The Soju in Diamond Bar is what most people would consider a Korean Bar with food and tasty dishes. The service was lacking a little since only one person was working and she was having a hard time remembering our order and forgetting our drinks. Overall the food was pretty decent it was just the waiting that was way too long. They need more staff or at least another person taking orders and a separate person taking drinks. I did enjoy the clam soup here it had a of clams. Also even though we sat inside there were actual mosquitos under our table biting us. Also, the kimchi pasta was cooked well. So experience-wise it was uncomfortable and also having to ask for our bill four times is kind of ridiculous. read more

Ordered several items and the soju sampler to share. The soju sampler tasted like artificial chemicals and flavors, not good at all. The food looks good but did not taste good. The bolgogi fries had mostly fries and a tiny bit of bolgogi. The seafood udon was super spicy and just had a few pieces of mussels and squid, no other seafood at all. The rose rice cake was also super spicy and can't taste anything else. The mussel soup was soooo full of peppers that was all we could taste. A new promising and hidden gem in Diamond Bar, California! Saw this new spot pop up on my Yelp Search and decided to just try it out. They share the same location/address as another restaurant so don't fret if you can't find the spot. All you have to do is walk to the entrance and you'll see a banner against the walk with an arrow pointing to The Soju's entrance. I would recommend them to get more visible signage or if they go with the speakeasy vibe, that's cool too. I saw this place had really good stuff and really wanted to try but became discouraged based off of our interaction. When we first arrived they only told us they had outside seating which was fine. Then we decided we would wait for inside seating, and proceeded to put our name down. However, after writing my name down they sat a party of 5 immediately inside when we were a party of 2. Once we received our table inside it smelled like they used a moldy rag to wipe down the table and didn't wipe it down all the way. The Soju has really tasty food, but the service was lacking. We walked in and had to wait by the entrance to be seated because it was busy. The staff walked by a few times and never acknowledged us or told us how long the wait was until we asked. After about 30 minutes we got seated and ordered our food. We had to flag down the waiter to order more drinks since they never checked in on us. By the time we finished eating and drinking, the place was empty, and the staff was just hanging out by the bar. Went to this very hidden Korean place in Diamond bar. Saw this restaurant on instagram and decided to give this place a try. Service was fast and the waitress was nice. We were the only party there so we been basically have the whole place to ourselves. Some of the foods were good and some are a bit on the salty side. The bulgogi fried rice: 7/10 it was good but in my opinion a bit on the oily side. Popcorn chicken: 8/10 it was very crunchy and goes well with the sauce that came with it. They are quite small though. Corn cheese: 10/10 very cheesy, the corn was sweet. Loved it! Kimchi pasta: 7.5/10 it was good but def not the best one I have had. They are a bit on the salty side though. Kimchi pork belly: 8/10 this is good, but the portion was super small and not much pork belly in there. It was just a bunch of kimchi Calamari: 9/10 it was crunchy and very flavorful Soy garlic wings: 8/10 the chicken was crispy but the sauce on it was alright. The chicken itself was pretty meaty. Bacon pasta: 9/10 very yummy and probably one of the best dish that we ordered. Very creamy. Clam soup: 7/10 not in the picture, but we ordered the soup as well. The flavor of the soup is good but they put way too much pepper in the soup make makes the soup not as good. The clams in the soup were pretty fresh and meaty. Bulgogi fries: 9/10 (not in the pic) the fries was very yummy and the sauce that they put on the fries has a little kick of spice to it, we really liked it and ordered two of them. There was a good amount of meat on there and was tasty. We also got some drinks from there. The best way to see which cocktail suit your taste is to get the flight, then you can order the regular size after. We really liked the pineapple and the yogurt one. They really used real pineapple and it was great! The yogurt one was also very tasty. Overall: 7/10 for the place. My friends and I decided to try this place after seeing their videos on instagram promoting their watermelon soju cocktail that was supposed to be served in a fresh watermelon as well as their soju cocktail sampler. Right when we got there we noticed that the watermelon soju and soju cocktail flight was not on the menu so we showed our server the instagram videos and he said that they weren't serving those anymore. He said he didn't know why and that it's his 2nd day on the job and was visibly pretty nervous so we cut him some slack. We were pretty bummed out but we looked at the menu and decided to get the Lychee Soju Cocktail. Then he said actually they weren't doing soju cocktails either. Alright now we're a little annoyed and should've left but we decided to stay because we wanted to try their food anyways. He said everything on the menu they have just not the soju cocktails...okay so we ordered one of their beers on tap and surprise! He said they didn't have any beers on tap ... funny because 30 minutes later I saw some other server that came out and gave another table a pint of beer on tap. Not a great experience. Getting into the building was confusing but we were able to figure out. To start off, they weren't fully ready to serve when we got in. We were able to select a seat which was nice. The vibes were cute and they had a little stage for performances. When it came to ordering, my coworker asked for a mojito and the server had to check if it was available, which we found out was not available. We all ordered the flight which was pretty decent I can say. We ordered Calamari fries, bulgogi fries, steamed pork dumplings and kimchi fried rice. The calamari fries were eh and had some weird cabbage ketchup pile with a tomato? Not sure why that was included. The fried rice was good and my coworker was able to eat the full thing. The bulgogi fries needed some help as they kinda burnt and dry; there was not enough sauce on top. A lot of fries were dry and no seasoning. The dumpling...where do I start? It looked like an empanada. It was also supposed to be steamed but can fried? We pointed it out to the waiter who asked to see it on the menu before she went to the chef. MUST VISIT! Went here late night with a friend. The watermelon Soju is incredible. Not too sweet, and fantastic! It's worth going just to get that. The food all tasted great! Bulgogi fries are a must. Only thing to consider is the food portions are on the smaller side for the price. The service was great, and quick whenever things were ordered, even late into the night. The ambiance was cool, and CLEAN! It was the servers 2nd day on the job and the guy didn't know anything about the menu and at one point we asked him to ask the chef a question regarding a dish and his response was "he's busy." They also did not have many items on the menu, so it was disappointing to come in wanting something their social media was displaying. Since then, I've been there about 5 times and continue to go with different friend. it's still pretty slow but today I saw it on IG and got so happy because they're finally getting the attention they deserve!! I'd say to ignore the previous negative reviews. Our server was very transparent which we appreciated. In his words. "The current staff is completely new and was never taught how to make cocktails or watermelon soju the previous staff created. The new chef couldn't make some of the items on the menu as the previous chef also didn't make the effort to replace missing ingredients that were needed in order to make the items" that lack of effort may explain the negative reviews for this place. Our server recommended the spicy calamari and matcha sake which we liked. He also said the previous staff has been let go and the new staff are more than willing to revamp the place and make it better. which shows a lot of hope for the place read more

It's a really nice atmosphere with a lot of really good food. The service is pretty on point and it's well worth the wait (if there even is that much of a wait). Overall most of the food is really good, like the Bacon pasta and the Bulgogi Fried Rice. Will definitely come back! read more

I heard this place was under new ownership so went to try it out on a Sunday. It had plenty of parking and ambiance was nice. There were 2 people working and service was satisfying. The day I decided to go the waiter wasn't sure what was on the menu because he was new, which is understandable but he really didn't know much and had to keep going back and forth to ask questions. I asked for the cocktail sampler and he said he can't serve cocktails because he's new. I asked if someone else can do it. He said yes but that the employee was on break. I told him it's ok. I'll wait. Eventually he came back and said that they're not serving them at all. I'm not sure but the whole experience wasn't great.
