Lies and horrible service. I Ordered a backpack, called to see if they had it in stock, "Yes we have one left" Great I ordered and placed on line, never came. Called in, "Oh yes I pulled that order, it's right here will be going out shortly." Never came, Called 5 days later and was told they cancelled the order. Asked why, and no clue. Never told me and they backpack is gone not in the store, can't buy it. Said to email the shipping dept. Never heard from them. read more

Went in today right before Christmas. Store was nearly empty. Was looking to purchase three wetsuits. Asked employee about wetsuits and were pointed in a direction to a big selection of suits. Problem was they were not in order and we were trying to find sizes starting with our son. We asked about fits but employees could not seem to get out from behind the desk to actually assist with finding the right size. Again, the place was nearly empty. So finally after much trial and error(~1 hr) I was ready to leave and mentioned to clerk that it would have been helpful if they had actually assisted. The first clerk told me I was rude to say that. A few minutes later another clerk came over and was very helpful and apologized. That first clerk should be retrained or move along. He is not good for their business. By the way we walked out with nothing because we ran out of time. Had someone helped us right away they could have sold us three suits. read more

Well let's see how long have I been going to the Surf Station. Oh maybe 25-30 years or pretty much as long as they have been in business. I have watch them grow from a little gas station to this current store size with a Girl's next door shop included. It was a small eatery at one point I believe. They a long time ago had a skate ramp/half pipe join the parking lot. We were working down in the area another skater friend of mine. We saw that and had to stop in. having enough beers in me I asked to use one of these little whipper snappers skate. Then I heard from the kook gallery let the old man go. That was it with a push I was off and show them boys a thing or two. I didn't even walk away with anything broken, thank god. The place is jammed packed full of brand new surfboards and everything and surf wannabe needs. Baggies, leaches, flip flops, wax, I'm sure if you look hard enough you can even find a how to somewhere. Now I don't surf much being old, fat, and out of shape. But, it is nice to go inside every now and then and hell I might even be in one of the old pictures on the wall. Later Brahha read more

Ordered online a set of fcs adapters for my gf's NSP. Was going to buy local but some stores wanted 2 or 3 times what they charge. Great price and fast shipping, still came out to less than the cheapest person in these parts. This review is for an online order. I couldn't believe the price I found here for a Freshpark skate ramp. I was very hesitant to purchase it because I've had bad experiences before with other lesser known online companies. Not only was my skate ramp a great price, they had free shipping too!!! A 60-80 lb. ramp had free shipping? I thought it might take a couple weeks to get (if I got it at all). Nope! I had it within 4-5 days (from FL to VA). It actually came on my son's birthday! A very core surf shop. Great informed and helpful staff, huge inventory and great location. The only surf shop I shop at in St. Augustine!!

Some of the people there were really knowledgeable and friendly, others were not so straight forward when it came to surfing advice. The first night that we stopped by, they were very talkative and gave great tips and opinions about the waves. We were pumped and decided to rent boards from them later in the week. Unfortunately, when we came to rent boards, they were nice but it felt very awkward and they were definitely not as helpful as we expected. For example, when we asked about which beaches they recommended, the guy evaded our question with pretty generic responses without actually giving us any specific recommendations or locations at all. When we rented boards, the guy gave us straps to latch the boards onto the car and just said "have fun" without offering to help us put the boards on, even when we told him we were beginners. When we asked him over for assistance, he didn't know how to do it. In the end my girlfriend figured it out and he just left the latch and informed us he didn't latch it...leaving it to my girlfriend. It wasn't really a big deal at the time but I think it says a lot. read more

I order a lot of my surf stuff online and haven't once experienced an issue till today. I was looking for a Mick Fanning stomp pad and came across The Surf Station's website. I was looking for a particular pad and Surf Station had it so I decided to order it. When attempting to order the pad an error appeared so I figured I miss typed something on my shipping and mailing address. I then fixed something thinking that it was causing an issue but once again another error popped up. After this I couldn't seem to think what it was so I tried one last time to confirm my order. Once again another error occurred. Once this occurred I decided to check my bank account and wouldn't you know I had three charges for something I never confirmed on purchasing. Thankfully, my bank was able to catch the problem and the charges were reversed. At first I thought this was a very nice site with great variety, but once something like this occurs I will not be attempting another purchase on Surf Station's online site. read more
