She doesn't upsell you on any services or products and sends you home with decent sized samples of the products she recommends for your skin--personalized for you! When I opted to buy something several months later it was easy to purchase on her website with the option to pick up in person or have her ship it. If you join her email list you'll receive notifications on sales and special promos. I recently bought a lemon zest facial brightening series that I'm so excited to start! I too was so scared and nervous because I didn't trust just anyone with my face esp. if they are going to be touching it and putting products on it. I wanted someone who understands what they are doing and doing it right. I decided to try Suzie out because of all the positive 5 stars reviews plus the sweet deal on Groupon. I think usually her facials are $99? but with Groupon they are only $50! Def. a great way to try it out. Her studio is really small and hidden in a building with only one bed but its a 1 woman operation so you really don't need much room! Its really clean and super homey inside ^__^ My experience: LOVED IT. Suzie is passionate about what she's doing and she understands. She asked me questions about my skin care if I have one, how often I use certain products, and what I am looking for during our session together. She then stepped out to let me change and get comfortable. During our session we talked about an array of random things but most importantly I was comfortable and relaxed. She answered all my questions and also kept me informed the whole time she was working on my face so that I wasn't surprise at any given time. The total time of the facial was an hour long. When I was all done, she even gave me small samples to take home that are suitable for my skin type along with instructions on how to use them. Suzie is the most passionate, caring, conscientious skin care professional I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Being a cheapass, I refused to go to her, even though my boyfriend said that she was truly amazing and her facials felt like massages. I scoffed at him and said that for facials to be effective, they have to hurt. I was wrong. He got my cheap ass a gift certificate for Christmas last year, and I made an appointment (because obviously, if I don't have to pay for it, why not). It. Was. Life changing. I had a really great experience here! I've had my fair share of facials but nothing beats the experience coming here for the first time. I find this place through Groupon 2 facials for $90 but after this first experience I'll probably come back regularly. The location is a bit tricky to find at first but it's located in this building where downstairs on the left. When I first arrived, Suzie asked me to fill out some paperwork, basically to see what skin type I was, what I want to improve on my skin, and whether I am here for recommendations or here to just relax. She was so sweet and seems like she really knows a lot about the skin. She gave me lots of tips and even samples to bring home to try out. I love that she tells you exactly she's putting on your face and that it's gonna tingle or feel minty- so there's no surprises and you won't think oh god is my skin melting off or something? I was doubtful about the extractions because they were not painful at all. I was like hmm is she not digging deep into my skin?? But I checked in the mirror afterwards and my skin was really soft and clean. After this experience I've learned that Extractions DO NOT NEED TO BE PAINFUL to be effective! read more

Just an update after a few more sessions. I wish I could give Suzie 6 stars. The quality of service that she provides is exceptional. Now, I think of Suzie as more of a friend/skincare fairy godmother. I don't want to repeat too much of what I said in the first review so I will just highlight some new points: -she is VERY affordable if you look out for promotions and discounts -she NEVER pushes for the upsell, instead she will provide you with all the samples you need -if you have acne, high frequency is your savior -she is very careful and will NEVER do anything that can damage your skin. I have skin sensitive skin so she knew to avoid the typical acne glycolic peel since she knew it would damage my skin. -her studio is small (sola), but it has everything you need there. Suzie is AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable and has a healing touch. I was diagnosed with Rosacea about 8 years ago. My option from the Dermatologist suggested using a prescriptions cream (which burned my face!) and laser treatment with a bill to break my budget as it was not covered by insurance. I have tried all sorts of "sensitive skin" formulas that I found online, department stores, several different herbalist concoctions, etc. Nothing worked, and most things made it worse. When I met Suzie, she gave me some samples of products to try, and they worked! It brought down the redness, and my acne cleared (my skin was healing!). Her facials are gentle and healing. I found Suzie on Groupon and then came here to Yelp and saw all the great reviews. My facial was fantastic!! Very relaxing, soothing head massage and delicate facial products applied. The kicker for me, was after my facial when I was heading out, she said Oh you're under eye area looks great. A lot less pufffy and dark. I'm like hmm, ok,Thank you. I couldn't see very well inside the salon. Well, I went to my car and MY GOD the difference! I had no idea that my eye area could look like that. I tend to run puffy, cuz well I'm 45, have a child and day to day stresses like us all. I also always have the dark area under my eyes due to genetics but it was noticeably SO MUCH BETTER and BRIGHTER. V Skin Care Studio is the type of place you go to not only for pamper, but really address skin concerns. When I first arrived at her space in the Massage Garage, she had me fill out a survey about my skincare concerns and routines. Before starting, we discussed my regimen and she assessed my skin under the light to determine the type of treatment I needed. She decided on the PCA Sensi peel which would help lighten my hyperpigmentation and reduce pores. She made sure to explain every step and asked how I was doing throughout the process. I appreciated that she never tried to push product on me and even made recommendations for ones she did not carry. Suzie is god send! I went in today to have a deep pore cleansing facial that would be about 2 hours. I mentioned that I was trying to get pregnant, and she quickly mentioned that we shouldn't do the facial because of all the acids that she was going to use. She didn't talk me into another facial, instead gave advice on what types products I should avoid, including items with parabans, even with laundry detergent! She also gave me samples of clean face products that she sells that would be safe for me to use now! This was my second time seeing her, it so nice to see someone who cares about her clients wellbeing and is ethical! People like her are rare to find!
