I also make my own smoothies at home and I pretty much order the same type of smoothie I make at home...if it ain't broke, don't fix it, amirite? I've noticed a few times coming here, there are different people working and the past two visits have left much to be desired. I just ordered the Breakfast Smoothie, which is the only smoothie I order from here. I sometimes add protein but ALWAYS add chia seeds and cayenne. For some reason on this visit, I received a weirdly loose smoothie. I added cayenne, chia and vanilla protein. The person that took the order was not the one that made my smoothie. It was extremely sweet and watery which doesn't make sense if I'm adding protein powder. I asked if they add sweeteners and was informed that they add agave. This is not listed on their menu boards and if they do add sweeteners, they should inform the public so we can opt out if necessary. As I said, the smoothie is extremely watery and when adding chia seeds, it thickens the smoothie, especially when blending it. I asked the girl who made the smoothie, if she added the chia and she then asked the guy who took the order. He said they did but you can tell that they didn't or they didn't use much. Chia seeds leave black specks in smoothies, even when using a Vitamix. I'm not sure what's happened to the quality control but I'll probably wait a bit before coming back. The time before this, a completely different person was behind the counter and she added the protein powder but didn't make up for it with any additional almond milk so I ended up with a ridiculously thick smoothie. I'm seriously gonna need them to vet the people they leave behind the counter. You have to adjust for customizations, y'all. For real. Three stars bc my son's smoothie didn't get screwed up.

The tater tots were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and avocado. They gave me a huge portion of crinkle cut fries, which also would've been great with a little more seasoning, but they were good when dipped in mayo. My husband got the shrimp and grits and appreciated the large portion size as well. I had a lemonade to drink. It was refreshing since it wasn't overly sweet. Service was great. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. I find that some places forget to sweep after customers and I hate to step on food so I was glad to see that being done. My server was kind and attentive throughout my visit. I ordered the country skillet with soft scrambled eggs and pancakes. The country skillet is delicious. Crisp home fries, assortment of veggies alongside bite sized pieces of bacon. The eggs were exactly how I like them. Most diners overcook them even when asking for soft scrambled. I would definitely recommend this dish. Unfortunately I didn't like the pancakes. The texture seemed off, almost gritty like and I couldn't get past it. So I took one star off for that. Both dishes were large portions and could be split easily by two people. Overall I would recommend this diner and I plan to come back again.
