The wait to be welcomed with great ambiance inside and seated at our table was short, and our server, Z, handed us the menu and recommended dishes tailored to each of us. It was my first time trying a new dish, so I was a bit skeptical, but once I tasted it, I was thrilled with our choice. My friends also loved their meals. My husband got the tres tacos (chicken). He said the tacos were alright, but I don't know what you should expect from tacos from a Persian restaurant. The Kubideh was a little pricey, so I'm glad it was 2 portions, but still probably more than I'd like to spend on lunch. I wish I'd seen the lunch specials before I ordered. They aren't available via ordering through the Yelp app, but they are on the menu, so I guess you just have to call to order them. The owner creates a warm and relaxing atmosphere that accompanies the beautiful view of the Encino Commons shopping plex, especially at sunset. The owner also goes out of his way to make both newcomers and regulars feel welcomed, compared to other hookah bars I've frequented in the past. At times, you see the owner helping the wait staff with orders and chatting with the customer to make sure your experience is akin to being welcomed in someone's home. I especially love that the hookah half price before 6pm and after 1 am. The Spot has is always prepared for unpredictable valley weather, umbrellas and heaters when it's rains and umbrellas and misters when it's hot. The food is always cook to order, the produce is always fresh, the guacamole, hummus, and taziki homemade, and the drinks always bottomless. The menu offers tasty Mediterranean food for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian alike, for those with and without a sweet tooth. The Spot is probably one of the three best hookah lounges and restaurants. It's GIGANTIC. First of all, it's great for groups of any size. I have been here before with maybe 17 people and other sized groups and even if they give you a vibrating light up wait for your table type accoutrement, any size party will be seated pretty quickly. They have hookah all over every which where, a big tables or multiple tables put together, under a heated makeshift gazebo or outdoor tables at the entrance and around the top floor or inside or outside on chaise lounge chairs made for one, two, a group, etc., also with heated lamps all around. It is high energy, mainly attracting a younger crowd. The restaurant is all over the large real estate that "The Spot" takes up and the food is really good - they have all kinds of juices, too, such as Carrot juice, Watermelon juice, etc. They serve Middle Eastern food with all the typical Persian dishes and they have burgers and fries, too. They have many dessert options, as well. the menu is basically huge for everything: Pita and Feta, Berf Barg, Chicken Tenders, Kebab, even classic Arabic and Jewish food, like Dolma, Tahini, and the other dishes we all know about. You can take out, order for delivery, always has great, and pretty loud music playing. It's always a party, or a pre-party that turns into a full blown party, a nice place to go before you go to a main event, place to chill and hang out with friends, and located in the same outdoor complex that has Michael's, a Persian-Jewish Urgent care and doctor's office, and many other stores, coming from South, if you get to the U.S. Bank, you went just a little too far; although coming from North, it's right after the U.S. Bank, on the same side of the street. They have unlimited mint tea once you order a cup (they will have refill for you all night). There is no alcohol here. However a lot of other good drink options.
