Bacon, egg, & cheese Breakfast Taco Plate

Stop by for breakfast before my flight in the AM. It was 9 am so was seated without any wait. Server was nice, although service was a bit slow especially considering it's in an airport. My food was okay, nothing special. Sort of generic bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast taco on corn tortilla. Potatoes were very obviously frozen tator tots.

Pretty good spot for breakfast. The food was warm, tasty, and portions were just right. Service was quick and friendly too. Nothing fancy, but it definitely hit the spot for a simple, solid breakfast.

Nice spot to get a quality meal quickly - service was great and they had plenty of power plugs by the booths. We both got the chorizo, egg & cheese tacos. The included breakfast potato's were great - the tacos themselves were good, I wish they would have had a little more chorizo, and the corn tortillas were a little dense, but overall it was good for an airport meal. They also did a good job making it cute for being in an airport hallway.

Based on this being an airport spot (haha, Spot) i thoroughly enjoyed wasting time here . DAsia was a doll! She was attentive and always ready to offer service. I ordered wings which were delicious. It's a relaxed spot and has a quick service option. I was here on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't too busy, but I was able to observe a couple other bartenders and DAsia was hands down the friendliest and most efficient. If I'm ever in the area again and have time for a drink or snack I would definitely come here again

The upgrade of $1.50 to get 4 lousy Onion Rings.

Nice people behind the bar, service time was good, my Chicken Sandwich was a good size and delicious. I upgraded to Onion Rings and got 4! They have a sample platter with 4 different small bites. One of them is Shrimp and I am allergic. I asked if we could swap it out with more of one of the others. The answer was no. No flexibility, even for those with food allergies. Next time Ill go somewhere else when at Hobby Airport.

I had a layover at Houston Hobby airport this morning and went on Yelp to locate a good place for breakfast. The best reviews were for "The Spot" at the beginning of the International terminal. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes. They were huge. They were a tiny bit on the dryer side but still really good. I asked for extra butter and syrup which they were happy to oblige. I'm really glad that I have found another good airport restaurant. So many are sorely disappointing. Even though the prices are a little more than I would expect OUTSIDE of an airport, the pricing was very fair for being IN an airport since prices for everything at airports is high.

I was eager to try one of the new restaurants in Hobby. The spot is in the international terminal so it's nice theme for that side of the airport. It is very colorful and welcoming. I came around 8:30 pm and it was pretty empty. Service was just okay, my server was preparing for close so she didn't feel very present. The food was pretty good but airport expensive as expected. I ordered the queso and it came out a bit cool so it wasn't very dippy. The honey hot chicken was delish but half the bun was dry. I decided to ditch the bread since it didn't seem worth it. I really enjoyed relaxing in this space, the abundance of outlets was very appreciated!

My husband connected at Hobby a few days before me and our daughter and after stopping here for a burger, he told us how good they are. A few days later our daughter and I stopped in and even though I was tempted by the Cobb salad or fish tacos, I got a specialty burger and she did too. They were excellent! You can get a basic one or a specialty one. (Hers had bacon and fried onions and mine had bacon jam and fried jalapeños!) Delicious. They're served with waffle fries. Only minus one star for high airport pricing.

I was disappointed that the Pappas restaurants were removed from hobby airport. Until I found out that The Spot was going to be one of the replacements. I've loved the spot in Galveston. Now I get it anytime I'm in the international terminal! And the service is so much better than pappasitos was. The bartender at the spot is super friendly. Everything on the seafood platter was perfect. And my husband's burger was what he's come to expect from the spot. So happy to have this place conveniently in the airport.

Drink prices were amazing for the airport. I got a rum flight for $18, super good. Glass of wine was only $11. Hubs and I shared the sweet and spicy burger with onion rings which was excellent. Kayla was a phenomenal server. She made recommendations and was there with perfect timing. My water was always filled.

Wouldn't let me change my order when the order had just got sent in and not paid for, I should've walked out then. All I wanted to do was take an eggroll and biscuit off but u can tell she was money hungry. She was very rude and just was rushing for the money. That instantly made my husband mad. Anyways not only was the lady, I think her name was Mama D rude she put the order in wrong. I was there at 3:50 ish so I was just in time for happy hour at 4, so I waited to order my drink. She didn't want me to order it to go for whatever problematic reason so I told her I didn't want it bc I knew I couldn't finish the margarita that quick. She told me my food was gone take wayyy longer so I said ok I'll have a drink while I wait. The food came out and I was like I knew that was gone happen. Didn't even take one sip. She had an attitude bc not she had to give me the to go cup. Mind u the cups aren't the same she filled it up half way and said it's on special like I shouldn't be questioning why it was half full. Still left her a tip bc I support Black Businesses. Order was still wrong. . Just rude for no reason. The shrimp were good. I ordered hot lemon pepper it was mediocre. She was also rude to the ppl that walked in telling them where to sit. Business minded ppl would've had it blocked off or something. Would not go back bc HOUSTON has good food all around and customer service is mandatory! Be humble!

Nice cozy place, perfect setting for fried chicken. I am sure they had other stuff, but that was the mission for this visit. Started with fried pickle spears, probably the best I have ever had, no joke. Perfect coating, taste and preparation. I like the spears vs the chips. Had the special which was to legs and two thighs for the price of the 3 pc dark. Beans and slaw. Ok, the chicken was great, moist, seasoned, very well cooked. I will go out of my way to go here for the chicken. Beans, canned with a little flavor added, nothing to brag about the slaw was pretty good. The fries on my friend's plate looked great. Perfect. We got here at about 1145, the place was busy. By 1215, it was packed, but they move people through and do a booming take out. Try it, you will like it. It satisfied my fried chicken desire and. Am set for a bit, but still want to go get more!!

I enjoyed their fried chicken, which for around $12, came with a thigh and leg, along with ample amounts of coleslaw and fried okra. Even I, as a voracious eater, could not finish all the sides. The chicken itself was beautifully fried in peanut oil, and truly one of the best, juiciest, fried chicken pieces I have ever had. This place is an example of simplicity at its finest. If you are in Houston and craving some down to earth fried chicken, Gus's is the place to go!

First, I noticed that the staff handling food behind the counter were not wearing gloves. Hygiene is important, especially when preparing and serving food, and it was concerning that no one appeared to be following proper food safety practices. At that time, the rotisserie was already being cleaned, which told me they had stopped preparing fresh chicken for the day. Instead, they were serving pre-cooked chicken kept in a warmer. As expected, this made the chicken dry and hard on the outside. I ordered the 1/2 dark meat chicken with yellow rice and Tequeños. However, I was given two small leg quarters and an extra piece of white meat--which I didn't ask for--all of which were extremely dry. The portion size has noticeably decreased as well. I was also very concerned to see them using spray cleaner near the food, which poses a risk of chemical contamination. On top of that, the Tequeños were extremely dark and tasted like they had been refried, nearly burnt. Adding to the poor experience, one of the girls behind the counter was playing around and massaging her coworkers while customers were being served. That level of unprofessional behavior is not something anyone wants to see while waiting for their food. I've always liked this place for its fresh rotisserie chicken, but it feels like DoDo's has started cutting corners on both food quality and cleanliness. Paying $19.52 for this meal just didn't feel worth it.

Despite having my contact information, they provided no courtesy call or cancellation notice. Save your time and money--go somewhere that actually values its customers.
