Absolutely unacceptable. Awful customer service. We got here no host in the front as we approached half way through a guy average height approached us and asked us how many people. We said 3 but maybe 5. He said ok. We asked to sit inside and he said all 5 has to he here. I said forget them. 3 of us are here and we want to sit in side. He said let me check and left to come back. 3 people came after us and he let them sit inside and then told us he no longer has any sitting for 3 people. I confronted him they came after us and why you let sit before us. He said he made a mistake. I said ok how long is the wait for the inside. He said 10-15 minutes. I said ok can we sit at the table you mentioned he said no, once you sit I can't change your sitting anymore. I said since you made a mistake let us sit there out of courtesy and then you can move us. He said again no I can't do us. He told us to wait inside for 10-15 minutes. In the meantime we are waiting one set 3 people and and a couple went already sit. Absolutely uncustomary and I have never felt this much disrespected and treated badly. After confronting with the couple of them knew us. They instantly begin to apologize and trying to fix thing. It's interesting how this place works so it's an area outside the mall that turns into a hookah place at night. Very smart idea in my opinion. So I was hesitant to come here based on my friend's experience but I didn't mind this place at all! We didn't have to wait for a Friday night just few mins and got a table for 7 people. Has the shisk kabob plate and I thought it was tasty. I shared it with my fiancé and it was more than enough. I also tried the truffled fries and they were really good. My hookah was good. right spot for good Persian/Iranian food. One of the best I have been too in the Valley. Great Hummas and Beeef Khobediah here we enjoyed, and many other mixes with Pita bread. Place is great with a upscale kind of Middle Eastern vibe to it. Nice employees and so much food. We also had a few good drinks at the Hookah bar too. Been here many, many times. Never disappoints. Love the vibe, the music. We had a wonderful server who always made sure our teas were filled. Their prices have gone up over the years, but so have many other restaurants... They've also expanded their menu. I highly recommend the watermelon feta salad with grilled chicken. I have lived in Encino for more than 19 years. I thought I knew every eating spot ( no pun intended) there is but, I was wrong. Last night after returning from a concert at 1:30 am, my friends and I were starving. A friend suggested to go to The Spot. So we did. What an operation. I was shocked. Being in restaurant business myself for over 35 years, I was amazed how the organized chaos at The Spot was very similar to a well written Opus. Staff were moving at the speed of light, yet each and everyone knew their responsibilities and worked in harmony with others. Despite the full restaurant and a waiting line, our food was on our table within 20 minutes after we were seated. How???? Even In & Out falls behind on occasions. Well, the koobideh ( ground beef kabob) was fantastic. Even chips and guacamole was good. We're needlessl to say, I had to try the Barg (filet magnon). So, today that is what we had for lunch. IT WAS GOOD . In general, the atmosphere is okay and I it is a haven for the younger crowd. Price maybe a tad high, but if you want good quality food, you should pay a little more. Came here on Wednesday night with friends, it wasn't that busy when we came, after few hours it got full and crowded. The place is nice and cozy, they have nice couches and seating area. They have so many soft drinks and juices along with tea and hot and cold dishes. This is mostly outdoor seating area with heaters in the night and amazing service. The owner is checking on every tables individually and follow up most of the days of the week and he is there on weekends all the time. Never got disappointed since 2012 it's been 9 years we are keep coming back to this place . They always refill the tea and water as many times as needed with no extra fee. So we asked for a refill in a Togo cup the waiter that was helping since the first person was very incoherent maybe left for the day not sure. He charged my card for a additional two plus the two drinks and we paid for one so once that was clarified so it seemed Bobby one of the owners of this establishment came up also and I tried to explain it just to make a ten dollar transaction They tried charging for 5 drinks 1 was paid the two we actually ordered and 2 additional refills that's insane I told them to refund me I never did i put void in the receipt hope that helps read more

They have a dj that plays nice music on weekends. It's located in an outdoor strip mall in the Encino Commons. Perfect location with free parking - no frills and nothing fancy. Great prices, great portions. They do not serve alcohol which is the ONLY negative. Still worth 5 stars for all the goodness here. Keep up the awesome business! read more

I've been here a few times and my experience was good but not to the point of me wanting to post a review. This time was different, I was so impressed with my service that I had to make a review. We went around 10:30pm on a Saturday probably one of their busiest days so in a place like the spot where there's tables spreading a mile each way I wasn't expecting exceptional service, but I stand corrected. Our server was exceptional took our order right away and food was on the table promptly (I wish I got her name but she's fair skin with her hair tied in a pony tail, serving the middle section on 7/30/22) just in case management wants to recognize her. We got the spot kings plate it comes with enough protein/rice/salad to feed 2 people with big appetites or 3-4 average people. The hookah flavor was the Hawaii 5.0 and the Kardashien (highly recommend both). Our server kept filling our teas and drinks and I probably drank a gallon worth of black tea.
