First, it has probably the best selection of beers on tap in the city. Second, they have lots of TVs that were all tuned into various games of college football. It was incredibly nice to have a solid selection of beer and to be able to watch all of the relevant college football games. Now, it's not a particularly big spot, which adds to the charm in my opinion. And they don't have their own bathroom. You have to walk a bit. But none of these are even remotely deal breakers. I will visit Helen again in the relatively near future and this place will be on the agenda.

It was a sweltering day outside and the A/C and cold beers were definitely a welcomed sight. The owner and staff we spoke with were so friendly and gave my brother in law (who will be close by now) the run down on upcoming Oktoberfest events and when the best times to visit were to avoid the insane college weekends. We had one of the most delicious pretzels I've ever consumed and I took precisely zero pictures of it because it didn't last long. Inside the shop is small but they have a big beautiful outdoor seating space with games at each table. We look forward to visiting again in the cooler months and checking out their sister store up the road.
