With the holidays, the mall was pretty busy so we had a 15 minute wait before a table opened up. We sat right by the window which had great lighting. The s'mores martini was excellent. I am very picky when it comes to alcohol but I loved it. As for food, I tried the shrimp ramen which was also very good. It was perfect for a cold day and it was a very decent portion size. We enjoyed our meals very much. We have a vegan in our party and this place has some good vegan options. We started with the edamame dumplings. They had very nice flavor: a bit tangy, not heavy on salt, and crunchy. I loved the glaze placed on the plate and the dumplings. I had the Mediterranean pita with shrimp. It had great flavor but neither over powering nor too subtle. It came with a large salad. I would have liked some tomato with the salad but other than a bit too much simplicity in the salad ingredients, it had a nice tasting dressing that once again neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed the palate. The chef hit the Goldilocks flavor level: just right. We split the banana bread pudding. Wow, that was a great dessert!! It had nice caramel notes but some bits of tart and tangy with apricot pieces. Okay, never heard of this place until I saw this. My review is mixed. When I enquirer about an outdoor table (there were several empty), I was told we couldn't get one and it would be a wait because they were for reservations. Other people asked too and the hostess rudely said "don't tell me how to do my job," resulting in one party immediately turning around. Side note, the exact table I was hoping to sit at stayed empty the entire time and ran into friends who made a reservation for indoors less than 10 minutes in advance and were seated outdoors, but that's another story for another day. Food...the roasted tomato and goat cheese appetizer, 20/10, I loved it so much I got a second one. The tomatoes are so sweet and the goat cheese isn't too strong. The spicy tequila cocktail was pretty good (7/10), it wasn't too spicy, but I like spice so I would've appreciated more. The cavatelli pasta was a miss for me, the flavor profile is weird with the pumpkin seeds and the pasta itself, for it to be the only pasta dish on the menu, it was a total miss for me, I'd skip this entree. I will say I added shrimp with mine and those were well cooked. My friend had the burger and said with the aioli it was good. Honestly, the kids pasta was better than what I ordered. I got the lavender lemonade and I didn't really like that, it was sparkling and had too much lavender for me, I'd try it again with some modifications. Our actual server was nice also, forgot his name. Would I go back? Yea, because the location is nice, if you're shopping, but I wouldn't travel out of my way to return. This is not the place to come for "drinks and an app". This is definitely a restaurant that happened to have a bar in the middle. There's no "action" or energy, besides the changing of the servers around 4-ish. We came for a few rounds and some apps. We stayed for one round and one app. The drinks were stellar. The service was choppy as they seemed like they were changing from day crew to evening crew. The dumplings were $18 for 5 tiny pan fried dumplings. The ambiance was dead - except for a few tables with moms and strollers. This just wasn't the vibe we were hoping for. I'll give it another shot at some point, but not midday on a weekday. We stopped at The Table for lunch while shopping at the Oakbrook Artisan Market. It was our first time dining at this restaurant located in the Crate & Barrel store. The restaurant is a good size with indoor dining and an outdoor patio along the perimeter. Perfect for people watching while eating and enjoying the fresh air. The woman at the front desk was not welcoming, no greeting or smile as she sat us at a table on the patio,. Service was unattentive at first as we sat waiting for someone to greet us for the first 10 minutes. Thankfully once a server came to our table, we had better service. I ordered a blue fog iced tea that was not only beautiful to look at, but so tasty. I ordered the crispy tofu poke bowl, and my husband had the hot chicken sandwich with waffle fries. Who would have ever thought that Crate & Barrel would have their own restaurant? This elegant gem is hidden in the midst of plants and kitchenware. No.. seriously. You have to walk into C&B to find the restaurant. First off, I recommend doing a reservation. Personally I love resy because it saves time. But this place is definitely the IT place when touring the outdoor mall at Oakbrook. Upon being seated, we (4 of us) all order beverages; both mocktails and alcoholic drinks. I personally ordered the Lavendar lemonade, smoked salmon tartine, and the banana bread pudding for dessert. The lemonade was delicious - imagine fresh squeezed lemonade with fresh butterfly pea tea merged together... absolutely divine. The acidity can be a bit much however it's refreshing and light. Picking the tartine is an awesome choice for sometime who is hungry yet not wanting to be overstuffed. I will say, I found the salmon to be a smiiiiidge sweet but it helped that it was flavorable and not dry. The side salad could use more fresh veggies. Tossing together greens in vinaigrette isn't a salad and doesn't compliment the main dish. The banana bread pudding was great. The Table definitely put their own twist on this desert. Again, not heavy but just the right about of sweetness and bread. The mixed in fruit with the chocolate crunch on top was an amazing touch to the soft bread. The service was great but our server did not do a great job with recommendations. When asked, he always went to his personal preferences (which was all the basic items) rather than what most customers request/ customer favorites. Huge shout out to Carlos the manager who gifted us a free roasted tomato goat cheese appetizer just because. He did an amazing job checking in on us, ensuring we enjoyed our visit, and the food. I've been wanting to try this restaurant out for quite some time. I was pretty pleased. I ended up getting the guava colada and the salmon which were both delicious. My husband got the burger which he said was pretty good and my daughter got the pasta. We did get a dessert to go, the apple crumble, which I wasn't too crazy about. The apple chunks still had the skin on them which threw the whole thing off for me. Other than that I would definitely visit again. Wow! If you enjoy unique flavors and creative pairings this is the place! An array of lemonades started us off enhanced by lavender and another with strawberry peach notes. Our family of 8 had a delicious dinner starting with the lamb flatbread, dumplings, hummus with cashews and fries. The sauces were top notch and even the waffle fries were accompanied by a tasty aoli sauce. The Katsu chicken sandwich was my favorite. The gnocchi were delicious with a tasty corn based sauce and peppers. The salmon was excellent and the udon noodles with shrimp even better. The CB salad with chicken also was a hit. A bit of room was left for dessert and we all shared delicious peach gelato , creamy strawberry sorbet, banana bread pudding and lemon curd! All rich and so flavorful. This is a great place with contemporary fun food with healthy options, including vegetarian. Part of the appeal of this place is that it has the crate and barrel way to walk around and look at furniture or furnishings. Bathrooms are upstairs so you get to see the appliances and it's fun! Tofu ramen w shoyu base is very good! The Mediterranean is very good. The ramen soup bases were very good. Nice food for sure. One Gripe: the roasted eggplant ($18) was kind of terribly weird. They said it was baba ghanoush, but it was definitely not. They brought it in with the skin on and stuffed that eggplant with eggplant that was seasoned w just salt and cut into strips and topped with feta cheese, pumpkin seeds, chickpeas, Cucumbers, and Carrots. The serving size was not good, so I was still hungry afterwards, and there was barely any taste to it except for the feta cheese. I would highly recommend this item be taken off the menu. read more

Interesting place. The menu is upscale pho and seafood. There were not many sandwiches or appetizers on the menu. This is more of an upscale date place. Nice bar and wine list with a personable staff and nice ambiance. It is an experience. Oh the latte is excellent and the dessert menu is impressive. I will definitely try brunch here. My wife was itching to have lunch at this place, so we went. I didn't see the appeal of eating inside a store restaurant, but it was pretty nice. Even though it was busy on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, we got seated right away and got an amazing corner table. The water was served in nicely shaped glasses. The menu is pretty limited, but we ordered a tomato goat cheese dip with sourdough as an appetizer and a Korean bbq salmon entree. The tomato dip was superb. Very flavorful and plentiful bread. Even my wife liked it and she's not a big tomato person. The salmon dish was also excellent. The salmon was tender and flavorful without being slathered in sauce. The grits were creamy, and the coconut gave it an excellent burst of flavor. The only downside of the dish were the undercooked, under-seasoned Brussels sprouts. The bill came to $52 with tax and tip, which I find expensive for one app + one entree at lunchtime, but we enjoyed the experience and the meal. read more

I just went recently to treat my mother for her birthday. It was today actually, Sunday Nov 19. The food was okay but the service was extremely poor. I asked that they prepare her a dessert and told them which to prepare because banana pudding is her favorite. I was informed the dessert would be on the house for the birthday and I was told my server would be informed. It took us about ten minutes for our server to even bring us water. And then another five minutes before he found our way back to our table to order food. It took so long the table next to us had to tell THEIR server that we had been waiting a long time. Our meals came out. Nothing was hot but the taste was good. Que another 15 minutes before our someone even came back to check on us. Note: it wasn't our server. Our server actually never came to check on us. We were finished with the meal and pretty ready to leave at that point. Never got the promised birthday dessert. Not surprising since our server treated us with such carelessness. It really put a stain on my mother's birthday dinner. After I paid, I went to let the restaurant know how poor the service was and to say that it was really disappointing not to even have the dessert I had prearranged for show up, the person smirked, laughed and said "ok." No apology nothing. It was shockingly ill-mannered, impolite and startlingly unpleasant. I would totally skip it. First we shared beautiful, delectable edamame dumplings--essentially excellent pot stickers served on a bed of peas, radishes and cucumbers... She took our order and one of us asked for a specific sauce and she said she'd bring it and then of course it didn't come out, when she came by to ask how things were we asked her for it again and she never brought it so we had to flag down a different server to get it. We had two orders of Avocado toast and they were very good - crispy bread, creamy avocado spread and a very, almost non-dressed spring mix green salad. It was a very generous portion but frankly it was so smoky and so gloppy that it was unappealing to eat on the bread as presented. This place is always packed in warmer seasons, and I understand why. The food, drinks and service is awesome. The menu is fairly small, but that's a good sign of good food. My 2 favorite items are the crate salad with salmon and the burger and fries. The combination of flavors in the salad is marriage made in heaven and the salmon is always seasoned and cooked to perfection. It's exactly what you would expect since they use all of their own bowls, silverware, glasses, etc. The chairs are super comfy, the views are sunny and bright, and it was the perfect girls' lunch spot! We each started with a mocktail, which were all delicious. Table service and/or the bar were SUPER slow so we waited over 20 minutes to be served, which was crazy. Curry fries were on point, tomato basil soup was among the best I've ever tasted in my life, and my friend raved about the kale Caesar. During some store checks with my boss, we stumbled across this nifty concept which I had no idea that Crate had created! We almost went to another spot nearby but we were so intrigued, we just had to try it! The ambiance was chic and classic, in true Crate style, and the service was commendable! I ordered a beautiful (served in a large mug mind you) cappuccino and it was just what the doctor ordered after a long day of walking around checking retailers for our products. For lunch, I had an out of this world cauliflower lasagna that I can only pray I will recreate myself one day. The cauliflower was not fully shredded, they were more of shaved hunks if you'd like to think of it that way, and they were the base for the ricotta, fresh Italian seasonings and herbs, and topped with Parmesan of course. It was served in the most adorable little pot pie style dish with a lid (or a mini Dutch oven) and I was super into the display. My boss got the Crate salad which was loaded with tasty ingredients (she chose the less heavy route) and she seemed just as pleased with her meal as well. You learn something new every day! So next time you want to splurge on some expensive and amazing home items, stop on in for a treat to take your mind off it. read more

Such a cool little eatery inside the Crate & Barrel store. I like to stop here when I'm in Oakbrook and want to grab a quick snack, a cocktail and people watch. I usually get the waffle fries with Aioli or a salmon salad, and one of their tasty mimosas, or a glass of Rosé and so far it's always been a hit never a miss. The service is good. Workers are friendly and it's so cool they use a lot of their C&B glasses, plates and silverware. You have the option to sit outside or inside. Outside is great for sipping a nice cocktail or a latte, conversation and people watching. Indoor is a great option as well. Menu not super extensive, but definitely a nice selection of entree's to choose from. Price point I will admit is on the pricier side for what you're getting. What a fun dining experience at The Table at Crate! Seriously obsessed with this whole idea - probably because I love Crate and Barrel so much. The atmosphere and vibe is really pleasant inside. I walked in on a weekday afternoon for lunch and sat at the bar. There was definitely a substantial crowd inside. I loved that they use a bunch of their populate dinnerware, glassware, and flatware when serving the food. The drinks were amazing. Definitely on the pricier side but it's so worth it! The pasta was so fresh and tasty too, and the portion size is great. I really appreciate how vegetarian friendly the restaurant is. It shows you can make fresh, culinary artistic food that works for all diets! It's also cool that they rotate out their dishes and serve a variety of cuisines. All in all, I had an excellent experience and hope so badly C&B rolls this out to their Seattle stores!!! read more

Visited recently with a couple of girlfriends for lunch. We wanted to sit closer to the windows towards the inside of the mall since there was more outside natural lighting but instead we were seated closer to the middle of the store on the opposite end. We were told the tables were reserved for a team coming in from Nashville in order to better see the concept as they may plan to open a location there. Whenever I go out with friends we like to order a bunch of dishes and try multiple dishes family style. Since it was midday and we all needed to get back to work we opted to try the spirit free drinks, we each got a different one and they were all very tasty and refreshing. Our waitress was very attentive and knew the menu very well. She was able to offer great recommendations. We ordered the waffle fries with aioli, spinach and artichoke dip, watermelon salad, mushroom fricasse, chicken BLT tartine, banana split dessert, and another dessert with a chocolate like pudding with fresh fruit. We absolutely loved the mushroom fricasse and the watermelon salad! They looked good and tasted even better. The curry salt on the fries were a nice added touch for a different flavor profile. Loved the puffed rice crackers, but the actual dip itself was nothing to get excited over. The tartine looked pretty but was just ok. The banana split dessert was also pretty tasty but may have had a little too much chocolate syrup on it...if I order that next time I may ask for them to leave it on the side rather than pour it all over everything. We ended up eating here twice now on 2 different occasions while shopping at the mall and it was so good both times. The food is great, the service is great, and it's also the best people watching, if you're into that. We got sat outside, which we actually preferred and there were heating lamps that kept us at the perfect temps. The edamame dumplings and waffle fries are so delicious! Those edamame dumplings are our favorite and I wish I could eat them everyday. We also really liked the flautas and the yogurt parfait, although watermelon in the yogurt parfait might've been sort of a weird choice, some berries would've been better than the watermelon. They also have delicious coffee and lattes. Oh and I'd like to mention that everything we got is vegetarian since my friend is a vegetarian, v solid veg options here!
