicious and the prices are a very good value - a shout out again to our server Cindy she was exceptional. If you're in the area and want some fresh seafood and the freshest oysters this is definitely the place to come. The area is still recovering from the last hurricane which devastated the area but it seems all is well here...
