The Source OC, commonly called Source mall, is a 3-story building with a variety of stores, restaurants, CGV movie theater, and other fun things to do. There is a large event hall on the 1st floor where concerts and events are held, and many K-POP related events are held due to the Korean Wave. There are also stores selling K-POP related products. On the 2nd floor, there is a large convenience store called Seoul Stop that recently opened, where you can buy the latest popular Korean products and eat Hangang Ramen, which is popular in Korea. Right next to the entrance of Seoul Stop is a Photo Spot that is a replica of Apgujeong Station on Seoul Subway Line 3. On the 3rd floor, there is a CGV movie theater (currently under construction), where you can watch the latest Korean movies, making you feel like you are watching a movie in a Korean movie theater. The Source OC is like a huge modern Korean mall which has so many restaurants, two food courts, various entertainment, and a free parking garage. I think it's a lot better than the Korean malls in K-Town which look outdated and seem to be more targeted towards the older population. At The Source, I see a mix of age groups but a lot more younger people, especially the student population. We saw random entertainment while we were there like free live karaoke sessions outdoor and a traditional Korean performance. Great place to hang out with friends & go on a food adventure. read more

There's a bathroom located near the parking garage that's maintained relatively clean. To the photos, I still stand by avoiding the food source food court ( 2nd floor). So much to do in this relatively new mall in Brea. Parking structure can be easily accessed on Beach. This is a review of the food source. A friend close by recommended this mall when we wanted to grab dinner close by. When we got to the food court on the third floor, we see that the "food source " on second floor was opened. The food court was quite busy so we opted to go to the second floor. The food option was also great on second floor. We found out that to order food, you go to the cashier on the Right most side. Then they will call your number to pick up food from the restaurant counter. This area has quite a few air purifier, and water dispenser. We loved the Katsu. It is super crunchy and came with three sauces. Each of them taste great.The cabbage it came with is paperthin with a nice salad sauce. The waiter said I could get additional cabbage if needed. Came here for lunch on the weekend. They have a food court on both the 2nd and 3rd floor. This menu is for the 2nd floor food court. It's a bit different from normal food courts cause all the food is Korean and you order at one counter and you pick up each one at the respective restaurant. No service, no nonsense, but everyone mostly cleans up after themselves. The food was tasty and filling and the dishes are huge! Decided to check out this place today I was looking for a new coffee spot. There is a parking structure with lots of entrances since this outdoor shopping area is 3 floors. Walking in you see so many little dessert , coffee, and some shopping mixed in. You can grab a quick treat and go or try one of the sit down places and enjoy a meal. I stopped in flippoly and the breakfast sandwich was really good. I ordered the ham and cheese with egg omg the egg is fluffy the bread is soft and lightly toasted I def. recommend it. I also ordered the iced dalgona it comes with some cookie crumbles or something on top I don't know what it was but it was good. I came pretty early so I didn't get to check out many stores but will definitely try to come back during the day when everything is open. read more

The Source in Buena Park is one of the best malls I've ever been to. It's v cute inside and has a wide range of food+entertainment offerings appealing to those in Orange County, such as CGV Cinema and Pelicana Korean fried chicken and Misoolkwon and Gangnam House Barbecue. I remember when it first opened it was fairly empty but now am happy to see how popular it has become! My husband mentioned this place as we were making stops on our way back to the Bay Area on a road trip. We were amazed! There are so many good food options, whether you want a quick snack or a nice sit-down meal. Plus there are beauty shops, knick-knack stores, and clothing stores to peruse. We spent a good amount of time just walking around and browsing before choosing to grab a small dinner from one of the restaurants at the food court. Don't be mistaken, though. There were tons of stand alone restaurants throughout the mall to choose from. Hot pot, KBBQ, Korean fried chicken, Korean hotdogs, various desserts, you name it! They have it all. Pre-COVID, The Source is where I used to come almost every week. I get similar vibes from Madang Mall in Ktown, prolly because of CGV and overall structure of the mall. But I like the Source much much better, plus it's closer to home in OC. If I had a tourist friend visiting, I would recommend the Source, because it lends itself to be enjoyable for people of all ages. Entertainment, food, shopping, beauty--lil bit of this, lil bit of that :) Back when this mall first opened up, there weren't many places in business. But now, I'm surprised and excited about how many new places have opened up, and are still opening up since then. Prior to the pandemic, I would frequent the CGV movie theater, dPot, Gangnam House (not anymore), and its dessert cafes. I had so much fun here in college and made many happy memories. Now, there are SO many different places to eat & shop, but I feel bad for the small business owners who are forced to close down due to COVID. I wanted to give 3 stars because the place feels pretty empty, but I primarily come here for the kpop stores, so I'm glad there is a lot of them in this plaza. There are 3 stories and plenty of parking, so just make sure to park where you want to shop. There are different restaurants, a Korean fried chicken place, an egg sandwich place, a corndog place, and more dining restaurants on the third floor. The food is pretty good and overall a nice place to hang out. There is plenty of snacks and foods to choose from for a pretty reasonable price in the OC. Didn't know what to expect coming to The Source but was pleasantly surprised by the size and amount of eateries/shops. There were many different places to eat to accommodate everyone. Some restaurants were more sit down while others are more grab and go. There was also a food court on the second floor with several vendors inside and an air conditioned space to eat. I do wish there were more tables outside for the grab and go spots but other than that, great place to walk around and eat. Parking is free (structure) which is a plus! read more

We swung by The Source for a little outing, and this place is definitely well-thought out. It's an outdoor mall, with an adjacent parking structure, and the smartest bathroom layout. The parking structure has spots galore, and there are public bathrooms located by the stairs between the structure and the mall. These bathrooms are nothing like your usual mall bathrooms; these bathrooms are freshly cleaned, fully stocked, and lack an abundance of muddy puddles on the floor (we've been twice, and each time it is a pleasant surprise). These bathrooms are conveniently located on every floor, and help reduce the general congestion/flow of people you usually get as shoppers cram towards the few sparse public bathrooms in any other mall. There was a pretty good mixture of stores vs. restaurants, but there seemed to be a lot of empty spaces (not sure if these are pending new stores post-COVID or if this is the max capacity for things to do here), with the stand-out being Primrose. After browsing a few other shops (one had a creepy pear shirt for $20 on sale), dog dad and I wandered over to check the Primrose racks. They had a great variety of casual trendy clothing, everyday staples, dressy blouses for work, and edgy jackets/coats. I nabbed a cute work blouse and a silky smooth sweatshirt for $24.99/piece, and the workers were absolutely lovely. Zero judgement about the fact that we rolled in wearing sweats and yoga pants, and they were a lot friendlier than many of the other clothing shops. Their store is definitely a place I'd like to visit again when we swing by, for both the service and the clothing options! I think this place would hit the spot if there was more to do--definitely the place to hit up if you are eating, but window shopping leaves something to be desired. Many of the stores had similar items (or the same items), with only a few standout stores (Primrose & Princeton being the ones that come to mind). The Source is SUCH a pleasant getaway from the chaos of Koreatown in LA. It reminds me of the cleaner, modern sections of Korea that were simply too cute to ignore. Compared to K-town, The Source feels like a much more curated, manicured experience, complete with K-pop stores, restaurants, and a 4-D movie theater (which is PERFECT for movies with lots of special effects). There is a plethora of dining options, from formal restaurants, to the all-important Korean food court (chaotic order and pick-up, but once you get around it, it's fine). There is a huge selection of deserts and foods, but I recommend you try Pelicana fried chicken (Koreans own this segment of chicken..... I dare you to prove me wrong), Flippoly egg sandwiches (nobody does it better), and Basilur tea house (it's sooooo old world British). Huge recommendation for you take a couple hours and visit if you've never been. I go at least twice a month from LA, and am always happy to be here. read more

Security needs to trained and CHANGED!!!! They are rude and use their "SECURITY" privileges as if they are cops. Bro you're literally not. Stop acting tuff for minimal wage. Also they need to leave the local dance crews alone. They are not disturbing anyone and it's a public area. They are respectful towards all stores. I was walking around and saw them make a dance crews move 4 times and constantly told them that the music was too loud when it wasn't even that loud and then kicked them out. Luckily that dance crew is going to file a complaint against the source's security. They also told a lady who works at the one the businesses that they need a permit to film. Mind you SHE WORKS THERE?!! They are genuinely act of control and need to be stopped. Please if you come through any issues with the security please file a complaint IMMEDIATELY!!!! All these need to do is make sure nothing gets stolen or harmful people. There is no reason for them to be walking around with slips in their hand 24/7. At the time, the food court had like 2-3 restaurants and the bottom floor had nothing. It's amazing to see what the source has become and is still expanding! I first went here in eighth grade which was about 5-6 years ago. Great place to get some Kpop stuff, personally I love BTS. I really like Jungkook. I love The Source! Ever since becoming a huge kpop stan, I've found myself at The Source nearly every single weekend. The Source is basically an outdoor mall with a plethora of Asian (mostly Korean) owned businesses. There are a wide variety of stores that sell kpop goods, clothing, accessories, kbeauty, baked goods, etc, as well as a ton of food and drink options. There's also an indoor golf/batting cage and a movie theater! They have a massive parking structure that for some reason I tend to get lost in nearly every time I visit. One of the biggest perks for me is that they have Tesla superchargers here, so I get to charge my car every single time I visit! The chargers are located between the third and fourth floors! My favorite stores are definitely the kpop stores -- kpopmusictown and kplace! Both are located on the first floor. I've been to The Source dozens of times and I still have yet to try most of the food options. They have everything from boba, tea and coffee, desserts, quick bites like Korean hot dogs and massive brioche sandwiches, two food courts, and sit down restaurants! My favorites are Flippoly (get the bulgogi sandwich), Pelicana korean fried chicken, Myungarang Korean hot dogs, and Shiho Donkatsu. Overall -- I highly recommend checking out The Source! Drove all the way here from SD because I've seen it on social media. Thought I'd check the hype of it. This place gave me a slightly nostalgia of being in S. Korea. Also, love how theres lots of parking in the structure and it's free! Love how there are lots of options of where to eat, and they have two food courts one in level 2 and the other in level 3 and a bunch of restaurants too. My friend and I walked around the whole area to see what to eat. Ended up trying Jaws TPK since we miss the street foods in Korea. I actually came here to check out the Korean beauty stores since I needed to replenish my facial goods. Unfortunately, they didn't carry all of the items of the brand I was looking for but it's still closer than flying to S. Korea. I know we can order some of these brands online but I prefer to see them in person to test it and as well as be able to have it right then and there if I like it. I'd say my trip here was worth it. Wished I had enough stomach space to try out other restaurants. The donut spot in level 3 from the Bakery or Yozm Donut looked so good. I regret not getting one. But I'll definitely be back with more stomach space to try the other restaurants. Also, some of their stores here reminded me of what I've seen in Hongdae. Everytime I go there she's yelling on the phone, yelling at her employees, fighting with her son or being rude to her customers. I refuse to give her any business. It's an outdoor 3 story Korean mall in OC. It's overall clean and pretty. Very Korean and totally opposite of vibes compared to the busy bustle of K-Town LA. We came for the food options. There are 2 food courts, cafeteria style. One on the 2nd floor and the other on the 3rd floor. There are also various restaurants too. I loved the variety of Asian food vendors. There are stores too, but they're too expensive for my tastes. It's fun to come check out and see for the first time. I noticed there were a lot of young teens/college students around. The Source OC is such an interesting place for me because the fact that there is a KOREAN mall with 95% Korean tenants in the United States is just mindblowing to me. I feel like our culture and presence is just growing and as a Korean-American, it makes me so proud. This place is similar to Koreatown Plaza or Koreatown Galleria in Koreatown, but much newer and innovative. It's located outdoors and it goes up to the fourth floor. It's filled with Korean stores and restaurants so if you want to get a feel of complete Korean dominance, this place is the place for you. I was taken aback a little bit because the mall didn't seem as lively as it did from when I came here 2 years back. The mall seemed like there were more empty tenants which was a little sad to see -- but I also came here in the morning so maybe it's a little more lively at night. As a Korean-American, I would love to see this place prosper even more.
