Grabbed breakfast at Yard House during a layover and it was such a win! We were seated quickly, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Miguel, our server, was super friendly and attentive the whole time. My eggs were perfectly scrambled, light & fluffy, the bacon was crispy, and the potatoes were seasoned just right. Plus, it came with toast and a fruit cup, which was a nice bonus. Definitely a great spot to fuel up before a flight!

A very surprising opportunity to check Yard House out in an airport. This is the first I've seen and it's at the Hobby Airport in Houston. The wait was somewhat substantial on a mid day Sunday. Not really shocked at that considering the brand of the restaurant. The host was nice enough and put my wife and I name down saying it found be 25 minutes. We were not in a hurry. We did scope out potential seating on the bar, but it did not work out. After about 10 minutes and several names called that had bailed we were seated. The service was pretty prompt considering they were slammed. Our waiter was efficient and nice enough getting our drink orders, then food order was placed. We were both in the mood for burgers and fries. Although the menu is scaled down it's solid. Drinks cranked out quickly. Considering how busy they were I timed how long it would take for food to arrive. It took 26 minutes which was not bad for us, but may be for others. Everything was correct, hot and really delicious! Although no follow up was needed there was no follow up. This was the only blip on service. Checkout was a bit more complicated using meal vouchers from Southwest. The server said they had issues with a hard copy voucher versus a digital. Ultimately all was resolved. I would absolutely recommend Yard House in the Hobby AirPort. Clean restaurant, delicious food and solid service.

Pleasant surprise to see a yard house in the Houston airport, especially serving breakfast as that's not their normal thing. Breakfast menu was decent in terms of selections and food was really good. Also came out quickly and servers were on it. Great little time killer in the airport!

Stopped here during a layover and it was decent. The tables are a bit cramped, but the staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the breakfast potatoes, which were good but could have been hotter and crispier. Would I stop here again? Probably, if I needed a quick bite. The service was fast and efficient, which is exactly what you want in an airport bar.

My husband and I stopped by Hobbs airport for a layover. Boy was I happy to see a Yardhouse here! For such a small location they still have a great selection of options for drinks and food! The hostess did a great job informing us before hand of a wait due to system being down so we were fully expecting to wait longer to seat and for food items. Our server Anthony gave EXCELLENT service. I could definitely tell they were a little stressed out but they handled everything perfectly!

If you're flying out of Hobby and want a spot that actually feels like a place to hang (not just…read moresurvive), The Rustic Houston Hobby is such a solid find. The bar space is perfect for getting work done, grabbing a drink, or just easing into travel mode. Comfortable seating, plenty of outlets (huge win), and an overall vibe that feels more like a real restaurant than an airport stop. Music was also on point! Food-wise, it definitely exceeded expectations for airport dining. I ordered the spicy salmon Caesar and fries. The Caesar dressing was the standout-super flavorful with just the right kick. That said, I actually think it might be better with chicken instead of salmon. The fries had a great consistency and texture crispy outside, soft inside, but weren't anything super memorable. Service was great, which always makes a difference when you're traveling. Friendly, attentive, and efficient without feeling rushed. Overall, a really great pre-flight spot that I'd happily return to-especially for the vibe, a drink, and that Caesar dressing.

I've heard mixed reviews about the other Rustic locations but we both decided to give it a try. We were able to sit right away. Service was great- our server was awesome and so accommodating. We started off with the jalapeno spoon bread which was just ok. I probably wouldn't get it again since it was mushy and just not that good. I had the spicy salmon Caesar salad, and my mom ordered the cedar plank salmon. My salad was bomb. The fish was cooked perfectly, and you can't go wrong with a good Caesar. My mom did not care for the cedar plank salmon since she thought it was a bit plain. It didn't come with sauce, so she asked for lemons to add some flavor. Our server suggested we try their shakes for dessert. We got the banana pudding shake and the peanut butter shake, which were good but so rich. Probably could've done without them too but it was good in the moment.

This is precisely why I love it. Places like this can only exist in major Viet diasporas like Houston (#1) where a space has been transformed into a place that operates like a sports bar, a lounge, a family destination, and a Vietnamese pub menu that all at the same time. This phenomenon deserves its own category and name (#2) but is more common than one might think. As noted earlier, this place is enormous. It might not look like much from the outside, but the place is sprawling with a copious amount of chairs and tables of various sizes, along with an outdoor area that really add to the overall feel of the place. There is a large bar with a several bartenders, TVs and projection screens with sports and music, and bathrooms that reek of desperation. (#3) The food skews heavily Viet but I was somewhat surprised at how legit the pho and banh mi was, at least for a bar. They also have a number of plates for mi xao (stir fried rice noodles), com (rice plates), lau (hot pot), sinh to (smoothies), and dedicated sections for chim cut (quail) and de (goat). I was also taken aback by the prices, where banh mi is $5 and pho is $11 (except the $13 dac biet) and coffee is $4.99. Booze was also in the same realm as cocktails and beers varied between $3-9. Nothing about the food that I was able to sample was destination worthy, but I'm not mad at it. Affordable variety goes a long way. If there was any real drag, it's the inconsistent service. The staff can be a little too lax at times, where they're slow to bring things out and somewhat inattentive. Viet is the preferred language naturally and parking is either on the street or in the lot directly across the street. A good time can be had here, which I would suggest for a large group. There are heaps of local families that are coming in for a feast and always a small number of Viet uncles going hard on the Heineken while watching sports on TV. With good company, s'ok food, and a festive ambiance, it's guaranteed quality people watching. __________ (#1) Or San Jose, The OC, Portland, etc. (#2) House of Chu Hai? (#3) And then some.

You take a right on the feeder and a left into their gate parking. The outside can be slightly discouraging, though the space is absolutely incredible. The food was amazing, the servers were attentive, kind and respectful. They have two areas, one for inside dining and one for outside. My SO and I opted for inside as it was raining heavily. In most corners of the place, there's windows. As you can imagine, with the nature of the scenery, the rain made this place more magical. The food was great and afterwards, we went outside. The entire space is beautifully put together and is overall very grounding. Keep this place alive, visit and tip well! Imo it's one of the few golden nuggets left in htx that's still standing.

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

I was really impressed with the amount of items on their menu and know if I lived anywhere close my bad would be wide and my blood pressure high. The workers were very kind as well, I made a change in my order nearly 5mins after I ordered and they were gracious in accommodating my request which I very much appreciated. We had: Strawberry cheesecake Açaí bowl - 10/10 - it was perfect in every way. Bits of cheesecake, granola, strawberries and a drizzle of honey. This bowl alone could feed two people and three wouldn't be a stretch. I also had a strawberry vanilla soda type drink that I wish I got a larger size of because it was so good. Think a float without the thickness, it was refreshing and unique. Caramel Pecan Dream - wow 10/10 - it was so RICH and the consistency was amazing. The little bits of pecans were the perfect contrast to the creaminess of the shake itself. Burger and sweet potatoes fries - 10/10 - they do classics well too, no real notes but it was delicious.
