Sweet Chilli Chickpea and Tofu with veggies special
Lacy H.

My husband and I recently moved to Sycamore and every time we drive by it seems pretty busy so we thought we'd check it out! It definitely met our expectations and has a cute diner atmosphere. The service was good, no complaints there! The menu is huge and full of lots of options which can be a red flag but my meal was delicious. I did get a special which was a tofu and chickpea sweet chili plate with some added veggies and rice. It was a unique and tasty dish. It does look like their specials change every day and they had a long list of them so I think I'd be a little disappointed not to be able to get the same meal again! My husband got a steak burger, for him it wasn't anything special and his fries weren't the best but he stilled enjoyed it. Overall we had a good experience and would recommend.

Eggs Benedict, traditional.

Stopped in here by "accident" a few months ago, had a late lunch, and was so impressed with every aspect of the experience that I vowed to come back for breakfast, which I did today. Had the chopped steak (10oz) and eggs, with hash browns, two over-easy eggs, and marble rye toast. Burger and eggs were prepared as ordered, as were the taters. Fellow diner had perfect traditional Eggs Benedict. There are four different benedicts on the menu. Service was friendly, helpful, and prompt. Coffee was refilled without having to ask. They have daily specials for each different meal time. I'm so glad they survived the troubles. So many mom and pops went out of business. It's a 30 mile drive down country roads to get to Sycamore, a thriving farm community where main street is still vibrant. But it's worth the trip, and if I'm not hungry when I roll through, I'll still pick up some of their excellent baked goods!

I took my poodles in Genoa so I decided to research places nearby! After long walk around and farm visit I found this place to have a breakfast. It is very cute dinner . Service was on point, food was on point. They solved my concerns about my allergies and they recommended me the most delicious pancakes I ever had. I enjoyed coffee and view. I ordered omelette with breakfast sausage, and pancakes on the side. I never had breakfast sausage before. It is interesting flavor, but not my cup of tea. I enjoyed pancakes with butter and syrup. Yum. They have huge parking outside as well as few tables to enjoy outdoor meals.

Had the clam chowder for the first time and it was tasty. Ordered the king on recommendation and it was good as well. Nice little restaurant!

The chicken was super tasty and I loved the block of feta. Although, for 15.00, I could get double the salad and chicken and get pita bread at another local Greek restaurant. I would suggest adding more to the salad for the price of 16.50. I will try something different next time but I think my husband will stick with the Gyro dinner and we will just ask for more sauce and pita bread.

More of a "hole in the wall" diner....but you could smell the food just walking through the door! The girl working the counter was most accommodating and friendly! Came for the creamy lemon rice soup and wasn't disappointed!! Delish!! Couldn't decide on entree so I opted for the $17.00 plate with pork skewer and taziki (sp) sauce soup and spinach pie! Was looking forward to trying their Pastitsio but they were out of it. Spinach pie was a very good second choice! Only downside was no liquor license and we didn't think to ask if we could byob.... They served fountain drinks and nice jugs of cold water ....one infused with cucumbers which was a nice touch. All in all very good food and way more affordable than a fancy Greek (or Mediterranean ) restaurant. Didn't have room for dessert. But looked like some nice offerings. I would go back...even if it were just for the soup!

The space is shared with a pizza place and the sign is not on the building but rather on the windows which are hard to see. I tried the chicken souvlaki plate with a side salad. I was torn between that and the feta fries but felt healthy so stuck with the salad. Wrong choice. The plate comes with onions and tomatoes and the salad was basically just onions and tomatoes. The chicken was really good though and the pita was warm and fresh! I also tried some of the lamb but it was very fatty and chewy. The only water option was bottled water which I was a little disappointed about since i don't like paying for water. It also took a lot longer to get our food than I expected since it has fast casual vibes. The place was pretty empty but it still took about 30 minutes. Overall glad I came to try but probably won't be back again.

The chicken was extremely dry, the fries were flavorless, and the ribeye sandwich was cut into small pieces and was tough to chew. I called the restaurant to let them know about the quality of the food. Alex told me a refund would be issued and said the manager approved it. Later in the same phone call, the manager agreed to the refund and then a different manager reversed course, saying the food would need to be brought back. By that point, the food had already been thrown away because it was not edible. I did take photos of the food in the garbage and will be including them with this review. What was most frustrating was not just the poor food quality, but the inconsistent and contradictory response afterward. I reached out to give the restaurant an opportunity to address the issue and instead received mixed messages and no resolution. Clear follow-through from management would have gone a long way in resolving this experience

Our double date crew has a tradition of meeting in Wheaton as the perfect geographic middle ground,…read moreand this time we wanted Greek. Molos did not just deliver, it set a new standard for our little group dinners. We started with the Pikilia tasting plate and built our own trio of spreads. The roasted red pepper hummus was the unanimous table favorite, bold and deeply flavorful. The melitzanosalata was earthy and subtly sweet, a quieter but beautiful complement. The tirokafteri was good on its own but genuinely shone when swirled together with the other two. And the pita. That pita. Pillowy and soft with just enough structure to carry a generous pile of spread without collapsing. Outstanding. The fried zucchini with skordalia was fresh and light tasting despite being fried, a real trick. The potatoes needed a touch more salt to fully wake up but were otherwise solid. The saganaki was a table highlight, lit tableside with a proper OPA moment, gooey and beautifully crisped on top. Think mozzarella stick that went to finishing school. Mains were all exceptional. The filet mignon was wonderfully cooked, the EVO lemon sauce bringing a bright refreshing contrast to the richness of the beef. The pork chops were well charred and seasoned with the same confidence. The chicken ala feta was bright, light, and satisfying all at once. Dessert was a sampler of everything on the menu, all some gorgeous variation of creamy whipped filling, phyllo dough, honey, and nuts. Every single one cohesive and complementary. We tried them all and had no notes. We sat outside on a lovely evening, left with leftovers for days, and paid a price that felt almost unreasonably fair for what we got. Excited to go back and try more of their menu!

The atmosphere is still delightful with little sparkle lights along the windows and plenty of outdoor seating. They've added an Instagram wall ("Ouzo made me do it"). They now have a proper roasted Greek potato on the menu, and a vegetarian moussaka which I'm very excited about. Vegetarian items still not labeled; GF are. For mains, and vegetarians can get the spanakopita; a buttered macaroni with cheese; or combine various tasty dips from the appetizer section. There's also salad which I ignore. The online menu has a few appetizers I didn't see (zucchini with skordalia! Oven-baked lima beans!). Warning, at least where I was sitting: the booths can move (not nailed down) - be careful when you get up. I got the chef's special spanakopita/tiropita and the roasted potato; be very specific when ordering as I was served the special "Molos Greek potato" with garlic yogurt and shredded cheese, which was fine but not what I wanted. The spanakopita and tiropita were tasty, with a good ratio between filo and filling, served on a folded cloth napkin (great idea, even perfect filo-wrapped items can be a bit greasy). Service started a little slow, as there was apparently a big party (they do that and they cater now). It was OK though I'm not sure English was my server's first language. I'll be back for the moussaka, which looks great (someone at the next table ordered it) and will be very precise when ordering my roasted Greek potato. Hopefully with a side of giant lima beans in tomato sauce.
