Our friends highly recommended this spot so we made a point to stop here on our way into Portland…read more The scenery was beautiful surrounding the drive-in, which also has some indoor and patio seating. They have a nice big parking lot and it was free to park when we went on a Monday. There is a trail and playground nearby so it was nice to enjoy our ice cream after over there. I loved how they had coloring pages and crayons at the counter for the kids to kill some time while waiting for the food! I loved that they had some Asian inspired flavors on the menu which I was not expecting! I kept it simple with a grilled cheese which they serve on a waffle and I also added pulled pork for a small upcharge. The tomato soup pairing was so delicious and it was such a comforting meal in the foggy overcast weather. For dessert, we tried the rainbow brite seasonal sundae, which had these ripe mangoes and ube swirl inside. It was so cute with the little rainbow jellies! The vanilla soft serve itself was really good so I think I would've been happy whether it was a plain sundae or completely loaded like this one. We also tried the guava cheesecake cookie, which was huge and I loved the guava cheesecake filling. Sugarpine did not disappoint and it definitely lived up to the hype. It's a little bit outside of Portland, but definitely worth the drive for the scenery and the food!

Food: The regular price of their sundaes are about $10 but really $12 once you include the 20% tax…read more The flavors were good though. We had the Chery Colada parfait which was a vanilla with cherry and pineapple and the Once in a Blue Moon which is a blueberry ube mix. The cuban pork and boriqua bbq chicken sandwhiches were approx $18/$22 with tax and $17/$21. So you can easily spend over $100 for a family of 4 stopping for lunch. No judgement, just letting you know what to expect and you can decide if it's worth it for you. Service: Non existent in the sense that you stand in line order at a window and seat yourself if you can find a spot, your food comes up at a window, and you throw your own trash out afterwards, but they charge you 20% extra on every items. Why not just raise your prices 20% and put a sign that says no tips? I guess employees would earn more money when it's busy on a Sunday but make less when its slow? To each his own. I'm just letting you know what to expect. Ambiance: It's a walk up sanwhich and soft serve ice cream food place in a great location by the Sandy river. We came on a Sunday and it happened to be their Anniversary celebration so they had a dj and they were doing a collab with some burger place. On this day, it was either pulled pork or bbq chicken sandwhich options or the burgers and the sign said food could take as long as 55 minutes in addition to the line that was over 30-45min long. So we opted for their sundae specials for $8 and burgers because we assumed the burgers would be cooked faster while we were still in line for the ice cream. But NO! Despite no line and nothing being cooked when we ordered, the burgers weren't ready until long after we got our ice creams and finished. Burgers were actually a bargain! Only $48 for 3. So that was only $16 each. Parking was awful. Seating was not much better, we were able to find a table to share with others. I had been wanting to come here for years seeing them on IG and here on yelp but don't make it out to Troutdale very often. So I was happy to finally try them out. Unfortunately I don't know if it is always a 1-2hr commitment. I probably wouldnt make a trip just to come here, but if you are on the Sandy river next door, an ice cream to share is probably not a bad deal.

Stopped by this Le Petit Cafe counter inside of Troutdale Station recently…read more Troutdale Station is a food cart mall with about twenty food carts, a huge parking lot, and a central brick and mortar building with counters for drinks and snacks. One of said counters is a mini Le Petit Cafe. I ordered a marionberry macaron, and, wow. It's a serious contender for a new favorite. The cookie was crisp, light, and a bit airy. The dust on the shell was sour, while the creme filling was sweet. This gave eating it a similar experience to eating a freshly picked blackberry. Certainly one of the most creative macarons I've ever tried. It was a whole experience. I guess it was my lucky day, because as I was ordering, the Barista asked me if I wanted a complimentary coffee drink that had been made by accident. I don't even remember what it was called, but it was amazing. I think it was some kind of vanilla latte. I came back on a second occasion and ordered a 12 ounce caramel latte with a pistachio macaron. I loved the latte, but this time, the macaron was bad. It was so stale that I considered asking for a different flavor. Overall I loved the coffee but found everything to be a little high priced based on the quality. I would still stop by here for a coffee in the future because Troutdale Station has free wifi for customers, and this is the best coffee spot there that I know of.

So much art to look at, curiosities tucked in every corner, space to roam and explore! - Get the passport to make your stay even more rewarding and fun! I love the scavenger hunts and the stamps force you to do things you might not normally do on your own accord. - The full pitch and putt course is a relaxing and a fun way to spend a few hours. It was only $25 per person and took us 3 hours. - I signed up for the Makers Tour and highly recommend it! Lots of tastings and great historical facts along the way. - The soaking pools at night were perfect to relax muscles right before bed plus no kids after 8pm. - This hotel doesn't revolve around children. The movies that were showing were rated R and most of the pubs and pool hall are 21+. Kids are welcome - but I've never seen that many kids around which I like, personally. - It's very Dog Friendly!! - The live music is incredible. I've been here for big concerts on the lawn plus mini concerts down the winery hall. They were all amazing. - It can get noisy between 7-11pm especially in weekends! The building is old - not sure about insulation and things! Bring some earplugs, a positive attitude and maybe enjoy an extra drink! Or go during the week for a quieter experience. - The food is a bit pricey but if you are doing the passport it makes a little more sense. Some of my favorites are the Cajun Tots, Portland Dip, any Burger, and the Bagel and Lox Breakfast is Incredible!!!

The Highlights * The Saltwater Outdoor Pool: This was the absolute highlight of our stay. The water is kept at a perfect 38°C (100°F), making it incredibly relaxing. I highly recommend visiting after 8:00 PM when the pool becomes an 21+ area. * Thoughtful Details: The robes provided were high quality and very comfortable. Pro-tip: Be sure to bring flip-flops for the walk to and from the pool area. * Art & Dining: The murals throughout the hotel are fascinating to look at. We also had great experiences at the on-site bars and the Black Rabbit Restaurant, where both the food and the service were excellent. The Room & Stay Quality We specifically booked a room with a private bathroom and shower. However, most rooms at this location utilize communal facilities. Unfortunately, our room was located very close to the shared bathrooms and lavatories. Due to a complete lack of etiquette from other guests using those facilities, it was extremely noisy throughout the night. Because of the poor sleep quality and the noise levels, we likely won't be staying here again. It's a beautiful property, but the layout and noise issues made it difficult to fully enjoy our birthday celebration.

Back in my day candy didn't cost 20 bucks for rubbed medium size bag. Candy apple didn't cost $20 or whatever. Now the people here are real nice and I've gotten conned in to buying one of their delicious looking apple apples. They hide in the window of this outlet mall, but it seems like at an outlet mall think you'd be less expensive and yet it seems this place is astronomically expensive. I never see many people in it so I imagine if they just lowered their price to something reasonable. They actually get enough customers to then make the same profit. I was too deep with the kids by the time I got in there, but I was sticker shocked. I'm used to going to a candy and other places like that this place just seems steep so maybe take the long way around with the kids

Would you believe the total came to $8.50?? I got in the car and didn't recognize the flavor when I took a bite. Then I realized it wasn't pecans. , it was peanuts. So lame. I told the cashier that I would give a tip, but the prices are outrageous. It was foolish to spend this much on 2 pieces of chocolate. I won't be back- even though my first review here was in 2017.

Walking into the Soda Shop, it feels like a kid's daydream. There was candy and souvenirs everywhere, a big ice cream counter, and, of course, the soda shop. I noticed that they also sell food here-- it smelled amazing and I would definitely give it a try if I came again. Ordering was easy, and the young man behind the counter was really helpful-- I had never been to a soda hop before, so I had some questions about the options. He did not make me feel silly for having questions, and he did a good job of both training his coworker and being attentive to the line at the same time. I ordered a sugar free salted caramel soda (there were so many sugar free options!!!) It was delightful. I was a little apprehensive that it would actually taste like the flavor, but I was pleasantly surprised. The price point is higher than you would pay for a normal soda, but I think that the novelty of the experience is worth it.
