This is a cute little ice cream shop located just outside the courthouse in Franklin, IN. There is…read morefree two hour parking just outside the restaurant and free street parking within a reasonable walking distance. They have a relatively small dining area and serves...you guessed it...hotdogs. They have an assortment of signature dogs to choose from or you can design your own. The staff there was uber friendly. First class all the way. The restaurant was very clean and neat during my visit. I ordered the Judge and a Court Street dog. My food was ready very fast. I would say about five minutes or so. The hot dog was really good, but the dog itself was smaller than most other gourmet hotdog places that I have been. The dog was loaded with toppings too. If I had to pick a favorite between the two dogs, I would go with the Judge. They were both flavorful and tasty, but the Judge just edged out the Court Street. Anyway, this is a decent lunch option if you ever find yourself in Franklin. I recommend checking this place out.

The dining room is clean and adorable, if you love hot dogs. There are tables to eat inside and out. All the menu items sounded amazing. It was hard to choose just one. I had the Loaded dog, which was covered with a coneys sauce, cheese and a ton of crispy bacon. The dog was delicious and filling. They also serve sandwiches and have low carb options. Prices are really reasonable. The staff is friendly and food comes out quickly. There is free parking around the square, but it fills after noon. I highly recommend a visit if you are a hot dog connoisseur. I'll be back.

This is a situation I wished I would have just driven off and abandoned the mission. I was sorry…read moreI didn't go with my gut ( and to also save it ) regarding this one. It was a doomed and very disappointing experience from the moment I pulled into one of the drive in spots. The call buttons don't work on the menu board so you have to honk your horn to get their attention. That's highly obnoxious. They don't know where you are after you honk so they have to guess what car honked. It's ridiculous. OR, you get out of your car and walk to the opposite side of the building and order at a window. Everyone that worked there looked and acted burned out. The kitchen looked really run down and dirty. The health department might need to pay them a visit. When I got the food, it looked hastily slapped together and the only thing that was barely passable and edible was the cheeseburger and it definitely wasn't worth almost 8.00. It was a single patty. The fries were not hot and neither were the fried mushrooms or chicken nuggets. The fried mushrooms were notably and especially bad. They had super thick breading and a tiny mushroom inside. I'm sure they were bagged frozen, but the quality is beyond terrible. They don't offer any sauces unless you ask for them. The ice cream was average and it was overpriced too. It's really some of the worst food I've had in awhile and my digestive system wasn't thanking me afterward. What a waste of time and money. It was truly a regretful experience across the board.

When we went on a Friday night, there was live music on the biergarten's patio, but it was so loud that even indoors, you could not hear your conversation. Upon arrival, even though we had a reservation, and there were only four other tables dining, service was pretty slow to be seated and the poor waitresses seemed overwhelmed. I will say the waitstaff is exceptionally friendly, even with a busier biergarten. The food, I'm sorry to say, leaves much to be desired. Presentation is unappetizing, and as some other Yelpers have mentioned, the meal is definitely not a feast for the eyes. I wish I could say the flavor was better, but everything was bland and underseasoned. My husband, who's never met a sauerkraut he didn't adore, could not even finish his meal. The portions are small for the price, but honestly, the flavor was so underwhelming it didn't matter how much was on the plate. The decor seems very throwback, replete with tourist tchotchkes and and faded pictures of Germany. The dark wood paneling does lend a moody, Germanic air, and from what I understand, they have a large selection of beers on tap.

I typically get the Sausage Trio, which provides a good variety to sample. One suggestion is to call before you come, since it is a smaller restaurant and may be busy during the buffet, or may close early because it is slow.
