Great food and great service! My daughter and I came here for her tennis tournament and we found this place based on Yelp reviews. It is traditional and has a countryside style feeling and scenery and has amazing food.

Stables is a diner-like restaurant. The food is pretty good, I had a Belgian waffle, and my brother got French toast. I was pretty good, I just wished the waffle had more flavor, same thing goes for the French toast. They offer at every table a holder for tea packs. They had good choices including Apple cinnamon tea. The staff here is very nice, and get your order right. Parking here on the weekend in the morning is a pretty hard task, with almost every spot filled. The ambience inside is just like their slogan, "Country Cooking". They play old country music and gives off a diner feel with the bar area with seating in spinning chairs. Overall a very good experience, recommend coming here if you're in the area.

This is a very cute breakfast spot, tucked behind a huge parking lot! The waitresses were very nice and relaxed - our table was on the short side of the counter, and she took our order from over the counter wall divider. (Work smarter!) Even as they got close to closing, they didn't force us out (although we did get out the door before they closed). The best part was the food though - amazing hollandaise over corned beef and corn bread! I cannot recommend this enough, it was a smooth sauce and the flavors went well together.

Looking for a quick bite? Check Friendly to your wallet? Check Parking? Check Attentive staff? Check Good value, fast and quick. Entire restaurant looks full of locals, that is how you know you got a good dive restaurant. Food is fresh because of the turnover with so many customers. Many versions of breakfast classics. I came for breakfast, but they also have a lunch menu. My plate of three eggs, toast, coffee, hash, sausage and bacon was just under ten dollars. An excellent value.

Awesome breakfast spot and always worth the wait! Just needs some improvement with the parking lot, landscaping, and aging interior.

I swear the woman could read our minds, anticipating our questions. Now to the food. We started with fried brussel sprouts. Huge portion. Flavorful, not overcooked, just the right amount of crispness...and those bacon pieces!? Yum. I had the chicken wings and a beet salad. I'm a Buffalo, NY native folks, and thus have had my share of great chicken wings. Johnny's wings were on par with anything I've had in the Queen City. My only suggestion to make it real Buffalo style is thick blue cheese dip. The other meals served were amazing - two pasta dishes and the fried chicken. All tasty. Everyone loved their dishes. The prices were very fair for the quality and quantity of food brought to the table. I'm surprised at the 4.1 Yelper average. The meal and service we had tonight was excellent.

The cocktail list is equally impressive, with well-crafted drinks that complement the menu nicely. What really sets Homestead apart is its consistency and attention to detail -- from the quality of the ingredients to the comfortable ambiance and polished service. It's the kind of place that feels special without feeling pretentious. If you're in Northampton and looking for a restaurant that blends farm-to-table quality with a welcoming atmosphere, Homestead is absolutely worth a visit.

While our table was being set up outside, we enjoyed a drink at the bar--the 15-minute wait was absolutely worth it. The outdoor setting was beautiful, with greenery creating a relaxed summer vibe and live music playing under a small tent, adding to the atmosphere. Our server was equally delightful--friendly, attentive, and spot-on with recommendations. Now, the food: outstanding. We started with the beets and peas salad, which was bursting with flavor--our plates were practically licked clean. The house arugula salad was crisp, fresh, and perfectly balanced with a light, lemony vinaigrette. For mains, we shared the roasted half chicken and the bucatini. Both were phenomenal. I rarely order chicken at restaurants since it often feels too plain, but this one was perfection--crispy skin, juicy meat, and seasoning that carried through every bite. The bucatini, made with homemade pasta and loaded with crispy pancetta, was absolutely irresistible. We couldn't resist finishing with the "Little Mason Jar" dessert, which was indulgent and delicious. Everything--from the service to the food to the ambiance--was exceptional. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to the area

Our table was as requested and a wonderful familiar server took excellent care of us. We ordered the Restaurant Week menu and added a bottle of wine and two salads. Our cold asparagus soup was delicious. Unfortunately, the entree was poorly prepared. The fish was badly overcooked, and the vegetables were burnt. When our server came by to ask how everything was, we answered honestly that the fish was very dry. We added that we had had much better fish dishes there before but it was fine. Our server went to his manager to share our answer to his question of how everything was. The manager came to our table and said "I understand that there is a problem here". We showed him our plates so he could see for himself. He asked if we wanted the kitchen to redo our entree and we said no. When we were presented with the bill our server apologized because his manager said there would be no adjustment. We never requested an adjustment! We never asked to speak with a manager! My wife and I are not con artists looking to get freebees. We simply gave an honest answer to the question asked of us. If we had a problem that needed to be corrected we would have made a request to do so. The fish was very dry and not very enjoyable. When asked if we wanted a replacement we said no thank you. We never asked for anything. We chalked this up to a less than stellar meal at a restaurant where we had enjoyed stellar meals in the past. It is most insulting to be treated like hustlers looking for something for free.

I wish I remembered which we did but they were all very good. Next came the calamari with hot honey. That was eaten up pretty quickly as well! Highly recommend. Entree wise, I ordered the Seared Scallops for myself, and the other party goers had the Lobster Roll (which comes hot, not cold), the Seared Tuna, and the Casarecce Vongole. At the end of the semester I usually have quite a few YCMP swipes left so my friends and I splurge by using them up on "extravagant" meals at UClub. The menu in my opinion is definitely on the pricier side if you were to spend your own non-prepaid money, but it is an upgrade from the regular Dining Hall mass-produced meals. Plus it's in a charming blue old-fashioned house, apparently the oldest in Amherst! Most if not all of the servers are UMass students so I didn't factor any expectations for the service.
