We are foodies from Miami and Atlanta! This restaurant is a Gem! Arturo and Chef Katherine are amazing people! The service was great! Yes some might think it was a little slow, but a restaurant like this one needs to be savored! Enjoy the ambience and music! Have a signature cocktail or a nice bottle of wine and just enjoy! Take it all in! This is an amazing place! A perfect 10!

Great place for dinner in San Juan. Come here for a great personal experience. Our server is also the owner and his wife is the chef. They explained everything on the menu from where certain ingredients are sourced and prepared. This passionate approach reflects their pride in their product and their service, which makes a great personal experience. For a group of 6, we ordered all the appetizers and desserts for the table to share.

We enjoyed every moment of our dinner at The Sunset Club, and highly recommend going there! Every dish Katie and Arturo served was delicious art. I have to say that, from the street, I felt the front bar didn't look inviting at all. But please believe me when I say I was transported by the charismatic, timeless dining room behind it, which isn't at all evident on first impression. I'm so glad we didn't let that stop us! Our drinks were fabulous, and Arturo's pride in his work and their restaurant shown throughout the evening there. Both he and Katie, the fabulous chef and co creator of Sunset Club, came to our table several times, each time in a really pleasant and personable way, ensuring we had the best possible experience. And we did. I would rate our dinner as near perfection from first to last, and I highly recommend treating yourself to a fabulous night out.

The food is tasty and very expensive. The portions are way too small for the price. We enjoyed the bone marrow, lobster gnocchi, and filet mignon. The filet was very small like they cut it in half.

Arturo's homemade focaccia bread was superb, especially with the bone marrow butter slathered on it.

Kept seeing a bunch of reviews on how amazing this place was and honestly it's up there…read more To start off, I'm not really a sweets guy so my take is going to be a little off from the general public. We were able to snag a reservation but for a late time which was about an hour and a half before close. The service was super great but one thing I wished they mentioned that the bottled water was going to be a $40 charge lol. Makes sense for any upscale restaurant though. Should've mentioned we wanted tap so fair warning, ask cause you WILL get charged haha. We had a group of 10 and for how big the group was, the food came out pretty fast. I don't think we ever had a time between drinks to entrees where we were waiting for food to come out. We got the watermelons mojito for drinks since it was the most raved about. It was good but personally nothing crazy for me. 8/10 score on that. We also curry popcorn chicken, the ahi tuna lollipops, the empanadillas and the goat cheese quesadillas for apps and honestly overall 9/10. This is where I don't like the sweetness part of this meal. The empanadillas were what I was most excited for but it was more sweet then savory which sort of lose my appetite a little. I think if you like that kind of taste then it's going to be good. It wasn't a bad taste at all. Just too sweet for my liking. The curry popcorn chicken was good and the lollipops were great. Again, nothing crazy. The goat cheese quesadillas was good as well but again, too sweet for my liking. Now on to the entree, they didn't have the porkchop since we came late so I ended up getting the porkchop belly dish. When it came out, it looked amazing but then I got a whiff of it and smelled cinnamon. That's when I was sort of disappointed. It was like eating pork but tasting Cinnamon Toast Crunch and as said before, it tasted great but too sweet for me. This one was way too sweet to where it seemed like a dessert item. I just had poor luck and got one of the one items that were sweet. This doesn't tank the rating down whatsoever because I also should've read it had cinnamon. It would've been great if they made a dipping sauce or something to pair it with and not have it on the pork belly itself. I got to try other dishes my friends got which were good as well but I wish I got to try something else. If I came back I would try the sold out item which was the pork shank or the sea bass. I know for a fact the sea bass was amazing. Had a bite of it and thought "I'll come back for that" Overall, 10/10 experience and nothing bad about the place but gotta try different items when I go next time. I understand the hype now

Everything we ordered was very good, and on an extremely hot day, I was especially appreciative of how well the A/C was keeping up. I was actually a little cold--and I'm never cold. It felt so nice after getting overheated right before we got there. One thing I noticed while wandering around Old San Juan is that some restaurants likely survive on location and foot traffic alone, while others earn people seeking them out. Semilla definitely felt like the latter. It's tucked just around the corner from some of the busiest pedestrian areas, so it felt like we escaped the crowds for a little while without actually going very far. Overall, I'd happily come back. If you're staying nearby and looking for a good meal without being surrounded by the busiest tourist crowds, Semilla is well worth checking out.

AMBIANCE You're in the city so it's an eventful area. There's street parking and nearby lots but your best to carpool or rideshare. As for the vibes, I'm told in the daytime it's a local marketplace that's filled with vendors and other fresh produce booths. It's pretty chill with a nice neighborhood feel. As for the evening, this is where to turn up and get a pulse of Puerto Rico parties. EXPERIENCE Go to your bar, pick your vibe from community, club excessive, lounge feel, live music or etc. Drink choices rangeThey have it here! Plenty of photo op spots and good energy. I was here peak of the #DTMF era so it was magical to see people come together with a speaker and a cowbell. A local put into perspective how this was way better than paying for an expensive hotel party. It was truly a 1 of 1 experience. TL;DR OVERALL 5 Stars. It doesn't get any better. There's a reason why this space is dropped in lyrics and people's recommendations because this is the heart of the people. So don't be shy! Grab a drink, walk around, catch a dance, and be safe! TIPS: * Don't just settle for one spot. Be sure to explore around to experience the entire Santurce experience!

Review #1,047 Posted on 4.26.26…read more We came to La Placita on Thursday the 23rd, when in town to celebrate my buddies 50th birthday. I guess this was purposefully done as I've heard it's nuts here on Fridays & Saturdays. When you get dropped off at the main road when you walk down it takes you to all the action in a few hundred feet. This place was still packed, but it was popping, the place to be at night I'd guess. They've got all JJ da of restaurants, bars, & clubs here. Tons of music, & a good time.
