Decent lunch menu for $21, where you get 5 pieces of sushi and a choice of a premium roll. I got the Albacore special roll. It wasn't amazing, but it was pretty good. In fact, all the fish I tried was decent quality. The value was there at that price point. Okay-looking place with a somewhat contemporary design. When I came in, I was the second person in the whole place and the lack of customers reflected a bit on the waiter's mood. I would still come back, cause all in all, the place is good.

This was by far the best sushi place we've had in a long time! The BSC was hands down one of the best I've had! The crispy rice was cooked to perfection, the sashimi plate was so fresh and melted in your mouth! The rolls that unfortunately were eaten before we could take a picture were the Shooting Star Roll and the No Return Roll. I can't even put into words how delicious they both were. Customer service was amazing. And I can't believe that on a Saturday night they were not super packed. Definitely will be back here!! You're missing out if you aren't here enjoying this place!!!

Chef: 10/10 Service: 1/10 Went for a last minute lunch there today at 3pm. Caught happy hour! Score! My first time here. Came here because I was in the area and saw the 4.8 review rating. Came in. Had to seat ourselves because no one was there to greet us. (That's totally fine). Only 3 tables were filled. Very quiet time to go in. Quickly made an order starting with the shrimp tempura and then the Philadelphia rolls. We got our food promptly! The food was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend the tempura California roll. (I'd even order the tempura dip to go with it). The server taking our order seemed to have slammed our drinks down. (I noticed it but didn't say anything until my guest commented on it). We just figured the server was having a bad day. When we received the food she never once checked in on us. The dirty dishes stayed on the table the entire time. She forgot the philidalfiea rolls. ‍ No big deal. We were still hungry. We were going to make some more rolls. She didn't come back so we went and approached her and asked to order more. We mentioned that she forgot the Philadelphia rolls. She then rudely told us that we didn't order it to begin with. Awkward....um...yes we did. We were going to order more food because we were still hungry. Anyway we are currently on our way to go to another restaurant to order food. The food is excellent! The service on the other hand.

Love the consistently good service and rolls. We were driving home after a long ride from lax with starving passengers. They requested sushi so we went to one of our favorites! Everyone loves their rolls. I had a bento box with salmon and it was huge. I could've eaten half and been very full. We left happy and sated.

Oh my god. What a pleasant surprise to be within 2min walk from my hotel. Beautiful dining area and sushi bar. In town for a USA BASKETBALL Coaches Clinic at Harvard Westlake HS. EVERYONE was so pleasant to talk with and very professional. Management must've asked me at least 4 times how the food was and if I needed anything. Great service. Last but not least-- the R&B background music made the ambiance. Ashanti, Beyoncé, Usher.

It's been while since I've been back here. And as usual it did not disappoint. Not only was service top notch, the manager was awesome too. We walked in a few minutes after happy hour ended. And still he let us order from the happy hour menu and told us not to rush. With lots of sushi options out there, put Thee Sushi House in your rotation.

I have been here about ten years ago. At the time I didn't write too many reviews on Yelp and I wasn't a Yelp Elite yet. Now I won't miss writing a review on a spot that I go to. So today I went to have lunch with my son at The Sushi House. Not the warmest welcome but we were seated right away at a table of our choice. The waitress was also the hostess. My son and I ordered spicy tuna hand rolls and we both liked it very much. Then we got the No Return roll and enjoyed it much. Very delicious. The salmon roll from the happy hour menu wasn't that enjoyable cause it had a white sauce on top that didn't taste good. The seaweed salad and the edamame were fresh and good quality. At the end we ordered a spicy salmon hand roll and didn't like it cause it had an unpleasant aftertaste. So I left mine but my son finished his. Overall a great time here with my son ,, also the radio was on very loud and it kind of bothered us. Specially during commercials. Not the best vibes for lunch time.

Located on Ventura Boulevard, Sushi Tomoki is a small, intimate sushi restaurant with a clean, minimalist Japanese aesthetic and a relaxed atmosphere that lets the food take center stage. (The Infatuation) Since we were dining with our 22-month-old, we requested a table instead of sitting at the sushi bar, and the staff was very accommodating. They even prepared a customized tamago sushi roll for our little one, which he absolutely enjoyed. The omakase was thoughtfully paced, with each piece served one at a time so we could fully appreciate every bite. The fish was incredibly fresh, and every piece practically melted in our mouths. The attention to detail and quality of the ingredients really stood out. The only piece that wasn't my favorite was the sushi topped with mint. It simply wasn't my personal preference, though I'm sure those who enjoy mint with savory dishes would appreciate it. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Everyone was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. They made my sister's birthday even more special by singing Happy Birthday and surprising her with complimentary sherbet and four pieces of green tea mochi--a thoughtful touch that ended the evening on a high note. Overall, Sushi Tomoki delivered a memorable omakase experience with outstanding sushi, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We walked in at 6:40pm and got a nice welcome from Mediko. Without having a reservation, she sat us down immediately. Our server Meika approached us right away to take our order. We started off with a standard size of Garlic Edamame ($6.80), and then ordered few other cut rolls. Spicy Tuna Cut Roll--for 10 pieces ($14.80), Albacore Fried Onion Roll-- count of 12 for ($20.80), Zero Roll-- count of 12 for ($25.00), Rainbow Roll-- count of 12 for ($10.80). Everything was so LIGHT, FRESH and DELICIOUS!!! They also have hand rolls, and other types of cut rolls. They have street and metered parking. Before I forget, we ordered Crispy Rice Tuna that came in (2) pieces for (13.50). The minute I saw that, it made me laugh. Called our server and told her to take that back and remove it from the bill which she gladly did. I thought it was going to be an actual full course rolls. They also have dessert but we didn't order anything. Restaurant was very quaint, limited decor, very busy for Monday mid evening, and was very nice and clean. Total came out to be $95.70 including tax minus the tip. I'm sure they also have a bathroom, but we didn't end up using it. I will return, but not any time soon. They also don't have any Bento Box type of food. Very authentic place to go on a date, friends, family or even dine solo. They also have a Sushi Bar. Alcohol wise, only have beer, wine and sake along with 2 fridges full of cold drinks.. Thank you all very much!!

The fish is supreme quality and freshness, which alone would recommend it, but then the chef dresses each piece differently with subtle delicious flavors that enhance and converse with the distinct taste of each fish. We ordered Sugarfish delivery and it was amazing. It's not the exact restaurant experience but the fish was very fresh and the box presentation was really nice. I love the rice - it is lightly packed and delicious - it even arrived fairly warm (one difference between restaurant and delivery - rice is not hot). So many places have what I call heavy rice - densely packed and cold. You choose from a set box but you can make some substitutions if they have the fish available. When we want sushi delivery, this will be our go to.

It meets all the checkmarks you'd look for in a nice restaurant in terms of environment, service and food. Ambience is romantic. Dim lights, fake candles, and carefully monitored air conditioning to ensure the quality of the food is enjoyable from the moment it leaves the kitchen until you eat. Service was professional and each waiter has an appropriate number of tables assigned to make sure each customer feels like they're being cared for. Price is very affordable for an omakase, and considering what you're getting, the price seems justified. Having had a few omakase experiences prior to Sugarfish, I have to say this was an underwhelming experience. I came because of its reputations amongst my friends and acquaintances. Unfortunately, it did not have the creativity and innovation I was looking for in an omakase. Usually, I'd see chefs take more risk by showing off a new combination of ingredients. Instead, it looked like the price of the omakase was just the price of each dish you could get at any other sushi restaurant. I'm talking a few slices of sashimi, a hand roll and some nigiri. Reiterating - highly recommended for people new to sushi. Minimal decision fatigue and you get to taste a variety of plates. You can order the plates of the dishes you like someplace else.

To be honest, I barely ever try the sushi because the ramen became my favorite from the very beginning, and I always end up coming back just for it. There's seriously some kind of secret ingredient in it that gets people addicted. I also love the shishito peppers, the garlic spicy edamame, and their lava cake. I've tried the sushi a few times and it was good, but for me the real standout will always be the ramen. I come here almost every week or every other week and still never get tired of it. This is already my third year in a row coming here consistently -- there honestly hasn't been a single month where I haven't visited at least once. If you're looking for a luxury or trendy restaurant, this is probably not the place. The restaurant feels simple and casual, but the food is what keeps people coming back.
