Very cute, homemade gelato place! I loved how fresh everything was and they even had all their ingredients posted on a chalkboard on the wall. I had one scoop of espresso and one scoop of cookies and cream. The espresso gelato had a very good, strong flavor but the consistency was a little odd for me. The cookies and cream was delicious! I also tried the sticky rice and pistachio which were both very good. I really loved the sticky rice, I just don't think I could have handled a whole cup of it. Employees were fantastic. We live close by and on a somewhat regular basis we walk over and get things. We always get a pup cup for our dog, who is highly intelligent and absolutely knows what it means when we walk down this street! As we stand at the window waiting for our orders to be ready, she starts getting more and more excited until she can't sit still anymore. Amazing gelato in the cutest setting. Everything was wonderful from the staff to the gelato itself. While we were there, a lady came in arguing about needing a mask, which is currently mandated by the Virginia governor. I watched the poor employees and manager there get berated and verbally attacked by this woman all while taking the higher ground. These employees were so kind and sweet, so hope they know their customer service (and protection for those of us already in the shop wearing masks) did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Some of the best gelato I've ever had. Flavors like sticky rice and Guinness are amazing. Always check in with the flavors of the month or the flavors they rotate every couple of days. I can't count the amount of times I visit the area and I've come home with a quart and I live hours away.
