So right out of the gate we're not doing well. Once the soup got here, they redeemed themselves. French onion soup was delicious. Lots of onions, perfect amount of cheese, croutons were seasoned well. Now I will say, the pretzel was ok. The honey horseradish sauce they served with it though? Outstanding. I'd eat that by the spoonful. Be careful though, it DOES pack a punch. I had the Corned beef on light rye and my wife had the tuna sandwich. My bread was nice and soft, well flavored. The corned beef was delicious as well, even though it's just a sandwich. Hers? She liked the tuna, but was skeptical about the bread. It was a bit more firm for her liking, but she DID ask for French bread. Didn't take away from the fact it was excellent. Potato salad that came with it? Meh. It's potato salad. Nothing snazzy about it. But it was still appetizing. Just wouldn't say it's out of the park. Overall, I'd like to try a few more things from the menu as they have a range of delicious items. Nice establishment, friendly people, and nice atmosphere.

The service was fantastic all night. And the food. You get what you pay for, truly. This is a nice spot and the food is drool worthy. It's plated so nicely, everything was cooked to perfection, and they did a great job of complimenting sides with entrees. The cheese curds were also unique and fantastic. If you're in the area and want a dinner you know will be good, this is the spot.

We had the cheese curds for the appetizer and my husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the crusted chicken. All of our food was absolutely delicious- served hot, and perfectly seasoned. My husband commented that it tasted like a chef was in the kitchen. Think metropolitan, high-end restaurant quality food! Prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality. The ambience is charming yet fresh and modern. Very clean. I would suggest to dress resort casual or nicer for an evening meal. The service was attentive and welcoming. There is room for a large group. Outside seating is available, but I wouldn't recommend because it is near a busy traffic light which would detract from the experience. Don't hesitate to try the Courthouse Pub for a delicious, memorable meal.

We sat at the bar and quickly waited on by Darrel who is bartender and owner. There was a specials list for the weekend, New York strip; ribs and prime rib. The prices are a little high but what we seen the servings almost justified the price. We weren't quite as hungry to justify a steak or rib; thus we went with a side salad and chicken steak/w side salad. The salad was decent size and the chicken was covering over 1/2 the plate. My wife had just a salad. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. The sauce is a secret sauce of the bar! Drinks were good and priced well. While we were there I seen an order of ribs by a patron; they did look really good and by what I could tell he liked them but he couldn't eat them all. A patron sitting next to us ordered the prime rib; its smoked prime rib and flash finished over the grill that doesn't affect the finished doneness. It was huge at about 1" thick and done perfectly inside to the patrons delight. It's $40 but probably won't finish it all. Definitely when in the area will stop back.

Immediately we saw a large set up of music west of the building. The music was decentish and classic rock. The doors next to the bar were open. We needed to go all the back, the furthest table away due to the volume. The flights are $20 for five 4oz pours. That's maybe a $1 more than I'd expect with economy of scale. Most flights are also only 4 pours so it isn't much more per ounce. If you don't get the barrel aged maybe not a good deal? Anyways we got 10 beers. They label each glass with the beer's number on the menu. Super helpful except I wasn't seated near the menu so I took photos. Bourbon barrel scotch ale I gave a 4/5. Vulgar Display Hazy Pale - Ironically this double dry hopped pal ale tasted most like a traditional non fruity ipa of all theirs. I would like to taste this without dry hopping. 3.5 Freaky 220 dangerous for a 9.75%. Drinks like a 6%. Not that hoppy. 3.25 The rest I rated a 3 or lower but I'm not into sour types. When the night meets the day should not have been a nitro.

I walked in on a Friday night for a classic MidWest Fish Fry and heard Fat Seagull was one of the best. Right when I walked in I was met with a fun atmosphere full of people both at tables and the bar laughing and just having fun. There is no host stand or designated waiters so just grab an open seat and someone will be with you shortly. I sat at the bar and was greeted within 30 seconds by one of the bartenders, asked what I would like to drink, and was offered a food menu. I ordered a Spotted Cow and Diet Coke to drink then placed a food order of the Combo Fish Fry Plate. The plate included generous pieces of fish (5 total) of Walleye and Perch, slaw, rye bread/butter, fries, and sauces. WOW was the food delicious, I loved the perch and rye bread...I would be very happy with just that! Beyond the food and drink, the people working and eating/drinking were just so nice and fun. Sitting at the bar, I struck up a conversation with a couple different people and to my surprise was met with great conversation. I was visiting Manitowoc for work and found everyone I talked to at the Fat Seagull was so happy to have visitors and welcomed me with open arm. Please make sure to add Fat Seagull to your list when visiting Manitowoc, this is a must see place!

This place is advertised as gastropub food, which is intended and designed to be quick food to make. My inclination is that they wanted us to wait there as long as possible to keep ordering more drinks. It took so long I thought the chef had quit mid shift. Food: underwhelming and average. Nothing you couldn't make at home with minimal effort. Tasted greasy. Even if it was good, I couldn't have appreciated it because the wait was SO long I was starving and dizzy from low blood sugar by the time it arrived. Unacceptable. Will not go back and would not recommend. I'd only recommend in the event you're practicing intermittent fasting or on an intense diet.
