Great Experience with SMILE Agency Dental & Orthodontics I've been a patient at the SMILE Agency for quite some time, and I've seen real improvement in their scheduling and overall service. I used to share some of the same frustrations others mentioned in older reviews, but they've implemented a new scheduling system (not quite a year old, I believe) that has completely turned things around. Now they send plenty of reminders by text--which I love--and they're great about keeping you informed. From my experience as a senior patient and as the grandmother of a teen who also gets her dental and orthodontic care here, I think some of the past problems came from people not canceling properly. The office now asks that you give at least 24-48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule, and that's helped everything run smoothly. They've become very flexible and accommodating. Today, for example, Sylvia and Liz worked together to combine my granddaughter's dental cleaning and orthodontic appointments on the same day so we wouldn't have to make two trips. Sylvia is wonderful--friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. When we first signed up for orthodontic treatment, she took her time explaining everything about pricing, scheduling, and procedures in detail. Karen, who does my cleanings, is also outstanding. She's highly experienced, gentle, and always makes me feel comfortable. I never miss an appointment because I actually look forward to seeing her! Everyone at the front desk is kind and professional, and the whole office has a very warm, family-friendly atmosphere. My granddaughter and I both love coming here, and I'm proud that our whole family gets our dental care in one convenient place. I've been at this location for 6 years now and honestly these people have been dedicated to help me get the best results I want for my teeth. I appreciate how nice the ladies are at the front desk, always welcoming everyone. Elizabeth is a sweetheart and is an amazing workers as well as everyone else at this location. I also got all my wisdom teeth removed last summer and let me tell you how scared I was, but Dr, Guinns son did an AMAZING surgery. I felt no pain at all only was swollen from the face for a couple days. I felt relieved and happy that all my wisdom teeth were out. They numbed me very good and I wasn't under any anesthesia. Absolutely the worst experience. My interactions with Sylvia, the Orthodontic & Financial Manager/New Patient Administrator, made it clear to me that the focus is money, even before I'm an actual patient. I went in for a consultation, already having my own X-rays, but they insisted on taking their own. I specifically asked if I could receive copies of the X-rays afterward and if there was going to be a cost--not just whether the X-rays were free, but if copies would be provided. I was assured that I would receive them AT NO COST by the technician/nurse? When I later requested the copies, Sylvia decides to tell me there would be a $450 fee, which was never mentioned. Lack of transparency, misinformation or pure incompetence from staff. It gets worse... Sylvia claimed the doctor recommended an in-person consultation (despite knowing they couldn't treat my case which they mentioned on the same message), but now at a reduced price of $350 I could get the xrays and the consultation. Originally, it was $450 just for the X-ray copies--suddenly it's discounted and bundled. Why would I waste more time and money if the doctor who isn't qualified to determine whether my case requires surgery, says she won't take my case? I'll find another one, as long as I hear from an actual surgeon, not from an orthodontist. Then guess what! The price dropped to $250 for the X-rays alone on the message right after. This inconsistency is ridiculous. My case is surgical, and they refused to send my X-rays directly to a surgeon. Do they think I'm collecting them for fun? This place is beyond frustrating. Wasted my time and exposed my self to radiation for no reason. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I can't thank The Smile Agency enough for the time and energy they put into improving my smile and making sure I was a satisfied and informed patient. I rarely smiled before I met them and now I don't stop. Shoutout to Silvia for being so knowledgeable about the different treatment types, costs, and showing that she was invested in me and my story and always honest with me so I make the best choices for the future of my smile. And then you have the Mastermind, Dr. Guinn, who is an expert in her field, gave me spot-on advice about my treatment, and is a perfectionist so she will only give you the best. I randomly found this place online when I was thinking about getting an orthodontic evaluation for braces. Sylvia: She gave me all the information I needed about the pros and cons of getting braces. She answered all my questions promptly. She even gave me her personal number and her email so that I can call her at anytime with any questions or concerns I had. She was really nice! Technicians: They're all really friendly. If I ever need more wax or elastics, they're always willing to give me more. Doctors: Dr. Guinn is very professional and friendly. It's convenient to have a personal account on their website so you can look at your pictures, account balance, etc. I really like how they give out tokens at each visit for various things so that you can save them up and trade them in for giftcards, movie tickets, ipods, etc. :) I was really terrified about getting teeth extractions and wearing braces for 2 years.. but they've made me realize that it's really not that bad and that it can be done! Arrived at 8 AM, waited 45 minutes until I was seen for an x-ray and exam. When I asked Ernie what happened, he looked clueless and answered, "we're running late". WTH? At age 65, I was definitely the oldest client in there, but was always treated well. I started goin to "The Smile Agency/ Green Street Dental last year in September with Dr. Quinn, and so far I have had a good experience! The staff and environment are very nice and professional. They are willing to work with you financially in order for you to take the necessary steps to get that smile your looking for. My recent experience was yesterday, I had a deep deep cleaning done lol, and I like how the Dental Hygienist (Karen) guided me through the entire process from explaining what she was going to do, to pre-medicating before the procedure, checking on me through the procedure and making sure I was comfortable!!! After she quoted me for almost $3000 dollars worth of dental work, I called my insurance and they said I should only be paying $195. I called and confronted her about it and as you can imagine her explanation made no sense. She Said the person that does that work for the office doesn't except my insurance and that she can refer me to an office that does except my insurance. This is the worst dental office that I have been to in my 60 years of life. They are rude, unprofessional, and will try to take your money, even if your insurance pays for the procedure. I made an emergency appointment to have my bridge re-cemented. They tried to charge me 250.00 dollars. When I told them my insurance would pay for it, they said they would call. I stared at the front desk girl, not calling my insurance for about 20 minutes. I then called my insurance company at got them on the phone. They said the procedure did not have a cost. We came here upon a friend's recommendation. It started out okay. The staff is not the most attentive but they help you if you ask. What I really disliked was the WAIT TIME. No matter what our appointment time was, my son and I always waited for at least 45 minutes if not more. I don't like to complain and understand that it gets busy, BUT they must be overbooking appoinments if we have always had to wait over 45 minutes for an ortho check up, adjustment, or even just picking up a retainer (that literally took 5 mintues, but we waited 60 minutes to be called in). I have one more son that needs braces and will be looking for another place to go. I know that wait times will always vary, but we've never been seen timely here. read more

One was mexican, behind a desk, and talking to her was like pulling teeth, the second one, Sylvia, was flat out rude to me, shutting me up, although all I was trying to get was some info on Invisalign. They were worse than CIA about giving out the information. They are also WAY overpriced. Everywhere else I got an estimate of 4k for the procedure, when I told her, she laughed in my face about it. She also added, "That price is definitely not an option at this clinic," yet, she wouldn't give me even an approximate to the nearest thousand, saying that I NEEDED to have the consultation in order to find out. I bought a Groupon for Zoom! teeth whitening which was the only service I had done there but the staff was very friendly and made me feel right at home. They even serve fresh cucumber/orange water while you're waiting. The Zoom! whitening session wasn't the most comfortable half hour I've ever spent but the results were amazing. I jokingly said I wanted white as snow teeth thinking that it wasn't possible, but, lo and behold, my teeth turned bright white. I couldn't stop smiling all the way home. After about 2.5 years of wearing invisalign I am not 100% satisfied with results. I wore them religiously. Yes, my teeth were horrible and I like my smile a lot more now. I think I should have gone with regular or Damon braces. The ortho should have recommended them instead of invisalign, they def would have widened my smile a lot more than as is. Here's the thing about orthodontists: there are some that you can go to who will do a job that is "good enough." I know because my previous orthodontist was like that. And then there are orthodontists like Dr. Guinn, who, if you're going to spend thousands of dollars and potentially years to align your teeth; you want it perfect - and Dr. Guinn will make sure that it is. Not all orthodontists are the same; some do not have the necessary expertise to do the work she can do, and in my case; I needed orthognathic surgery to correct jaw bone irregularities which required pre and post op orthodontia. So when you choose your orthodontists, trust me; there are some that will advise you "well, in this case; it's good enough," and then there are some like Dr. Guinn who will keep it real with you and tell you to the effect of "do you want it good enough or do you want it perfect?" Personally, I prefer having all the treatment options laid out before me and consequences thereof explained before I make a decision - that's why I went with Dr. Guinn.
