I have been using the spotdepot for several years. I use them primarily to fulfill my chemical needs for my hot tub. They have always been really responsive and quck to ship my items. I get things the next day because I might be lucky enough to live in the area. But I feel like no matter what, they ship things out the day of or the day following your purchase date. Recently, I purchased a pump that would help extract the water when i'm cleaning my hot tub. It was packaged in a strange way from the manufacturer. The hose was crimped and virtually unusable, or it would be damaged if we tried to straighten it out. I went through their process to file a claim, and I was immediately notified that I'd hear within twenty-four hours, and i was. I sent pictures of the packaging and the crimped hose. My recommendation to them was to just send me a new hose. Instead, they sent me in an entire new unit and said to not worry about returning the damaged one. I call that amazing customer service. I received something that was damaged, and they responded in a way that made it super easy for me. I call that fantastic customer service and I will continue to be a lifetime customer of the spa depot. read more

Purchase from this company at your own risk. I have dealt with this company in prior years, but lately they have been selling substandard products involving spa controllers. Prior unit I purchased for approx. $465. in April 2022, lasted for 3 and half years. Replacement I purchased (Same unit) cost $565. Heater unit on controller lasted only 6 hours. Cost $70. in shipping to get their defective unit back to them and getting a refund after all the hassle I have been through as been a nightmare. Don't waste your time with their tech support dept. Attitude is it's your problem and get ready for disconnected calls and no return calls to your issues. After returning the item, they stated it was defective. But only after requesting a refund (due to the late season here in the great lakes area and explaining I couldn't install until April 2026) they agreed to refund at first, but the next day they came back with some doubletalk about accessories all of a sudden missing. read more

They have never sounded like I was too small of a customer to spend the time working with and have taken the time to help me work through issues with my hot tub. I needed a new spa cover. I had gone with a discount cover manufacturer out of Florida. After several months of waiting and ultimately discovering that they hadn't even started the process, I was referred to Spa Depot by a friend in the spa business. They quoted me 2-3 months, just as the other provider had but instead the cover showed up 6 weeks in advance of the quote. This review is strictly based on a single web order that I placed. I've never been to this location, nor have I personally dealt with anybody at this establishment. I placed an order for a few long-term spa chemicals and items that I'll eventually need. The prices, quantities, and concentrations were all quite good, especially compared to some local and on-line shops. I was also floored at how fast it arrived. Even with their free FedEx ground shipping, my items arrived two days later. I understand the frustration with some of the long-term customer reviews lamenting the smaller sizes or lower concentrations than the past, and I lament the same for other items and places where this always seems to happen, such as with pre-packaged food, laundry detergent, etc. It's unfortunately a fact of life seemingly everywhere. read more

The recirculating pump on my Hot Springs tub goes out on a regular basis. It runs 24/7, draws water from the filter bay, pulls it through the heater and pumps it back into the tub. So, I guess after 2-3 years of this, the pump dies. And I have to get another one. Which is what I needed and ordered from Spa Depot. After looking at the usual gamut of part suppliers, I found SpaDepot selling the same pump for significantly less. I opted for the free ground shipping and saw they used FedEX. I don't have nice things to say about FedEX but, surprisingly, they came through and the pump was delivered from WA to GA ...in three days(!). So now I'm looking at a tub cover. And while the pump was small potato's, I'm hoping SpaDepot can be just as good with the big stuff as they are with the small. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a customer support person - ever. Edie was rude, cut me off, condesending and worse. I hope she was just having a bad day because her attitide and behaviour does not make me want to buy from Spa Depot. I am a business owner that serves the public. I know how important customer service is to business -- I have seen competitors fail just because of continued rude customer service by employees (these were businesses that did good work, but ruined the business with horrid customer communications, specifically rude and arrogant). Disappointed. Ordered a new heater for my tub. Was professionally installed and failed within a month. Had to pull out the heater and ship it back (after having a contentious call about if it's really the heater that failed ). They determined it was the heating coil after all and instead of communicating this clearly and expediting shipping (since SD sold a junk part -- which they refurbished?!), I was just rudely told that the part is already in transit.. as of this was a a typical customer service experience. read more

I ordered a part abs paid for the 1-2 day service. I knew they use FedEx which delivers on the weekends. The part shipped out Friday morning and did not get there until 8pm Monday. I called for a refund because I did not get the part in 1-2 days as told. They would not refund my $65 for expedited shipping and I have to pay to return the item. The only reason I am returning it is because they lied and it did not come in the time they told me it would. This company operates without integrity. I wanted to update my previous review of spa Depot. The electric heating unit was defective, and SpaDepot initially refused to acknowledge this and took the position that this was a warranty issue that I had to deal with their supplier Hydro quip. It had been clear that after working with the tech-support people for a day and a half, and they issued a return label that the item was defective. They did not appreciate the distinction of selling, and it is defective item and the responsibility they had to the consumer. The mailing label they sent me took the electrocuted unit back to Hydro quip who determined that it truly was defective. Is it been wired incorrectly in their manufacturing process. At this point the customer service people at spa depot, agreed to issue a refund to my credit card. I still feel strongly that it would be a a good corporate policy for them to give the consumer, the benefit of the doubt. I do wanna add that to the tech support. I purchased a life cast Rivera just over a year ago from spa depot, and I've been troubleshooting problems with spadepot for the past 6 months. They haven't been able to fix the issue, and now it is out of it's 1 year warranty, so I have a worthless $3,000 piece of plastic. They send me to the spa maker for help, spa maker (Strong spa) sends me back to spa depot. Do yourself a favor, go elsewhere and buy a nicer spa. read more

I finally got around to fixing my dead hot tub. I knew one of the pumps was bad. Ordered a replacement from Spa Depot. Great price and quick delivery. Installed the pump and everything worked fine. Turns out there was a problem with the board too. I called customer service and Brianna walked me through everything. Double checked the motor and the circuit board. Had me take pictures of everything so to be sure to get the correct parts. This was a process that required a few phone calls and emails. Brianna was patient and informative. In the end they couldn't source the circuit board. But Brianna suggested a Spa Control Kit. It looks like it will drop in place pretty easily. I ordered the Kit. Her final comment was to tell me to call if I had any questions installing it. "wer're happy to help". This is great customer service! read more

Ordered a Lifecast Monaco Hot Tub. Recieved my Cover lifter and Chemicals very quick. Also excellent assistance from Brian. I asked a lot of questions. He was patient and informative. Now for the Spa, Stairs and Cover. I will keep you all posted on delivery speed and quality and condition of items upon arrival. Update below The Monaco Spa I received seats kept warping up and were uneven. They replaced spa. Same thing happened and they forgot to hook up waterfall light. Sent out spa tech twice and Strong Industries the manufacturer sent wrong parts twice. Bought spa in January and Returned 2nd spa in June. So would I deal with Spa Depot again. Absolutely yes. Amy is a pleasure to work with. Very understanding. I truly wish Strong Industries could figure out the problem. Had it not been for the seats warping I would still own a Monaco Spa. I bought a used hot tub off Craigslist. When all the local spa repair companies let me down, since I knew it would cost more to dispose than I had paid for it, I found Spa Depot. I couldn't be happier! Their awesome live chat and email folks walked me though exactly what I needed to buy and helped enormously in the process of pulling out all the old equipment and replacing it with theirs. In the end, a guy with no hot tub experience (me) was able to completely transform what could have ended up on the junk pile into an awesome hot tub my wife and kids are now enjoying every day. And we saved a bundle compared to hiring someone to do the work. I can't recommend these folks highly enough! In looking at some of the negative reviews, I can't speak at all to covers as mine came with one, but their support, follow through and the shipments they sent me after my initial one (some pvc adapters and chemicals) all arrived quickly. To Brandon who had issues with getting his hot tub to his backyard; I don't think UPS or any major carrier ever does that; so the only possible fault with SpaDept would be in not making sure you were clear on that. $350 is the average rate to move one (I just did recently) and the other time I owned a hot tub, that delivery service would only drop curbside. But then you also must not have read their terms of service which states: "The driver is responsible for unloading and curbside or driveway delivery. It is your responsibility to position and install the unit into your yard or home. You should have help on hand to assist you.  Some freight carriers will do this for you, for an additional fee." - Again, not really SpaDepot's fault. read more

Dustin, Dustin, Dustin... I have been a customer of theirs for several years. The last purchase I made (Feb. 2019) was for a heating element and cables for my spa (totaling around $50). I ended up receiving an entire skidpad unit ($500) along with my heating element and they charged me for it. When calling to clear up their mistake, they refused to admit they messed up and were EXTREMELY rude to me. They charged me the shipping as well as a 10% restocking fee! What a joke. I have since disputed the charge and am in the process of getting my money back. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Will never use them again, and I suggest you guys do the same. I ordered a hot tub cover and understood it would take 4-5 weeks to manufacture before shipping. At 4 weeks I called and was told it had gone to 'packaging' to be shipped out and I would get an email by the end of the week. Sure enough, I got an email 4 days later stating my cover had shipped! I had been told on the phone that I would get a call from the delivery truck 7-10 days later with a drop off time. However, 3 days later, the truck arrived with my cover! No call or email. I've been a customer of Spa Depot . Com for 20 years. In that time I've owned 2 spas and purchased spa covers, pumps, ozonators, filters, and all my chemicals from them. On 3/2/2022 I purchased a 3 HP pump. A week later it was delivered and a few days later I drained the spa and installed it. I filled the tub back up and turned it on and that is when the problem started. The pump did not work right, it was very loud, not like bearings were bad but something else. I called Spa Depot.Com and that is when my nightmare started. They told me it was a warranty issue and I needed to take pictures and videos of the pump and the noise it was making, which I did and e-mailed them. They didn't want to talk on the phone , because they wanted documentation of everything in e-mails. Later I got another e-mail asking me to take the wiring plate off and take a picture of the way I connected the wires and a picture of the wiring diagram, which was located on the back of the pump when installed. I sent that e-mail. A day later another e-mail came asking that I get a voltmeter or pull the wires (red and black) off and check if the noise was there on low speed without the black wire connected and was there noise when on high speed when the red wire was not connected. Pulling these wires off when the pump is installed is not an easy task. There is not a lot of room to work with all the piping and wires in the space. It took 2 days of e-mails and multiple pictures and videos of testing with wires off and on etc. or they would not sent me another pump. They kept saying this was a warranty problem and I have to prove that the pump is bad and not my install error. Finally they agreed the pump was bad when it was shipped to me and told me to take both labels off the pump and attach them to a form that they e-mailed me and send to them by certified mail, FedX etc, because if they did not get the labels and this form they would not replace the pump. Keep in mind this pump was bad when they delivered it to me. In my mind that is not a warranty problem, it just selling a bad product and should not put the customer through all this to get what I pay for. I use Spa Depot.com because they have low prices but this same pump was at Walmart.com for only $6.00 more. Walmart.com would take the return at any of the store locations for a full refund without questions, pictures, videos, and taking the spa apart numerous times over a few days. I could have taken it out and walked into any of the Walmarts around me for a refund that same day and ordered a new one. Finally, I had enough when I was told to send the labels by FedX or certified mail and once they get them they would send me a new one, since electrical items are non refundable. So I called and ask to speak with Dave Williams , President and CEO of Spa Depot.Com and no one knew his phone number or how to get in touch with him, REALLY, a company of about 50 people and they don't have a number for him??? They said I could talk to a manager and transferred me to Dustan Moss, Manager of Operations. He talked to me like I was an Idiot, very demeaning and made comments that most of their customers are DYIers and don't know what they are doing and they were doing me a favor by only having me send back the labels and not the whole pump at my expense. Again Dustan, you sold me a pump that did not work and made me jump though a bunch of hoops to get a replacement. Take this as a warning. Do not buy any electrical parts from Spa Depot .com because if you get a bad one it is on you to prove it is bad. Next time I'll just deal with Walmart and pay $6.00 more and avoid all the hassle. I'm really liking my Lifecast hot tub, but wasn't too happy about how hard and costly it was to use it. When my tub arrived, I was hoping that they'd be able to set it up in my backyard, but I was wrong. The UPS driver was to only deliver it to my front door. I called the Spa Depot, and they couldn't help me on setting up my hot tub. I was basically screwed. After that, I called Olympic Hot Tub and they referred me to Spa Delivery Service. I had to pay $350 just to move my tub from the garage to the back yard. They have never seen a Lifecast, so I had to fill it myself. If/when I need a new hot tub, I kinda doubt that I'll use Spa Depot again. Too much of a hassle. read more

Spa Depot has always delivered and unlike the other review, they made good when an item was missing from my box. The guy I called looked up the shipping weight from shipping company and said the box was too light so he knew there was a part missing. Delivery is timely and price is fair and I always get great advice when I call for help on something. As for the missing part I have ordered a fair amount of stuff so one mistake would not drop a star considering they shipped it to me immediately after my call. read more

I got a new e850l spa in February 2015. After installing it, I determined it had a major leak. Spa depot asked me to take off the side panels & find the source of the leak. Reluctantly, I did. I discovered it was leaking at a location thay was patched at the factory. Furthermore, there were other problems, the screws for attaching the panels were easily stripped, & there were dome air lines that were pinched. Spa depot replaced the tub, but did not fully compensate me for my added costs & labor. The new tub arrived & was installed in mid-April. This is not what you expect when you get a new $7,1000 spa. read more
