The place was packed but we got seated very quickly. The staff was super attentive and our food came out immediately! We started with gyoza (pork filled and steamed), delicious! And our party of three got ramen, coconut soup and the soba noodle stir fry! The food was great and steaming hot! Everyone was pleased with their choices and the portions were more than plentiful. Even though at this point we were stuffed we had to go for dessert & tried the omg peanut butter pie & the tiramisu. not surprisingly, both were excellent. Apparently they have a dedicated pastry chef who makes the desserts every morning. Service was really good here and my sister in law's friend who was working the bar came over and raved about being employed there which is good to hear. Cant find anything negative to say about this place & you'd be hard pressed to find anybody doing so online really either. Just a local joint serving good food in a fun environment. Highly recommend

The sandwiches were all delicious and this was my first time trying watermelon salad - fresh and perfect to accompany the sandwiches. Their quiches are large and filling - perfect on their own for breakfast. For lattes, we got a vanilla latte, and then their July 4th special, which had strawberry and white chocolate in it - the July 4th specialty latte was decadent - if you like sweet, you should give it a try. I like that they had several "local" beer offerings, and the porter I had was perfect; as good as any I've had anywhere. Our waitress explained that it's because of the local water, filtered by the mountains. I believe it. I agree with all of the five star ratings, but I, myself, couldn't got five because of the predominantly "meat-oriented" menu. I do understand that any restaurant needs to appeal to its customer base, and I get the idea the veganism/vegetarianism isn't real big here in the mountains. I only say that so people with dietary restrictions will know ahead of time, but I do recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting the area.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Sweet Monkey last night. Holly presented us with a lovely choice of entrees and we enjoyed appetizers of 2 types of mussels and spinach artichoke dip followed by beef tenderloin for one, chicken with smashed cauliflower and brussel sprouts for 2 of us and mahi mahi for the 4th. All were fabulous and preceded by a lovely kale salad, washed down with a couple of bottles of Sauvignon blanc. Fantastic. What a great evening! Thanks Holly!
