Joel is amazing. I have a 12-year-old Weimaraner, and because she's a short-haired breed, I've always bathed her myself. But recently, it seems like she feels dirty a day or two after I give her a bath. When I heard Joel say that dogs feel and smell clean for 2-3 weeks after one of his grooming services, I was immediately intrigued. Then I considered that he would also come to my house - saving me from having to get in the car and drive anywhere - and I scheduled an appointment. I'd been putting off giving my dog a bath for a week, and the grooming appt couldn't come soon enough. When Joel arrived, I walked Maddy out to the mobile grooming van. He took his time to talk to her and make her comfortable. I left her there and went back inside to get some work done. Joel texted me when he was nearly finished, and I went out to pick her up. She was so SUPER clean and soft. I was absolutely thrilled with how clean and shiny she was. And she stayed that way for about two weeks. On top of that, the grooming service included cleaning her ears, clipping and grinding her toenails, and brushing her teeth. I do all of those things (except grinding toenails), but I don't do them as well as a professional. It was a relief to know they'd all been done more thoroughly than I can do. And her toenails were as short as I've ever seen them. I couldn't believe how much Joel was able to do with the grinder. Going forward, I intend to find room in the budget to have her groomed in a regular basis. This was a super service for the whole family! read more

Mobile Groomer! DREAM COME TRUE! I have two dogs, corgi mix and big black lab. They both love this groomer. They jump up to greet him every time . He even does cats, yep cats. The best part is he comes to your house in a van that's fully equip. No more leaving my dogs with those sad eyes of doom. They just hated being in cages for hours and the noise of the other scared pups around them. Now they run back into the house happy, jumping and looking great. They do a great job, from bath, nails, ears and cuts. Also I'm so happy they do bathing service for my big dog. While he's not cut he gets a nice bath, ears and nails. Oh and did I mention deshedding, yes deshedding. The dogs are returned dry to the house no wet pup running around. No more long winter stink going on because he thinks the tub is a monster. I promise you'll love their service. I see a big difference in my home as well, less dog hair and dander. Im not having to change out air filters as much. I found Joel because our neighbor was having their dog done. I saw what an amazing job they did with him. So, I called while he was still there to see if I could get my very long fur pomeranian done, she is 10 yrs old and quite a momma girl. I got lucky and Joel was available the next day (8/7) around 11:30 or so. He got here and left Lucy get comfortable with him and we discussed a few things. When it came time for her nails, he had me come out and hold her as she hates anyone but me to mess with her paws. I was amazed at the job he did with her. I love the idea of not having to drive her to a doggy wash and refuse to let a brick and mortor shop work on her again as the last time it was a disaster. Their service includes doing their teeth, nails, ears. Which at Petsmart, you pay extra for all that. I'm very finicky with my Lucy as she is my fur daughter, and I can't speak highly enough of Joel....He has a special way with animals, and my Lucy totally loves him. He is the only one who will ever groom her again as long as she is still on this earth. She was so happy when he was done, she was prancing around the house as if to say, "hey, look at me, aren't I just too cute"....and when her daddy came home, wish I had videoed it, as it was adorable. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I will never take my dog to a brick and mortar store to be groomed ever again. I have a rescue Beagle named Bob. He hates riding in the car and gets car sick. So basically it would negate the entire grooming experience every time. Joel was great with him and it took less than an hour. Soooo, one day I see this van parked on the street. I walk up and asked info about his services. He introduced himself as Joel, walked me through what he did, showed me his work space inside the van and gave me a business card to book with him. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable when it came to grooming. He looked young so I wanted to make sure he had some experience. I booked the appointment, he let me know when he was outside. My dog, (who usually barks at anyone who comes near me) was very comfortable with him. I love the fact that you can still get your things done inside the house and not have to go to another place to pick your dog up from the groomer. The thing I was mostly impressed by is the fact that my dog is a runner. He's like a windup toy as soon as you put him down. Joel put my dog on the ground and told him to come with him and my dog ACTUALLY listened and followed him. A true dog whisperer. My dog was originally matted from always having a harness on and he had a lot of tangles. When he came in the house he looked great!!! Joel did a terrific job grooming my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel!! Her ears are quite matted/knotted so they had to be cut very close to eliminate all the tangles. Miya was not a willing client but Joel was able to give her a really cute haircut despite the fact that she was fighting it. My dog is anxious about baths and the dryer but Joel's calm and professional demeanor put Miya right at ease! At first I was happy I found a place that came to our home since my oldest dog is 17. That first time Joel, came he was pleasant and dogs loved him. He did leave dog hair all over our driveway and not from our dogs, it was dark gray and black hair. When we set appointment up for second time. He changed the times twice then day of said he was running very behind and could he come later. I had to cancel since we had dinner reservations. They never got back to me to reschedule my dogs. I have been taking my dogs to Petsmart for years and thought they were clean but now I see that they do nothing and have been paying for horrible service. My cat Bella needed grooming and a cut last week due to her thick fur that had developed matted areas. She did beautifully and she looks amazing! What an amazing experience! To have someone come to your home and groom your dog with you right there is the best feeling ever. No worries about how your pet is being treated because you are there with him while he is being groomed. My Yorkie needed a full summer cut and Joel did an amazing job! He worked with me to find a time that would fit my schedule and was extremely flexible. On July 16 I contacted Joel to see if he would groom my paralyzed cockapoo and received a quick response and that they specialized in special needs pets. I was so excited so I asked for their earliest appointment 2 days later I received a response that he could book me sometime after August 2nd so I said sure anytime is good I'm home all the time, no response I again tried contacting him on July 23rd and again two days later receive a response that he's out of town and could not book anything until he's back in the states in August so I replied asking for their first available appointment when they return. At that point I did not and still have not received a phone call, email or text. I don't understand how someone can run a business like this it's been almost two months since I first contacted them, I would never use them or recommend them for anything very poor communication. I've since been grooming my dog on my own until I can find someone I can rely on to groom him. So I would 100% NOT recommend The Tailored Groomer read more

I've never had such a hard time trying to book an appointment in my life!! They took days and sometimes a week to respond via email so by the time they do respond the time slot you requested is no longer available. When I tried to call to book, they had a recording stating that someone would reach out by end of day but I still haven't gotten a call back. After corresponding back and forth for WEEKS with the groomer (who is very pleasant and apologetic) we finally got a time scheduled, but that wasn't the end. A 10 minutes after my appt time and no sign of the groomer, I call the groomer and am told that his boss told him that I am outside of their jurisdiction so he is not able to come. Why this wasn't known before the appointment was scheduled is beyond me. Eventually, I get a call from the callous owner/president of the company who seemed to not be able to care less about all that I have been through and tells me I can bring my dog to an area within their jurisdiction to get groomed for like $20 less than the usual cost because "anything less than that just wouldn't be worth our time," according to him. Needless to say, I will never EVER recommend or solicit their business again thanks to the disgusting President and poor management of this business. read more
