Stopped in for Cinco de Mayo. I was immediately greeted by a really nice guy. I wanted to pig out so I ordered a king steak burrito, rice and beans. I even paid $6 for extra meat. The dining area was clean with a large painting on the wall and the tv had the Cubs game on. I received my food and went home. The steak was tender but was lacking flavor. I was also disappointed in the amount of double steak. If this was double I would hate to see what it would have been without it. The salsas were good, red really has some heat, which I loved. The green salsa was herbaceous but had an overpowering citrus taste. The beans were creamy and delicious, they didn't taste burnt. The rice was also lacking a bit of flavor. I added some of the red salsa to it which helped a lot. I would go back, but I'm not in a rush. read more

I typically get my food to go and they're usually busy and active. In my mind it's Evanston's local spot to grab authentic Mexican food. So good! Who knew that this joint existed, but clearly others do as it was really busy on a Tuesday night. With that said the staff was super friendly and the food was outstanding. I have never been disappointed with this spot. It's a hidden gem, but usually fairly busy when I've been there. The staff is friendly and professional. The prices are comparable to other quick service spots in the area. I've had numerous menu items- burritos, tacos, quesadillas, taco salads, horchata, rice and beans, guac and chips- all delicious. I have literally no complaints about the food. I normally just order and wait inside (its all cooked fresh!) and we never wait more than 10 minutes. There's a good sized parking lot, though its down my street so I walk there often too. read more

Good prices and portion sizes. The shrimp taco had a generous amount of perfectly cooked shrimp, and the lengua was nice and tender. But there was way too much sour cream and shredded cheese in each taco for my taste - each taco turned out to have a gooey mess of cheesy sour cream mixed with diced tomatoes on top of all the meat. They're very kind as I entered and checked out to get a pick up order, but I feel like their burritos are very small -- minimal, not full of many ingredients. The shredded chicken was very dry. I did like the green salsa, though. I asked for extra cilantro and jalapeño. I did not see any cilantro, and there was tiny bit jalapeño in the burrito. For the amount of $17 plus I'm paying, I would expect a more hearty meal with leftovers. They are OK! Ambience is just like any other taco/burrito joint, nothing too different. read more

"What's good in this joint," I said through a week's worth of beard and chipped teeth that hadn't been washed since the Reagan administration, "and don't say everything," I warned the counter clerk, who looked like Roberto Duran in an apron. "Toda," replied Duran with a grin. Anyway, I got the 3 taco dinner (steak, beef, chicken) m, came with rice, beans, and drink. It was to die for. Thank god it didn't come to that. I have ordered from this spot several times but I notice when they forget something from my order there is no mention of forgetting the item or even apologizing for the mistake. I've called to talk to someone about the problem but instead they talk so careless and say things like "thanks for letting me know" or "it's all good." Which is a horrible thing to say after forgetting the customers food. The customer service here is horrible unfortunately. They don't like to take any responsibility for their own mistakes! I will no longer order from here. They don't care to give you your money back. They will tell you to contact the apps like it's not their responsibility at all! Supreme is an Evanston staple serving up fire casual Mexican eats from tacos/burritos to enchiladas and even breakfast options like huevos rancheros. It's pretty "hole in the wall" but I don't say that negatively at all! Some sort of Fútbol is usually on the tv and the staff is very friendly and on top of their game. In my opinion, this is a taco place through and through. They even offer lengua (tongue) for you adventurous eaters out there. Tacos come with traditional cilantro and white onion and burritos come with lettuce tomato and cheese. The Al pastor is to die for-it is so juicy and you can tell it has been marinating over night. A friendly and helpful person took our order and I was able to pay in advance to save time, some pleasant and happy young patrons who were just leaving held the door, everything was ready and fresh when we arrived, and the food was great! I had the enchiladas verdes, my Father had a steak burrito, the loaded nachos were great (since I'm a vegetarian they gave us a generous portion of meat on the side), and my husband said the quesadilla was one of the best he's had -- with creamy and delicious cheese, tasty hot sauces and everything very fresh. We're about 15 minutes away but this will be at the top of our list for Mexican takeout. read more
