I pulled up my email and showed them and they said "we'll get you seated asap". It was then they tried to put us at a table near the elevator/host stand. We politely asked for a window seat instead, which we were given. The views are not like in the photos. They have tint on the windows so you can't see the mountains if the sun is shining in. I'll post a photo of what it really looks like below. Anyway, we had to wait 15 minutes for our very sweet server to take our order... and then about 40 minutes for a kids cheese pizza, a pepperoni pizza and a salad. My salad was god awful. Overdressed with soggy, mealy watermelon and bruised strawberries. The pizzas weren't much better, too much crust and too much grease. Getting drinks refilled took forever because they were slammed. I would not recommend.

Mistakes happen, but we were surprised that there was no apology, and the response felt very dismissive. Shortly after, while we were cleaning up, she came back and sprayed cleaner on the table but accidentally sprayed it onto me instead. Again, there was no acknowledgment or apology. A few minutes later, she brought out a replacement drink, but it was the wrong one. When we pointed it out, there was some confusion and we were initially told it was correct before another staff member came over and brought the right drink. Unfortunately, the food was also a letdown. The bison burgers were extremely dry, and the ribs were so tough and chewy that they were difficult to eat. We were really hoping the meal would make up for the service issues, but it left us disappointed. Given the issues, we expected the spilled drink would at least be removed from the bill. Instead, we noticed additional drink refills on our tab that we didn't order. Overall, it was a frustrating experience, especially because we had been looking forward to trying this place. I was starving and ordered the Buck Hunter because I wanted to try something with elk in it. This elk & bacon burger patty comes loaded with condiments on a brioche bun. I really liked the tasted of the smoked mayo on my burger. I also got a Broccoli Cheddar Soup on the side. Banded Peak Brewing is a popular beer made in Alberta that is named after a mountain in the Canadian Rockies. I grabbed their Amber Lager to pair with my dinner. There is a fun lively atmosphere here at Elk & Oarsman. I was only here for brief time, but enjoyed it. This is a solid place to check out if you like sports and good food.
