Reservations are a must, it is due to the small amount of tables and intimate seating. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Our waiter Richard was well versed on the specials and helped us make great choices. We went with the lump crab avocado and mango tower for appetizer, beef Wellington and red snapper for entrees, sides were roasted brussel sprouts and lump crab risotto, and the maple butter cake for dessert. Service was fantastic, all the flavors of the dishes were delicious and everything can be shared due to the portion sizes. Price range for dinner without cocktails was $275 for 2 people.

February 14th heart day, a Monday evening "GALentine's" FYI---please note for those who don't know Because they never mentioned (upon initial RSVP) nor the 3x after I called to update it, that on ANY HOLIDAY they ONLY have a (as the French say) prix frix aka table d'hôte menu (set menu) for that day/evening. Ok, so on that I continue... John, the maitre d (let me say first) was professional and friendly, love him. When we realized we only had the $150 four course meal to choose from, it was surprising. Soo, after a few minutes of back and forth with explanations from John and choices between myself and my friend, we were going to have a glass of wine here (extensive list) but, go to their other restaurant in hotel, the Grotto to eat. After we ordered the wine, John's final answer: we could order what we wanted off the 4 course menu. Cool. This restaurant is fine dining, so it had that wood interior, conservative look like most (dim lighting, candles, small, intimate and quiet) Richard (waiter) was nice but, after his first introduction, that's the most he spoke the rest of the night; just not a conversationalist, zip...nada. We got 2 courses each (see menu) prime filet with lobster $120 lobster bisque $17 salad $17 prime ribeye $95 resiling chateau Michelle merlot 14 hands served with fresh bread. It was ALL delicious. Cooked as ordered. Hindsight: for me, it would have been cheaper to have gotten 4 course. Lesson learned! Will try the Grotto next, looked like it had a good vibe

Sat at the bar to have dinner. Service really slow. Finally got a couple of drinks and ordered a couple of appetizers. Fried artichokes were delicious and served hot. The bruschetta however could not even be cut with a knife. Ordered a 12 ounce filet which was cooked to perfection. However the side dishes were cold. The kitchen manager came out and discussed it with me however I just took it to go. I have a microwave at home!

The food is incredible and the service is superb. You never have to ask for anything. The waiters are so kind, helpful and solicitous that your water never gets below 3/4 full. But the food. The food is in a league of its own. The best food we've had anywhere in recent memory. My husband got oysters and steak. I got shrimp cocktail and stuffed shrimp. The sides are for sharing and incredible as well. We had risotto and scalloped potatoes. Oh and a wedge salad. We had tons to take home. Don't forget dessert. Crème Brûlée is our go to. But this time was my birthday and they brought me a beautiful slice of cake that was apparently made in heaven. Highly recommend!

So other than the service being a little slow, the place was really cute. The ambience is amazing. I love the big chandelier. It gives you old-time rich vibes. Their menu has different options. They do have a vegetarian portion. The samosas were kind of like beef, taco mimosas that's what it taste like to me. They're red fish was really good cause the crab crusted on the outside and the sauce mixed together. I definitely recommend getting that if you like fish. I got it with a side of mac & cheese. It does come with veggies, but they let you change out the side. My mom got the margarita pizza and I've had pizza for sure but they do have five or six options of pizzas to choose from. And all the best thing was the bread pudding. Definitely get that save some room. It was warm with ice cream and the perfect bread pudding. I've ever had get it. There is street parking after six. It's free. There's a garage parking too. I don't know how much it costs. Besides the service, everything was really good. It took them a while to fill up our waters, but I did notice they were shortstaffed.

The restaurant is small and intimate, with a nice-sized bar near the entrance that makes for a great place to enjoy a drink before dinner. One tip: be sure to pay attention to the dress code. We saw guests turned away for not meeting it, so it's definitely enforced. The service was absolutely spectacular. Everything was perfectly synchronized--from the drinks arriving and set on the table together, to each course being served in unison, to the timely clearing of plates. It's the kind of attentive, polished service that has become increasingly rare. We started with the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, followed by the empanadas. They were all good, although the shrimp empanada wasn't my favorite. For our entrées, we had the salmon, the filet, and the lamb chops. The salmon was perfectly prepared, the filet was so tender it practically melted in your mouth, and the lamb chops were some of the best my husband has ever had. With exceptional service, outstanding food, and an elegant atmosphere, Rudy & Paco's absolutely lived up to its reputation. We'll definitely be back. Just be sure to plan ahead for reservations--and don't forget to follow the dress code!

We were there for our 27th wedding anniversary and were pampered by the staff all evening! The cuisine is Nicaraguan-inspired seafood and proteins, which I was not familiar with at all, but everything we had was delicious. The meal begins with fried crispy plantains with two different dipping sauces that are heavenly. We chose the empanadas for our appetizers, then I had the sea scallops while my husband ordered a seafood pasta dish. The restaurant is quiet and elegant, but not at all stuffy. They treated us to cake at the end, which is the only thing I got a picture of (sorry!!) but I so recommend this restaurant!!

I always appreciate when staff is excited about specific plates. The trip was dynamite. The sauce was TOO GOOD. Like, we wanted to drink what was left. 5 stars just for that. My wife loved the oysters. The lobster roll had quite a bit of lobster in it. Super buttery and filling. Solid fries. This was a very pleasant stop on our trip.

Our lunch was absolutely delicious. Here's the rundown: 1 appetizer of ahi tuna won-ton, 2 raw oyster samplers, 2 Galveston Island Brewing blondes, 1 dirty gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, and one to-go bottle of Cat Five hot sauce. I am not a huge fan of tuna, but this ahi/poke style of tuna with actual umami flavor elevates a mild sushi gateway fish to something yummy. The oysters were a delight. Shucks has a color coded system in place to help you identify which oysters are which, but my tired old eyes can't seem to make their system work. I did have two favorite kinds but could not tell you what they were. No matter, they were all superior - and small like east coast/ Canadian bivalves are. Dan's beer was tasty and swillable and my martini was appropriately dirty. We got the hot sauce because you can never have enough condiments and cats were referenced in its name. Our server was friendly and efficient. Interesting to me, I was mildly making fun of their music selection and soon after it changed. Coincidence? Dunno, but I appreciated the change to Motown! Bottom line. So, so enjoyable and something we don't do too often these days. It was an expensive meal, but worth the splurge.
